Lol.... you can believe what you want to believe Forgiveness but I have just told you the truth. I speak(chat) daily with someone who speaks to Rohr almost daily. Like "daily" and then "almost daily". wink And the person keeps me posted. But it's fine.

Now, Alampasu is at a much lower level and needs to build some consistency before he can be considered. He is not on the level of Uzoho, Okoye and even the new boy Yakubu. Tobias is also working his way up fast. Adeleye is still on the radar but not in better stead now than Yakubu. There is also Osigwe who is an outsider. Options don dey rise.

And Akpeyi is still around but one of these new young lads will displace Akpeyi with time and retire him from the team. That is the goal. Alampasu is only in the conversation as an outsider for now. His time will come if he keeps up his resurgence. Simple as that. And don't forget, this is a lad I also rate well.

And you have already watched the leagues and you want me to accept that Latvian football league quality is as "kwantawa" as the ones in Israel and Slovakia. One must surely be better than the other. Slovakia that gave us Moses Simon and Samuel Kalu. Israel that gave us a good part of Enyeama and Aiyenugba. I just dey look you. grin

Anyway, believe what you want to believe. Na your way. It's fine.
Alampasu is not in any lower level than Tobias, Yakubu and Adeleye. Fact

Okoye? It's good he got a move to Eredivisie league but he has never played at the highest level above Alampasu who just left the Portuguese league.

For now, German connection is what is helping him. Somebody who only played in third tier German football is better than somebody who played in the Portuguese league.

Favouritism is at work. It has nothing to do with level.

If he was not invited to the national team, I don't think he stands a chance of getting a move to Eredivisie.

Okay. Your grouse is about whether Alampasu is playing at a lower level compared to some of the other goalies abi? Not about a NT invite.

Okay well, I remember this whole discussion can be traced to me explaining to a moniker here a few reasons why Alampasu cannot be considered for now b'cos the discourse was about the new goalies being considered (Yakubu, Tobias Lawal and Adeleye). Part of those reasons is that Alampasu is playing in a league whose quality level is definitely lower compared to the others and that the lad only just returned to action so should be allowed to really build consistency.

Now if I am to agree that no top-flight league is below the standard of some 2nd tiers, then that would only knock out Tobias and Adeleye since that is what you want to achieve. But again... It doesn't knock out Yakubu who is a starter in a league of better quality compared to Latvia. Simple.

So with that Alampasu is below Yakubu surely.

But again, I speak honestly when I repeat that Alampasu is not playing at the highest level compared to any of these lads. Most especially Yakubu. The Latvian league. Hmmm.... Forgiveness. Just take your time and watch the league. Pick any game. And compare to the quality of the Austrian 2nd tier and Israeli 2nd tier. You will see it for yourself. No need to drag this talk further.

Just understand that although Latvia is a backwater league, Alampasu getting playing time is what is most important to us. Then surely with time, he will get another chance in the long run. I still rate him and I really hope he does well enough to bag move that steps him up from Latvia within the next one or two years. But for now, he is where he is and still working. We hope for the best and while we hope, we turn to others who are potentially ready for now. Simple.

And alright... So you don't agree that The English Championship is better than some European top flight leagues not even better than Azerbaijan Top flight or the Swedish Top flight. Okay. grin
The reason given didn't correlate with the facts on ground. Totally false and void.

Rohr decided to call the players he WANTS or THINKS is BEST for his team. I don't know.

You are not in Rohr's head to claim that was his reason.

I already watched those leagues. Na kwantawa football dem all dey play. I mean the Slovakia, Latvia and Isreali leagues. Nothing to write home about.

Both rankings are valid. But let's work with the 2020 you posted. It's very much okay.

And calm down Naa... Alampasu played in the first round of the Europa league qualifiers and they took on a team from Moldova. Latvia is ranked higher than Moldova Naa. They even managed to win. The team was Dinamo Auto. So man relax. I dey follow this guy bumper to bumper. grin

Okay, Samson Tijani is also gonna be playing Europa league qualifying with TSV Hartberg, does this now mean he is playing at a higher level than Mikel Agu? Agu did his thing in Portugal last season and still is in Portugal pending when his Nantes move does materialise.

Talking where both currently play comes down to the league eventually. Yakubu is in a league more highly rated than Latvia. That is the fact I want you to accept and be okay with.

And the again I say that the other two have been performing well in decent 2nd tier leagues and one of them is now bound to go up with the first team. Also, I have seen the quality of the leagues concerned and it is understandable why Alampasu is not in the picture for now. Besides, Alampasu just returned and is trying to have his first full season in a long while. Allow the lad. Don't try to rush him by insisting he must be called up now.

Finally, If it is just my opinion that the Austria 2nd tier is not below Latvia then you must also then disagree with me for saying that the Championship is better than some European top flight leagues. Finito.
How can something that will kick start in 2021 be valid now?

Whether na dinamo Oshogbo or Dinoma bolekaja em play, as long as it's UEFA competition, it's remains the highest level above Slovakia league.

Portuguese first division is sure better than the Austrian League but once Samson team gets to play in the UEFA competition, he is playing at the highest level above the Mikel Agu. However, I will choose Mikel Agu over Samson because he got more experience than Samson.

Where in my post did I insist Alampasu should be called?

I only cleared the false impression that Alampasu is playing at the lower level compared to aforementioned players. Far far away from the truth.

I didn't agree championship is better than the leagues I mentioned in the first place.

Hehehehehe.... You didn't reply to the part of Yakubu playing in a much better league than Alampasu naa. You completely left it unaddressed. So you "stylishly" agreed. Or you still saying that is not so? grin

And there was nothing really to correct. Was using 2021 rankings that will kick in once this year is over, Latvia will be #38 dropping one place from #37. Austria will be #10. Moving 2 places up from #12. And Israel will be #22. It was only a matter of which year ratings we were using. The one you dropped is for 2020 but small changes are expected to be made soon.

Now, I corrected you on the 2020 rankings saying Israel is actually 14 places higher than Latvia. You said 12. Probably a miscalculation on your part. And the point remains same... Both Austria and Israel are leagues upon leagues above Latvia. Finito on that.

And I already answered you on this 2nd tier thing. I just told you English Championship is definitely better in quality than some top flights in Europe like Sweden for instance. And I see the same thing when the 2nd tiers of Israel and Austria are brought in comparison with Latvia based on quality. Simple.
The Championship is definitely better than some top flight leagues in Europe like Sweden, Norway and even Israel but since there is no actual rankings to assess that would you say that is also not true? Come on. Lol.
The last time I checked, Alampasu is playing in Europa League while Yakubu is not.

Can you show me the 2021 UEFA ranking?

Well, according to you, 2021 ranking will kick start in 2021 hence 2020 ranking is Valid for now.

Based on this, you needed to be corrected and you were because we are talking about NOW.

Both Isreal and Austria leagues are above Latvia league. There was no time I disputed this fact but Adeleye and Tobias are NOT playing in AUSTRIA and ISREALI FIRST DIVISIONS. FACTS.

It remains your own personal opinion. Latvia league is ranked above Austria and Isreali second leagues leagues. Fact

According to you,we should use UEFA ranking to decide that Shaktar are better than Chelsea but moving to Chelsea will be a better move because technically (putting UEFA ranking in thr inconsequential), Chelsea is better than Shaktar..

Is Salzburg bigger than Rangers and Genk?

Anyway,Tijani has been loaned out to TSV Hartberg
Margin between Sharktar and Chelsea is minimal. However, Chelsea is in the top five leagues in Europe. Ranking is still on point because UEFA ranking of Chelsea in the last five years places Chelsea above Sharktar.

But both Rangers and Scottish Leagues are below Salzburg and Austria league in UEFA ranking.

On the other hand, Genk is in a better league than Salzburg though Salzburg is ranked higher than Genk but if we look at the performance of Salzburg in Europe, it is far ahead of Genk.

Is Napoli bigger than Porto and Rangers?

Firstly, at least you stylishly agree now that Alampasu is not playing at the highest level compared to at least two of the lads now. Okay, Let me say even one... Yakubu. So that is settled. grin

Now yes, The English Championship is definitely better than some top flight leagues in Europe. Players playing in Sweden for instance may make moves to the Championship and it is seen as an Upgrade. Coz it is easier making it into the EPL from the Championship than to make it into the EPL straight from the Swedish Allsvenskan. The rarity of it is there.

Afterall, England is #2 and Sweden is #21. Would you also say playing in the Israeli top flight is better than playing in the Championship? Or the top flight of Kazakhstan is better than the Championship? Ofcos not. So you see... Even some second tiers are better off in quality compared to some top flights. And from my observations after watching a couple games across all three leagues, that is the case with Israeli 2nd tier and Austrian 2nd tier compared to Latvia.

The latest 2020 rankings you show actually has Israel in #23 and Latvia in #37. That is a 14 places difference. Not 12.

And Yes, based on this Austria is 25 places ahead of Latvia. Still emphasises my point. 28 or 25... It is still over 20 places above Latvia.

I have been using the postulated 2021 ratings that follows the latest 2020 ratings as released by UEFA on August 26/27.
Where did I agree in this post?

I only corrected you and asked a question.

The last time I checked they are not playing in the FIRST DIVISION of Austria and Isreali leagues. That's is a big fat lie.

Which of the League is championship better than? Isreali, Switzerland, Greece Swedish etc?

Players move from championship to Swedish leagues too. It doesn't justify your assertion.

Based on your assertion, is Championship better than Isreali, Serbian, Sweden Switzerland, Greece, leagues?

Stop calling Championship and Ligue 1. They don't make sense in making a case for you at all.

England that has the Championship is #2 in Europe. France is #5. Russia is #7. What is the gap here? Just 3 or 5 places? See why Championship over Ligue 1 won't fly? So many reasons why it just won't. We watch the leagues and we know. The ratings show the gap is not much at all between England and France.

But I speak of Latvia (#38) and the 2nd tiers of Israel (#22) and Austria (#10).

Israel is 16 places above Latvia. Austria is 28 places above Latvia. Slovakia is 8 places above Latvia.

Now Yakubu is in the Top flight in Slovakia and doing very well. Bagging more Clean sheets consecutively for a modest first tier side. He is in a better and higher league than Alampasu and is first choice too at his side.

This Yakubu alone defeats your statement stating "Alampasu is playing at the Highest level compared to the players mentioned.". grin See where you lied? wink

But let me finish it...

Tobias is in Austria which is 28 places above Latvia and did it for LASK Juniors in the Austria Bundesliga 2 and is also a part of the LASK first team now going into the new season. Likely to keep switching between duties for LASK and LASK Juniors OÖ.
The Bundesliga 2 is in Austria which is 28 places above Latvia. And I have watched games from both leagues. Please... Latvia is not better. That is me being factual.

And lastly, Adeleye (who is even the least considered of the new three) is in the 2nd tier of Israel and Israel is rated 16 places above Latvia. Adeleye is first choice for his side and played 33 games last season in the Liga Leumit. I have also seen a few games from Israel and seen some from Latvia. Honestly compared to the ones seen in Latvia, I can tell you again...the Virsliga is still not better. It is really low quality. It is even rated below leagues in North Macedonia. Ever heard of North Macedonian league? Do you think it is better than the Israeli 2nd tier? Lol...

Latvia is better than leagues in Malta and Kosovo but not better or rated above even North Macedonia.

So you can see Rohr is not being partial here. He is right to focus on lads who had been active in their roles in decent 2nd tier leagues that are in countries rated far and above Latvia and then on another lad who is fast rising in a top flight league.

So my dear Forgiveness. Alampasu is not playing at any "highest level" than anyone being considered and I repeat Adeleye sef may not make it for now. His time too will come if he keeps it up.
Point of correction, Austria league places 25 above Latvia league while Isreal league 12 places above Latvia league.

Based on your assertion, is Championship better than Isreali, Serbian, Sweden Switzerland, Greece, leagues?

And it is rather your assertion that Alampasu plays at the Highest level compared to lads like Yakubu and even Tobias that is right abi?? grin

I have taken out time to watch Alampasu in Latvia. I have seen the quality of the league. I don't just go by their low Uefa ratings. I have seen it for myself and the truth is what I say. The Latvian league is not better than the Austrian Bundesliga 2. It is also of a lower level compared to the Slovakian league so no way Slovakia and Latvia are "almost on same level".

Like I said, I rate Alampasu and want him to do well and work his way back into NT reckoning but right now, a Super Eagles invite is not on the table and rightfully so. Allow the lad to keep doing what he is currently doing for Ventspils. He is working his way back after a long time out in the cold of inactivity.

And bringing in Championship better than Ligue 1 is really funny. How is the Championship (2nd tier of Europe's #2 league) better than the Top-flight of Europe's #5 league?? Do you see the quality of Neymar, Ben Yedder, Mbappe, Fonte, Depay, Camavinga in the Championship??

Saying the 2nd tier of a #10 league and #22 league is not below the quality or is even better than the quality of a league rated #38 is definitely not the same as saying Championship over Ligue 1.
England is #2. France is #5. And we both have seen the strength of both leagues.

But in the case of Latvia... Come on... #38 that is 28 places and 16 places below Austria and Israel respectively. Ofcos I can compare their 2nd tiers to Latvia coz I have seen games from there too and I can tell you that the quality of Latvia is not better. Even Rohr knows this.
The fact that Latvia league is ranked higher than Isreal and Austria second divisions in the UEFA ranking, Alampasu is playing at the highest level compared to them.

I will rather go with UEFA who are professionals and are in the business of ranking leagues and clubs based on designed and acceptable metrics than accept your own personal verdicts through personal observations and opinions.

As it stands, Latvia league is better than the second divisions of Isreal and Austria leagues.

Is championship better than Eredivisie, Belgium pro League, Russian league, Turkish league, Austria league, Greece, Switzerland leagues?

Latvia league is still low quality compared to the second divisions of Austria and Israel. It is not better.

We talking of 2nd tier leagues that have their top tiers rated #10 and #22 in Europe.

Latvia is way way down in #38. The backwaters of European league football. That is the honest truth.

And how is a #30 rated league (Slovakia Fortuna Liga) ALMOST IN SAME LEVEL with #38?? You think that 8 places gap is a joke abi? Forgiveness you have come again. grin

Listen, there is no case for Alampasu here. Allow the lad to keep playing b'cos he only just returned from a long inactive state and the league sef is poor quality. We just give it mentions here because we have Nigerians there same way we give Albania mentions b'cos of Egbo. Now Albania and Latvia are "almost same level" with Albania ranked slightly higher in #37 while Latvia is a step lower.

I hope you also know another lad like Osigwe could also be considered (if Rohr thinks it) ahead of Alampasu if he starts playing for his new side? He is now with Lugano in the Swiss Super League. Switzerland is #17 in Europe so go figure.

Listen, I rate Alampasu but right now, he doesn't deserve an invite ahead of the likes of Yakubu who are in better leagues or those who have been very active in decent leagues. The likes of Yakubu and Tobias are good to come in now and compete for places alongside the likes of Uzoho and Okoye who are both ahead. Alampasu's time will come but he needs to keep working.
Your assertion that Alampasu plays in lower level is false. It solely based on your own personal opinion because the last time I checked Isreal and Austria second divisions are not ranked by UEFA above Lativa league.

What are the Uefa rankings of the teams in Israel and Austria second divisions compared to the rankings of teams in Latvia first division league?

No doubt about it, Latvia first division is in backwaters of European League football. So are Austria and Isreal second divisions and Slovakia league.

Word is Tobias could be made Second choice if all goes according to plan and he had a solid season in the Austria Bundesliga 2. Austria is Europe's #10 rated league. Doing well as a goalie in their second division is something. Rohr got in contact with him recently and with good reason too.

And Slovakian League is indeed ranked way higher than Latvia. Yakubu's club may be lower compared to Ventspils according to the rankings you quote but it does not cancel the fact that the league quality and level of competition differs markedly.

Afterall, take Besiktas for instance. They are bigger than some English Clubs by reputation and ranked even higher than some of them in the UEFA rankings but does it mean playing for them means getting a better or higher level of competition week in, week out compared to playing for a side like Southampton in the EPL??

This is not about the clubs. It is about the week in, week our quality of the competition. Latvia is poor in quality compared to Slovakia, Israel and not to mention Austria.

Alampasu has to just keep doing what he does and hopefully he gets a move away from Latvia. Remember he only just returned from an inactive state and has began doing decently in Latvia. He still hasn't done enough for now to earn another invite. He is doing okay at the level he is now but it is not enough for now. That's the truth.
Latvia league is not lower or poorer than Israel and Austria second divisions because that was were Adeleye and Tobias played so far.

"means (ing) getting a better or higher level of competition week in, week out compared to playing for a side in....." second divisions of Isreal and Austria

Slovakia league is ranked 30 while Latvia league is ranked 39. They are almost in the same level.

Alampasu team is currently one of the best team in Latvia league and are currently playing in Europa League. Now, that is another advantage over Yakubu.

I will rather choose Alampasu club over Yakubu's club.

In EPL, you get to play at least 6 good teams but the rest are nothing to write home about.

In Beskitar, you get to play with better players, coached by a better coach and play with better facilities. Chances of playing in UEFA champions league or Europe with the best in the world are very high. You can from there get into a bigger club if you do well.

Except you want me to believe UEFA competition is not better quality than EPL.

Tobias Lawal is with the first team of LASK too. He played for LASK Juniors in the Bundesliga 2 of Austria last season.

Yakubu is in Slovakian Top-flight and doing very well.

Adeleye... Well... He has been on the radar longer to be honest, that is why his name was mentioned but he is not close to getting an invite. His chances are now very small.

It is Tobias and Yakubu that stand better chances.

Alampasu is doing okay for Ventspils but Latvia is really way down in the ratings of leagues in Europe. His time will come. He kept goal for Ventspils in their Europa league first qualifying round win maybe if they can make it into the Europa group stages, that could give him a higher platform to show himself.

Remember that Alampasu have been invited before by Rohr but right now, he has to do more to get back.
Latvia league is still better than the second divisions of Isreal and Austria where Adeleye and Tobias played respectively hence Alampasu is not in the lower level compared to them.

Untill Tobias plays for LASK he should be rated above Alampasu. He is not even the third choice in LASK.

Slovakia league might be ranked better than Latvia but Alampasu's club is far ranked above Yakubu.

Picture 2 Alampasu's club ranking

Based on UEFA ranking Salzburg is better.

Samson Tijani - Red bull Salzburg is the third biggest move so far behind Napoli and Porto. CSKA and Gent follows.

I hope Onazi signs for Crotone. However, I think the introduction of MRI test has helped our football. Oyinbos will nologer worry of buying overaged players. Kudos to the Inventor of MRI. Best thing to happen to use.
