BlueRayDick: Kompany did not only do well in the Championship, but won it. Guess what he did in the EPL? yes u guessed right, he has successfully relegated the same team.
Anybody can be the Pep Guardiola of the Championship, it is what u do managing a team in the EPL that people will use to judge u. Nevertheless, Kompany took Anderlecht to 3rd position in the Belgium pro league and cup final though he lost it. That's with a better team. The probability he will do well in Germany is positive. |

When was Lampard ever a better manager than Arteta?
Lampard took over a team that Sarri had just used to trash Arsenal in the Europa league final in 2019; Guess what he did with that team? He used that team to lose against Arteta's team in FA cup final 2020. That was Arteta winning his first cup less than one year of taking over at Arsenal.
Lampard was never a better manager than Arteta at any point in time. Lampard was a great football player , but a shitty manager. Everyone at Chelsea knows this, those at Everton know this as well. Well, Lampard did well in the championship before he was considered. Remember, it was Lampard that used Mount on loan from Chelsea and made him a regular player in Chelsea due to ban. |

BlueAngel444: the way some people here who claim to know football make comments it's amazing
Either they get too imotional or something. Why not consider why Kompany was even considered, why did Burnley fail in EPL, honestly Kompany spending 110m and still getting them relegated is a very very big RED flag but Bayern isn't Burnley and that's not EPL, he may go there and win the league. Did anyone here predict Xabi would win bundesliga this season. 110m on over hyped British market. Anyway, like you rightly said, Bayern is a different ball game entirely. Kompany Anderlecht team played beautiful football then ooo. You can imagine implementing it with more talented Bayern players. I am indifferent because anything can happen. Goodluck to Bayern Munich. Kompany has experience though. |

Kompany has 6 years of coaching experience though. I remember he was a player coach of Anderlecht in 2019/2020 season before he became the main coach.
Anderlecht finished 3rd on two occasions. |

Chelsea: Romano refutes Tuchel ‘talks’ as five ‘candidates’ named as Man Utd eye Pochettino
Jason Soutar 34 minutes ago
Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna is one of four “candidates” in the frame to replace Mauricio Pochettino at Chelsea, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Chelsea sacked Pochettino on Tuesday following the club’s sixth-place finish in the Premier
The decision came as a surprise to many given the Blues’ strong end to the campaign but there has been lots of speculation surrounding the Argentine’s long-term future at Stamford Bridge.
Romano has revealed that many players are “saddened” by the decision but insists it should not be too much of a surprise given how “tense” it has been between Pochettino and his superiors since his arrival last year.
Plenty of names have already been linked with the Chelsea job since the club announced Pochettino’s departure on Tuesday evening, including former boss Thomas Tuchel.
It is being widely reported that the Londoners want to bring in a young, progressive coach, with former managers Tuchel, Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho not being considered, nor is ex-Bayern Munich and Germany boss Hansi Flick.
Instead, Ipswich’s McKenna has quickly emerged as the frontrunner, while Roberto De Zerbi – who has just left Brighton – is a name being frequently mentioned.
As well as McKenna, Chelsea are targeting Stuttgart boss Sebastian Hoeness and Brentford head coach Thomas Frank, while Sporting’s Ruben Amorim is also being considered.
Tuchel to Chelsea? Fabrizio Romano says no This is according to Romano, who says Tuchel is not a target, while Hoeness will be hard to sign due to his commitment to Stuttgart – who have just finished second in the Bundesliga to qualify for the Champions League.
“As I already reported, in case Chelsea wanted to replace Pochettino, and this is now the case, they would like to go for a young manager,” Romano said in his CaughtOffside column.
“Managers like Thomas Tuchel and Hansi Flick are all attracted by the possibility of going to Chelsea, even without Champions League football, but at the moment I’m not aware of concrete talks with these managers because the information I’m getting is that they want a young coach.
“Some candidates are being discussed internally, and there is big appreciation for Sebastian Hoeness, who is really highly rated after the job he’s done at Stuttgart. Still, Hoeness has already said no to the Bayern job and said that he wants to continue at Stuttgart.
“There are other candidates, though, such as Kieran McKenna at Ipswich Town. He’s done an excellent job, so he’s one of the names, not the only one as there’s not a clear favourite yet. Thomas Frank has also been discussed internally, but it’s an open discussion and Chelsea will take their time.
“I’m not aware yet of fresh contacts with Roberto de Zerbi or Ruben Amorim. We’ve had many rumours about these managers, but let’s see if they will decide to contact them or not. What I can guarantee is that Chelsea’s priority would be to go for a talented young manager to create a kind of Xabi Alonso project – someone who can lead the game with possession football and to understand the vision of the club around talented young players.
“Chelsea’s plan now is to have internal conversations and also to focus on the summer transfer window because they want their manager to be involved. They want a manager who can trust the entire project and to help develop young players and build the project for the present and future.
“The idea for this summer is also to explore the goalkeepers market, and they want a new striker, while they also want one centre-back or maybe two. They also need to clarify the future of players like Trevoh Chalobah and Conor Gallagher, so it will be crucial to clarify with the new manager what they want to do.”

By the way who gave them the instruction to be playing such useless back passes in dangerous situations. They keep doing it and the manager is just watching them What were you expecting at the beginning of the season with newly assembled team coupled with injuries? That's number one and two factors. The other factor is players fitting into the coach pattern of play but it was cristal clear many players doesn't fit into it. Of course, Chelsea build up from the back and in doing so, your defenders and Keeper must be able to control and pass the ball well under pressure. It's akin to Mancity's tactics. So, we can't say the tactics was wrong but the set of players unable to fit in. |

hensben: Remember Pep told Toure to leave and was given a capable replacement by his friends instructed by him, that’s the difference. Pep also changed it for Aguero and now he has Halaand and Alvarez. Conte didn’t want Morata but Lukaku and one other capable striker at that time but Chelsea board gave him a spineless and lover boy morata, they did Conte dirty in that transfer window and the man was really frustrated, his moral dropped after that window. When it comes to winning the league Conte is one of the best but he has being unfortunate with clubs not giving him his demand, it’s opposite for pep. Pep weaken Bayern by bringing Spanish football against German football which backfired, he learnt from there that leagues are different. I tell you, pep will not sign a player like Bousquet in his young age to epl, he now goes for strong, technical and pacy players . I’m not talking from hate for pep, I like pep, the truth is I like player or coach that play technical and tactical football. Halaand is not technical but very tactical player. Back to pep, his achievement is not that rated compare to his football tactics if you observe very well. Ancelotti was using free and loan transfer players who people perceived have past their prime to win ucl for Ac milan, Mou won it with porto and SAF, as much as I don’t like his collabo with English FA and ref to dominate epl he is a great manager too. I see through that bolded. |
