Danielnino00: Adekanye wanting to play for Nigeria shouldn't be the only criteria for his call up. I dunno what ur stance on this foreign born issue is,but any FB wanting to play for Nigeria should prove himself at club level first..In in Bobby case he hasn't done enough to deserve a call up even for the u-23 .. Your pal Komekn himself preached that only the u-17 should be reserved for academy players . Where did you see Adekanye should be called to the Senior National team? Does wanting to play for Nigeria tantamount to only playing for the national team (Super Eagles)? Read and comprehend before rushing to comment. |

This guy is ready to play for Nigeria but we have snubbed him until now. Adekanye confirms he is '80%' sure he will make a move to LazioDiane Poletaeva 5 days ago Corriere dello Sport Bobby Adekanye is on the brink of signing a deal with the Serie A side. The winger will join the Laziale for free due to summer contract expiry. The player confirms he had talks with the director Igli Tare who reassured Bobby has bright future with their club. Adekanye himself believes he has a lot to learn from players like Immobile and Correa. Liverpool winger Bobby Adekanye, 20, has come very close to signing a deal with Italian top flight Lazio. "I have been to Rome, I have spoken with Lazio and they have excellent plans for me. I am interested in the proposal. I spoke with the director Igli Tare, he thinks that I can become a good player and that coming to Lazio could be a good choice for my career. "I'm following all the matches of Lazio. In Serie A I could enhance my qualities because I like to attack. Immobile is a great player, if I came to Lazio we could have a good tune. "I could learn a lot from Correa too, he is another very good player. How close I am to Lazio? Eighty percent. I still have to make the final decision with my agent and my family. Soon you will know."Bobby Adekanye will have a World Class resumé when he arrives at Lazio this summer, some may say he never stayed anywhere long - but the real truth is that his agent & him are smart guys with a good plan and everything so far made sense for them. — Jan Říha (@HonzaRihaftbl) 23 марта 2019 г. Earlier Goal correspondent Neil Jones claimed the deal is 'almost complete'. "Bobby Adekanye's move to Lazio is edging closer," Jones tweeted. "He'll be leaving LFC on a free this summer, and a deal with the Serie A side is almost complete. He has another option on the table but Italy preferred destination." Bobby Adekanye's move to Lazio is edging closer. He'll be leaving #LFC on a free this summer, and a deal with the Serie A side is almost complete. He has another option on the table but Italy preferred destination. — Neil Jones (@neiljonesgoal) March 22, 2019 Numerous sources linked the Nigerian-born Dutchman with Lazio in January but the Italian side denied the rumours then. It appears now the transfer is a reality for the hot prospect who has failed to break through to the first team. He's got ability but he's well off the first team at #LFC and has loads to improve. Needs to go and play, and didn't want to stay without knowing he would get opportunities. — Neil Jones (@neiljonesgoal) March 22, 2019 Adekanye moved to the Netherlands from Nigeria at the age of four and joined the Ajax academy before leaving for Barcelona. After an impressive loan spell at PSV, he joined the Reds in 2015. While his display at Liverpool's U19s and U23s earned him much praise, Bobby has never come really close to the senior squad. It should hardly be a surprise given plenty of attacking options Jurgen Klopp has. https://tribuna.com/en/liverpoolfc/news/3357324/ |

- Alhassan Yusuf - Hamdi Akujobi - Kingsley Michael - Tom Dele Bashiru - Nnamdi Ofoborh - Miracle Nwaorisa Good list but I hope these are not the only foreign players invited to the camp? Noah Okafor should be the prime target. Followed by Mujaid, Deji Beyreuther and Marvin Park. I heard the Bennett brothers will be in camp. |

XhosaNostra: For starters, he served only ONE TERM. So he set an example for those with a conscience, unlike many who wanna rule for life, even when they're one foot from the grave! He was a rare breed of his kind as far as Africa is concerned. He gave up power! If that's not something worth emulating in our Africa that's plagued with power-hungry dictators, then I don't know what is.
Furthermore, he united South Africans under his tenure. Many African countries are in need of such unbiased & unifying force, instead of having presidents that thrive on division, because it distracts the people from the incompetences of their leadership. That's another rare quality of his worth noting. Africa is an entire continent, so it was not up to him to liberate it (as old & sickly as he was when he was head of state) when each country has its own head of state that is capable of making decisions that aren't self-serving, but choose NOT to for reasons only known to them. Africa doesn't need a messiah. African people need to liberate themselves from the clutches of selfish leaders, but that's a risk many of you are not willing to take for reasons best known to you. Mandela played his part & set a standard for those with a brain to use. Well, I think he is only influential in South Africa. Abdulsalam relinquished power as military head of state in a military rule to a civilian president in Nigeria. He restored the current democracy in Nigeria. This is despite the fact that he found himself in that position due to the death of a seating head of state. His tenure lasted for just 1 year. Even Obasanjo was the first African military head of state to handover to a civilian president. So, I don't think Mandela case was special. Perhaps, Obasanjo influenced him to do that. Mandela to me is not influencial to any African outside South Africa. Halle Sellassie is the number one most influential African that ever lived. This is because after African saw the weakness of Europeans in Ethio Italian war, they came back to Africa to request for independent boldly. |

The bolded got me cracking. The bottom line is, our coaches are glutinous. They are always looking for any little avenue to corruptly enrich themselves. |

We don't need to stuck the team with overaged players just for personal gains. This is one of the reason all these foreign clubs are not interested in Nigerian players because they know they are grandpapas in kids clothing. It's just of recent they started looking our way because of the players that went through MRI test. I think those who have access to communicate with NFF officials should inform them about these foreign players. |

The anti-corruption body claim to recover bilious they can barely account for.
it is so pathetic.... mind you our cadet team coaches will rarely play those under 17 foreign born players reason because they wanna market the local groomed.... with that they can fetch some cool cash from their signings...I used to think it was because they were not paid...but my thoughts betrayed me after Sanusi who was placed on a 5M monthly salary and other benefits took bribe....
greed is in the hearts of many Nigerians

A slight variation or dialect of the same language spoken all over Igbo land from parts of Delta to Rivers State. Same way Egbas speak a variation or dialect of the same language spoken in Ondo.

I just read we can get Chelsea Tariq Uwakwe if we are really serious..dude is a midfield mystero Since, their focus is to make money for their own pocket, how can they be serious to get talented players? You saw how Garba kept Fawaz and Stephen on the bench for those players that are not better than them. How are we sure the third goalkeeper and Adrian are not better than those on the pitch?
