theenchanter: Ghanaians dont flock nigeria n vice versa . poverty is everywhere, expecially this continent, and poverty is just all about spendings.
A nigerian living in a 2br apartment and paying $69 per month as shown on this thread by @nowenuse and @genieluv will still be tagged as living below poverty line while ghanaians and kenyans paying more than that for a one bedroom apartment is said to be living above poverty
And u wonder what the originator of that metric smoked when coming up with that idea. Claiming 89 million Nigerians are poor is the biggest joke ever. It doesn't add up. Where are those 89 million people in Nigeria? |

theenchanter: abeg, leave d kenyans jare. They think having constant electricity in nairobi equates to all-round electrification rate. Only about 5 african countries have 100% electrification rate. south africa is the closest with 84%, ghana at 79%. Kenya at 56% and nigeria at 59%. Its a 2016 stats but very reliable from d world bank. https://data.worldbank.org/indicator/EG.ELC.ACCS.ZS Seychelles, Morocco, Egypt and Tunisia are 100%. While the closest are Algeria at 99%, Cape Verde at 94% and Gabon at 91%. 59% of Nigeria is Kenya and Ghana combined.

NairobiWalker: You're right on Kenya. We love our environment because 70% of our country is arid. We've learned how to conserve our environment. We love planting trees. Even our towns and cities are full of trees. This picture was taken in the middles of Nairobi City. Do you mean Moyale, El wak, Wajir etcetera in the North don't deserve development and electricity? No wonder they're wallowing in darkness. |

NairobiWalker: There is darkness in the North in comparison to other developed countries. 75% of Kenyans are connected, we don't measure connection just by region but by population. Who is talking here anyway? Nigeria is the world's butt of all jokes when it comes to electricity. Sit down and watch me give the Tanzanian idiot a lesson. The whole of Kenyan's north in engulfed in darkness. That shows how underdeveloped Kenya is. |

ChrisKels: Forgiveness is gonna like this;
Sporting CP to return with a new bid after seeing English Championship side, Reading FC turn down their first bid, to bring back their old boy, Tiago Ilori 25 to Portugal I don't need to be happy about a move Tiago because I know with time he will see suitors seeking for his services. Many people said he will flop in Championship even before he started kicking the ball but I argued against that insinuation. Today, we can all see with our two eyes what he has become. Look at the way he defended, held and distributed the ball against Manchester United. Showed how he has improved with time. Have I been vindicated? Time will tell. |

chrisooblog: forgiveness no o it's like you don't know that 75% of the population lives in that area packed like sardines Hahahaha! That means development is not evenly distributed in cities in Kenya and Ghana. Unlike, Nigeria were many cities are competing in development. No wonder dem dey pack demselves like sardines put for one place. |

Kazikazi: Stop forcing the matter, just study the map below.Then answer me, why is Kenya more darker than Tz?
And don't forget 32% of Tanzania's land is under conservation,but yet,Tanzania is more lit than Kenya! Nigeria is even more brighter than Kenya and Ghana that claimed to have 247 electricity. |
