28 games out of a possible 34 we can say safely say he has played in the vast majority of thier games. Is that a bench warmer or a reserve player to you.

For a striker his goal tally has been abysmal only 5 goals in the EPL. Simply bit good enough, however he brings more to the table in hold up play and driving the team forward. Plus a few assists.

Will you call that poorhuh
Actually, he has 8 goals and 5 assists from all competition. I don't think it is bad for an upcoming striker.

Watch him closely ke? is it not the same Tammy I watch? Come on, bro

Cant remember when last he even scored.
He doesn't even deserve our bench

Someone that was promised an automatic place in our World Cup Squad.. chai!
He scored in the last 3 matches he played.

Besides, he had his goal bound shots blocked in recent games.

Forget sentiments Tammy Abraham is good.

That's not true. Simon has scored many free kicks at club side while Nacho has been no doubt a good Free kick taker
How many freekicks did Kelechi Iheanacho score?

Did you see with your two koro koro eyes the many freekicks Simon Moses scored at his club?

Stop all these beer parlor talk pls.

It was Yaradua that chose Jonathan after Obj gave him his name when the name of someone (NOT Duke) was rejected by Yar'adua.

In politics the Candidate choose who he is comfortable with (that is why Jonathan chose Sambo ahead of Lamido and Kwankwaso).

Duke wasn't even in the picture though he lobbied... I have my fact
Show me your fact and let the world see your claims else you are on a bear parlor thing.

Yaradua was hand picked likewise the Vice President as at that time. Fact

Nobody even offered Duke in the first instance despite the intense lobbying himself, Attach, Ibori and Odili did.
Oga, Jonathan was never in the picture for the Vice President. In short, Obasanjo gave him a call to come to Abuja on the day the VP was supposed to be announced and gave him 20 minutes to accept or reject the offer. This was after Donald Duke declined to take the offer. Take it or leave it.

Well, you are in your rights to say what you want to say.

Mind you, I said I declined to go. I'm guessing you skipped that part in order to malign the messenger.

I agree with you that he campaigned grin for presidency. I omitted that in error. However , he was also in the running for the VP seat as well to which to his amazement), he, Odili and Attah were sidelined for Jonathan who didn't even want the seat.

I was only countering the guy who said he never wanted the VP seat. In fact, his annoyance was that both Yaradua and Jonathan never wanted the job, even after Obj picked both of them.
No vex, abeg. grin

I followed the politics of the day then, so I knew he declined to be Vice President under Yaradua.

Where do you guys dig your info from ?

To the best of my knowledge (which was eyewitness at best) , I was a student at Unical at the time. Duke used public funds heavily to cajole students to move with him to Abuja in support of his bid to be Vice President. Students got different sums of money and joined hired buses to Abuja in his campaign. I remember clearly because I declined to go but my roomie went with one of his buses.
Jonathan was the only governor in the South-South as at the time, who didn't campaign for the seat of the VP. It was ironic when he got picked by Obj.

Don't just sit behind your phone and fabricate fake news please.

Politics is a really scary game indeed.
Obasanjo wanted a South South candidate for the 2007 election and that was the main reason Peter Odili and Donald Duke had the intention to run for the President post in 2007, but the Northern carcus persuaded Obasanjo to stick to the early arrangement to return the Presidency to the North after his tenure and the fact that Atiku who left to contest on another political party platform could win the election if pitched against a South South candidate, hence the need to bring someone who can get votes from the North and support of the PDM initially behind Atiku. The obvious candidate was the brother of the person that the formed the PDM Yaradua, and to compensate the South South who were initially in the forefront to run for the President in 2007, the Vice President was seceeded to them.

This thing happened within two days. So, there was no way Donald Duke would have thought the South South will get the Vice President slot before coming to Abuja.

Remember, you were hired with money, it doesn't mean you knew what you were doing. cheesy

Donald Duke never aspired to be Vice President going to Abuja. He rather aspired to contest as the President.

Duke is no different from all six governors of class 1999-2007 from the SouthSouth. They serially loath Jonathan whom they considered a "junior" that beat them to become Vice President ahead of them despite their lobbying.

Duke I know can't win his polling unit with his SDP
Jonathan didn't beat Donald Duke to become Vice President ahead him, rather it was Duke that refused to be the Vice President under is junior Yara dua before it passed to Jonathan.

Jonathan was nobody as at the time Obasanjo single handedly choosed him. He was not as popular as Duke.

My point is Duke never lobbied to be Vice President, he even regetted it after Obasanjo picked him because he lobbied to be the President then.

Ayo Ogunlana played for old Ranchers bees of Kaduna coached by Argentine named Dominiques and later moved to Leventus United.

He was member of Afcon 1990 team in Algeria. He was well known for his free kicks and arguably the best in Nigeria football history.

Letenwam:
Nigeria has yet again been 'disgraced' internationally, following an assignment Harvard University gave to its students in which Nigeria was used as a case study of a failed African country.

The question Harvard University gave its students reads;

Africa is growing. Seven of the the ten fastest growing economies in the world are in Africa, and the continent's largest economies are becoming less dependent on extractive commodities. The continent's rising middle class has demonstrated a taste for consumer goods and technological innovation, and Africa's population-currently more than a billion people- is booming and overwhelmingly young at a time when populations in other regions are shrinking and aging.

Nigeria, sub-saharan Africa's largest economy, epitomizes both the promise and the problems the continent faces in the 21st century. The contry had failed to thrive for its first thirty years as an independent nation, despite having a developmental head start relative to countries like China and India, as well as hundreds of billions of dollars in oil revenue.. Now, after pathbreaking reforms followed by signs of retrenchment, Nigeria's new President faced both vast opportunity and grave challenges. Would the country flourish or founder in this new era? We will analyze key reforms in Nigeria's economy, significant political developments, and the choices facing the country's fast-growing private sector.

Why did Nigeria fail to thrive between 1960 and 1999, particularly relative to China and India?

How would you characterize former President Obasanjo's legacy?

Are you bullish or bearish on the next fifteen years for Nigeria? What would make you change your mind? What opportunities do you see? What are the challenges (and risks)
