I doubt you understood my earlier points. Are you implying Nigeria did not have any midfielders apart from the 3 Keshi chose to take to Brazil? I dont understand.

I dont think there is such a thing a Keshi hater or Keshi fan. Every true supporter of the Super Eagles wants the team to win every game even if a Monkey is the Manager, never mind when we have a former hero as a player like Keshi as manager. If we dont in and play rubbish fans will criticise big time. na so e dey be everywhere o!

The problem is Keshi gave too much ammunition to critics with his logic defying selections especially for the Confederations Cup and World Cup! He already somehow managed to forge a winning team for the AFCON in February, so why did he have to change the Squad so much for the Confederations Cup which was only 4 months after by inviting Emeka Eze, Mohammed Gambo, Joseph Akpala?? He didn't have to do that...when you do things like that it had better work, because if not? well you know....

Then the Gabriel Okechukwu scandal too....gaddem
Chai! Tell dem! Tell dem! grin

Note: The Home-based players are 22 in number and will kickstart preparations in Nigeria on sunday, march 6 (Isn't 22 too much?). The best of which will be selected and added to the foreign pros who will join in later. I think this is the Siasia's interim crew's strategy. ONLY SIASIA AND YUSUF WERE AVAILABLE FOR THE MEETING WITH THE TECHNICAL COMMITTEE, according to reports. Amuneke is still in Spain.

Hehehe! See selection. Sia Sia, how many times did i call you? No fall hands ooo.
So, you mean Anthony Ujah and Leon Balogun doesn't deserve a spot despite their performance over the weekend?

Which sacking? He did not have a contract, he received no money from them, no money to support his coaching crew.

He made the choices that were available to him after the NFF stopped him from using home based players. List the players you are saying he called because of perceived sacking.

Perceived sacking because of being the best since Coach Westerhoff.
So, you mean Keshi coached for free and did not receive a dim through out his tenure? shocked

TheGoodJoe:

Which of the players are you asking for? Coach Siasia is about to shame some of Coach Keshi's haters by inviting Aaron Samuel. Is it Omeruo or Babatunde you are looking for? Is it Leon Balogun?
I have already told you, most players he later brought into the team was as a result of the perceived sacking of his defender and protector just to pacify some people. Keshi think say na only him get sense kwa.

TheGoodJoe:

How can the best achieving coach of the Super Eagles since Coach Westerhoff kill Nigerian football? We reached a stage France had to injure key players to win us.

We beat the Ivorians and put four past Mali. We played a draw game with Catalonia and played 2-2 with Italy. Two days after we qualified for the World Cup.

Coach Keshi rekindled the dead flame of the Super Eagles. He was a blessing.
What is the purpose of having extra players if 11 players are good to go? That's what determines a good coach.
His bench was poo.

But the same coach failed to qualify us for the same Nations Cup. I hope it was not fluke. grin

TheGoodJoe:

That is why Coach Keshi is a genious. I did not even know the name Aaron Samuel, he saw a star and the boy delivered. I did not know Mba was good, Coach Keshi saw an AFCON hero. I thought Omeruo was too young for the Super Eagles, Coach Keshi saw an AFCON defending hero.

So when Coach Keshi is working, people missed his genius work and called it sentiments.
Where are the players you mentioned today?

Genius! grin The guy even took injured players to the Nations cup and World Cup.

Keshi helped killed Nigerian football with his selection of mediocre players.

TheGoodJoe:

I do not think Coach Keshi was as sentimental as people think. People especially the media were short sighted of the brilliant work of Coach Keshi.

For instance, look at the reviews coming from CSKA about Aaron Samuel or Raja about Michael Babatunde. It was clear Coach Keshi was worked towards a goal but the bullies in the media and NFF kept on painting the man as sentimental and tactically inept.

Not every selection pays off immediately but patience will go a long way.

Since Coach Keshi's revival of the Super Eagles, we only had Coach Oliseh heading the Super Eagles. I do not think that is enough to write off indigenous coaches.
Those two players you mentioned were brought in after Keshi perceived that his defender and protector was already a gunner before the election hence the need to start bringing other players from other part he conspicuouly ignored for a very long long time.

However, selection should be based on current form and and sentiment. As at time, can you boldly say those players were the most informed on ground?

Keshi - NFF technical committee made sure they pushed out 'Big Boss'

by Samm Audu

The technical committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has been described as “a source of destabilization” in the country’s football and they have only succeeded in bullying and sacking national team coaches.

Former top NFF officials Charles Ojugbana and Austin Mgbolu raised serious concerns over the technical committee headed by Chris Green, saying the committee is one of the problems facing football in Nigeria.

“This group of people (technical committee) has hijacked football in the country. They have bullied and even sacked coaches who have gone against them,” said former NFF spokesman Mgbolu on a television discussion programme this week.

“They made sure they pushed out Stephen Keshi and now it is Oliseh.

“They have had overbearing influence and have shown they are a source of destabilization.

“This is a committee that should be dominated by technical experts with proven track record, not just somebody who will analyse the match between Arsenal and Manchester United.”

Ojugbana, who rose to be deputy general secretary of the NFF, also echoed a similar position, while arguing that the NFF have totally mismanaged the appointment and subsequent resignation of Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh.

“Oliseh was hailed as ‘Pep Guardiola of Africa’ when he was appointed. But his resume did not back such a claim and his appointment was mismanaged,” he said.

Well, my opinion is this, Oliseh was not fit to coach the Super Eagles in the first place but due to one reason or the other which i am not ready to disclose now, NFF appointed Oliseh.

The thing about Nigerian coaches which i don't like is that they select players based on sentiment and nepotism only.

Foreign coach is long over due but if only Siasia and Garba are considered then i will raise no eyewbrow against local coaches.

Really, grin grin very inciting!

Selfishness is the best word used to discribe a person with a very shallow mind in my own perspective hence the unnecessary bloodletting. But believe me not all human are selfish.

Remember, After the first fall of Oyo empire by the Nupe's, Oyo empire revenged after 90 years. And in dis current dispensation, they have not forgiven not to talk of forgotten Ilorin. That is the ordinary mindset of many Yorubas. I think they have the same character, on this one.

Like i said earlier, the communication gap between the North and the South is the major problem.

Besides, always fill your heart with love cos it is healthy for your heart no matter the reason.
