TheSuperNerd: Leave out Iheanacho!!! Nacho was injured for almost the entire 2014/15 season while Solanke did his goal-scoring business.
Nacho's only appearance before his return towards the season's end was a less than 15 mins cameo before he picked up a serious injury in the Uefa youth league. (He only featured for less than 11-15 mins in the Uefa youth league--- On page 113, you made it look like he featured in the whole competition because Solanke finished top scorer #smiles).
On his return he banged in 6 goals in 7 games (plus scoring against Solanke's Chelsea in a game- the 2nd leg- Solanke didn't even score. Chelsea won 2-1 and 5-2 overall I think? To lift the FA Youth League cup..... Nacho didn't even play the first leg. He only played the 2nd and that was his only appearance in the FA Youth League cup)...
When it comes to Solanke and your absurd comparisons with Nacho.... You don't give the whole facts!!!!!! Just because you wanna make Solanke look too good comparatively..... Not good Sir!
Solanke is no match when both are at the peak of their powers..... Mr. Forgiveness Solanke. #smiles
.
I'm still watching.... Keep your eyes open. #winks Technical facts proved that when Iheanacho eventually played, they were still thrashed by Solanke's Chelsea. Meaning nothing changed afterall. Na still the same class dem dey but one get A while the other get B. So, how do i leave out Iheanacho?

The question was why did we substitute Amuzie for Echiejile. I said, the coach might have wanted a wing back to offer more forward.
I also said I disagreed with the change because a creative player will offer more. I stressed that was the wrong change. Over and over again. I said we needed the likes of Nacho and Iwobi in.
With the announcement of Amuzie's knock, it showed two injuries, Etebo and Amuzie messed up Coach Siasia's substitutions. How can a coach had wanted a wing back to offer more forward when he knew the threat Salah will pose to the team? Amuzie was on yellow and was likely to get another because he was mesmerized by Salah. |

In the games against Egypt, his job was to stop Salah. It was simple as that and his Defensive show was impressive. I think the media downplayed the strength of Salah and expected to much from Amuzie. Bros, Which one you dey now. Yesterday, you said we needed a wing back to move forward but today you are saying we needed to defend. |

Icon4s: Why should u remove Ndidi from d defense for Abdullahi? Both are utility players and every coach would want to have such players in his team. Because you said this earlier. Icon4s: Firstly it is Omeruo nt Omerue.
I like ur criteria of Versatility and experience. I agree with 4 out of ur 5 defenders. Bt I would rather include Ndidi as a DMF and get an additional Wing back. Ndidi as a DMF on d list would also serve as a back up CB.
I said 4/5 bc Shehu Abdullahi to me is ahead of Moses Odubajo.
Kingsley Madu is currently Nigéria's best LB.
The experience btw Omeruo and Balogun makes them a very good pair.
For now, my best starting backline is Abdullahi, Balogun, Omeruo, Madu. |

TheGoodJoe: Amuzie: I picked up an ankle injury against Egypt By Olakunle Brown
New Super Eagles left-back Stanley Amuzie has revealed that a knock to his ankle was responsible for his substitution against Egypt before apologizing to Nigerian fans following the team’s failure to qualify for the 2017 African Cup of Nations.
The Samson Siasia led side lost 1-0 to the Pharaohs of Egypt courtesy a lone strike by Ramadhan Sobhy which effectively ruled Nigeria out of the biennial tournament for the second consecutive time.
The Olhanense of Portugal defender was replaced at half-time by Elderson Echiejile and many thought it was for tactical reasons but he has revealed that his substitution was due to a knock he picked up during the first half of the game.
“I was substituted during the game at half-time due to a little knock on my ankle,” he wrote on his official Facebook page. “We wished the result could’ve turned out differently but God knows best. We are so sorry and promise to get it right again.”
He added: “I thank you all for the support and prayers even though we didn’t qualify. We are sorry and looking up to a bigger one ahead.”
Group G was left with three teams after Chad withdrew and the victory of Egypt over the Super Eagles gave them the sole ticket in Group G over Nigeria and Tanzania.

What you keep leaving out in your 169 minutes/six starts is that Amuzie was injured. After he returned, he started six straight matches.
By Patrick SMH!!! Amuzie has played 6 games after returning from Injury. http://ca.soccerway.com/players/stanley-amuzie/435681/
Aminu is one of the best Nigerian players in Europe, won like 4 MOTMs this season and there is no way he will not be ranked among top 20 Nigerian players in Europe.
http://forumforum.cybereagles.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=270425&p=4751777&hilit=Amuzie+soccerway&sid=c2d4c3cb26d7be72017d65aa6e9ee41c#p4751777 Ok, do the maths. He started 6 straight matches right? Now, multiply 6 × 90 minutes, what do you get? 540 minutes. Ok, let us assume he didn't finish the matches but atleast he must have played 45 minutes each. Now, multiply 6 starts × 45 minutes, what do we get? 270 minutes. Now minus 270 from 169, what do you get? 101 minutes. It means the boy no play ball this season. From the screen shot below. He only started one match out 6 and came in as substitute at almost the end of the matches. This boy is not fit enough. No sentiment.

RevDesm0ndJuju: The Duara goat has started putting pressure on the Ghanian govt for rightly refusing his fellow criminal Fulani herdsmen from entering Ghana freely.
This move by the Ghanian govt is to have all entering Ghana to be documented.
ECOWAs still remains a free migration zone for all member states.
The Ghanian govt hopes to ensure only those with legal passports can enter Ghana and that they must be documented !
Most of you on nairaland have no single trace of cognitive reasoning and can't seem to understand what this new immigration policy by Ghana is meant to curtail.
ECOWAS, if I must remind you does not have sovereignty over any of it's member states!
West Africa is not some liberal cesspit EU that allows millions of undocumented migrants in!
Use your brains for once! Do you mean people don't enter Ghana undocumented? |

Due to the limited numbers of players required to make the list for the Olympics, i humbly suggest that utility players should be considered for selection and above all experience and talent. These criteria has helped me to frame up a list of players i think are potentially good enough to help us win or atleast create an impression in the Olympics. Starting from the back line: 1) Moses Odubanjo; Moses Odubanjo can play as a RB, LB, RM and as a RW. He is currently the most consistent RB we have right now. Odubanjo plays for Premier League promotion prospect Hull City. He has won individual laurels;Leyton Orient Young Player of the Year: 2012–13, Football League Young Player of the Month: April 2014 2) Kenneth Omerue; Kenneth doesn't need any form of introduction because he is an old guard of the Super Eagles. His wealth of experience which he garnered at the AFCON won by the Eagles and at the World Cup will go a long way to help fortity the defence. He can play as a RB and CB. Omerue plays regularly for his Turkish team Kasimpasa-sk. 3) Leon Balogun; Arguably Nigeria's most in-form defender in Europe. He is eligible to play as one of the Overage players. Balogun can play as a RB, CB and DM. He is currently plays in the Bundesliga with Mainz. 4) Williams Troost-Ekong; Many will be suprised to see him on the list but be rest assured that he deserves a place on my list because he is the most experienced among the lots having played in the Dutch Eredivisie for 3 good seasons before he moved to Gent this season. He was sent on loan to Haugesun in Norway where he is helping team to top the league. He can only play as a CB. 5) Kingsley Madu; Kingsley can only play as a LB but he is the most consistent and experienced left back eligible for the Olympics. He was a member of the 2013 U20 class and currently the Super Eagles. 6) Stanley Amuzie; The only creterion is na Siasia boy. Apart from that he can play as CB and LB. I think TheGoodJoe will be happy about this. However, this boy is always on Siasia list. But if Siasia drop sentiment. I will either pick Shehu Abdullahi or Musa Mohammed. This is my list for the the defence. I want us to replicate the Atlanta Olympic team by chosen only 5 defenders. Any objection before i move to the midfield? Icon4s, TheGoodJoe, BlackAlbino6, TheSuperNerd, terzurum5, Joseph1013, orkpekyandega, lakesidepapa BascoVanVeli, Badosqi, tbaba1234, justiz5 and the big bros i didn't mention. Ahmed Musa was forced to give Mikel Captaincy - Reports Biyi Akangbe 3 hrs ago 1, Local, News Reports have emerged that Chelsea midfielder Mikel Obi actually insisted he will only feature in the AFCON qualifiers against Egypt if he were made Super Eagles captain, and coach Samson Siasia and top officials thereafter pressured Ahmed Musa to relinquish the armband. Mikel was assistant captain to Lille goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama when former coach Sunday Oliseh picked AhmedMusa as the country’s new captain in October. AfricanFootball.com now reports that Mikel demanded the Eagles captaincy when he spoke with caretaker coach Siasia prior to the matches against Egypt. “Mikel made it very clear to Siasia he be made captain if the coach wanted him to play the crucial matches against Egypt,” a top source told Africanfootball.com. Pressure was thereafter mounted on Ahmed Musa to surrender the Eagles captaincy. It was also gathered that a top official of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) advised Ahmed Musa to drop the band.. Siasia would then hold a private meeting with Ahmed Musain his hotel room in Kaduna on the same matter.“The meeting was for 30, 40 minutes, just Siasia and Ahmed. And it was in that meeting that it was made clear to the player to give up the captaincy,” a source revealed. Immediately after this tete-a-tete, coach and player headed to the press conference where Ahmed Musa announced Mikel as new Eagles skipper while accepting that there was “a mix-up” when more senior players were overlooked for the leadership of the team. http://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/2/823733544?-21310:8643 |
