TheSuperNerd: Why Monaco Are Yet To Announce Signing Of Moses Simon Despite Postive Talks With Gent
https://owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/image-46.jpg
High flying French Ligue 1 side Monaco are presently locked in talks with Gent of Belgium over a possible deal in the summer for dashing winger Moses Simon according to Belgium publication Voetbalkrants.com.
Monaco have resigned to losing some of their top stars after a stellar season in France and Europe, with the team currently leading the Ligue 1 table and also through to the semi-final of the UEFA Champions League.
The club views Simon as a player who can replaced some of their stars who are expected to leave in the summer, and suggestions are that the deal is almost near completion as both parties are eager for the move to go through.
Presently what is holding the deal is a compromise on what will be the sell on clause due to Gent, if the 23 year old leaves Monaco in a few years time, and the duration which the clause will last.
Reports gathered by Owngoalnigeria.com sources has it that Monaco are willing to pay £12M for his services, plus the promise of first team football which will sway him their way ahead of English Premier League side West Brom who are also interested in his services.
Simon wants to represent Nigeria at next summer World Cup in Russia, if Nigeria qaualifies and will only accept a move to a team that will assure him of their plans for him as regards playing time.

TheSuperNerd: Official : FC Porto Hooks Mikel Till 2021, Buy-Out Clause Now €30m
https://owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/IMG_2800.jpg
Portuguese top division side FC Porto have announced through official channels that Nigerian midfielder Mikel Agu has extended his contract with the team till 2021.
The 23 year old has grown into an influential player for his loan side Vitoria Setubal this season. A form that has now earn him fresh terms with the Portuguese giants.
Shortly after signing the dotted lines, the hard tackling defensive midfielder said he is ready for the challenge of breaking into the first team as early as next season.
He thanked FC Porto for their faith in him despite all that happened in the past few years, apparently referring to the numerous injury battles he had plus a failed loan stint with Club Brugge of Belgium.
Following his contract extension Porto might end up having as many as four Nigerians in their team next season with Musa Yahaya, Chidozie Awaziem and Fidelis Irhene also pushing for a spot in the first team.

komekn: When was the U17 tournament? Consider time lapse you cannot make an application on past glories. How many senior caps has he won, has he been playing in a top European club. Has he played Champions league what are his stats, top goal scorer in league or club, highest number of assists, etc. Bearing in mind your earlier assertion, What Special Talent
If he had come to Arsenal's academy as a young teenager there would be no issues he would now be classed as home grown.
However, he has been in Holland for the past 2/3 years, doing what I do believe he will face work permit issues even on appeal I doubt if he will be granted a permit.
Just my opinion.
p.s. Checked his Stats, he is 20 now and has played 23 games and 1 goal. Has the rules changed regarding special talent? |

terzurum5: Dutch Youngster Donyell Malen Preferred Ahead Of Nigerian Teen Nwakali By Arsenal Manager Wenger
https://owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/3B3C0173-5622-4F89-AC1E-535A613FAA8A-10902-000004C3C420C6EF.jpeg
Manager of Arsenal Arsene Wenger has given highly rated 17 year old Dutch forward Donyell Malen a spot in Arsenal pre season squad, while he is yet to make up his mind on Kelechi Nwakali.
Malen has trained severally with the first team, and the Dutch teen wonder, who was already a regular for Arsenal U-23 at the age of 16 will have his first team bow in pre season.
Wenger rates the forward highly and Malen has not disappointed the manager with his performances for the U-23s. A form which has now earned him a spot in their pre season squad according to Arsenal insider Mark Taylor.
” Malen is definitely going to be a part of the first team pre season activities, as for Nwakali the scouting reports has been impressive but his consistency is not there yet.
” He (Nwakali) tends to blow hot and cold during games. Aside his form which is very encouraging considering his age, the issue of securing a work permit could see him head out on another loan”, Taylor told Owngoalnigeria.com.

And cool.... RB Leipzig will be playing UCL football next season. They are a good option.
And as for the rumors of Bayern and Liverpool.... let's see how it all turns out....
Dominic Solanke.... another "possible" addition to Nigeria's Rising new generation. It will be super competitive if he teams up with us.... Iheanacho (ofcos, I see him also in the AMF role), Osimhen, Tammy, possibly Solanke also and not to forget the possibility of Odey if he continues to progress nicely .... that will be earthshaking competition.... lol
Not to forget the other Nigerian young forwards doing their things as we may never know who just catches fire and start to paint Europe with goals and dazzling performances.... Simy Nwankwo, Sadiq Umar, Taiwo Awoniyi, Fred Friday, etc. etc RB Leipzig is a very ambitious club. It will become another Chelsea in the German league. Simy Nwankwo could be good addition to the team. This boy tall pass Peter Crouch. We need such kind of player. |

He is still the arch-guardian of Experience oooo..... this Aluko matter I no wan really talk shaa..... but I do rate the dude.
Whatever that is making Chief Icon4s, Oga Experience himself, not sound too enthusiastic about Aluko's chances with our team may be surprisingly well founded but I personally feel Aluko will bring further depth and a few added qualities to that role.... he is a fine player and have matured beyond the player who rescued us against South Africa or played in the EPL.
All the same.... We have good and fantastic talents in the role already and Aluko's addition will be to bring further depth.
Let Rohr work..... he sees all these players and I am sure he is aware of Aluko....
one player I wanna see given a chance with time is Kenny Otigba... he may be in turkey but he is still a class act.
Hey Egbon Forgiveness... which club wan sign Solanke sef? I dey hear Liverpool rumors and many other rumors.... tell that dude to hot up fast.... coz Tammy Abraham no dey smile at all
And Osimhen biko.... plss no more injuries... start showing people what you got on this higher level mehn!!!
Of all our young forwards, Osimhen is two-footed..... watch out for him. It's not yet clear but he is certainly leaving Chelsea this season. RP Leipzig is in the forefront to get his service though Liverpool, Bayern Munich and others have joined the race to capture him for next season. That is why this lad should be approached before he turn super star. http://www.talkchelsea.net/transfers/dominic-solanke-has-reportedly-held-talks-with-rb-leipzig-over-move-to-german-club/Thanks moderators for heeding to my humble plea. Breeze don blow foul yanch don show. NFF take ya time ooooooo. How NFF Made Nigeria Lose Dele Alli To England – Ex England International RevealsApril 24, 2017 Nigeria 26AE1058-FE75-46DE-9736-68EC87584589-9922-00000452F70C267F Former Wimbledon FC captain John Fashanu says the Nigeria Football Federation should be blamed over Nigeria’s inability to lure Dele Alli to play for the Super Eagles instead of the Three Lions of England. Dele Alli joined Tottenham Hotspurs two year ago from MK Dons, a team Fashanu has strong links with and the teenager is now proving his worth in his first season at White Hart Lane and now an England international. Fashanu in a chat with owngoalnigeria.com. revealed he could have been playing for Nigeria as he made contact with the teenager during his loan spell at MK Dons but got zero support from the NFF in trying to woo him. “I used my connections at the team to get through to him (Alli) and we spoke at length but he request we meet his dad as he was just 17 then and too young to make such a decision” He told owngoalnigeria. “However when I got through to the NFF as I need travel with them to have talks with his parents, nobody was willing to listen to me as they were back then involved in a power tussle, that was how we lost Alli to England”. Alli was a key player for England at the last European championship took place in France last year. Michael James http://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/882614498?-18946:4882:3 |

Anyway, I watched the Uefa Youth league finals today and noticed one chaley in the Salzburg team that won the league (he had Ghana's flag hanging on his shoulders), considering they are struggling, for all intents and purposes, I do hope they are looking into snatching some foreign borns as well. They could make a play for that Fosu-Mensah guy, he's decent

terzurum5: Ajagun will have to put up such mind blowing displays on a consistent basis to attack the Coaching crew.
Dominic will need to make the move to a competitive level and prove to be prolific consistently. If he does that he might break into the super Eagles earlier than anticipated.
My eyes are now fixed on Fred Friday. He needs to marry consistency too. Well, non of our regulars have been consistent as Ajagun in that Attacking Mildfield role. However, you are right, he needs mind blowing displays. Nevertheless, he going back to his parent club in Greece next season. Dominic wil be going to another club next season. Expect something great from him. |

Nowenuse: Internet and Banking is something that was due. It developed almost synonymously almost all over Africa and other 3rd world nations at the same time. So are we also going credit that achievement to the presidents of all 3rd world nations at the same time? Are we also to thank OBJ or Buhari for bringing 4G network?... Plzzzz.
Allowed continous democracy? Are you for real? Was he supposed to take over power through military? You see the problem with we Africans. Things that are normal to other people, we count them as achievements. We celebrate mediocracy too much.
Abeg, which railway did OBJ develop? From which city to which city? Where were the trains? Not Until GEJ started developing and rebranding Nigerian railway system, everything we had about railway were the old trains and railways the colonial masters left for us.
A country being indebted is not the problem. USA owe large debts, but it is the world super power and still making progress.
Developmental achievements that make a country advance are things like > Greater diversification of the economy > Industrialization and Promotion of locally made goods and services > Development of world class infrastructures > Advanced improvement of the education, transportation and healthcare system e.t.c
Did OBJ do any of these? I am so ashamed of we Nigerians for celebrating mediocracy as achievements. How can we progress with this kind of mindset for God's sake. How would you know all these things without the social media which was introduced and made available at an affordable price by Obasanjo? Ghana, Togo, Benin etc were already using what we now call GSM 5 years before Obasanjo brought it. North Korea never allowed such even till now and even our government then never wanted, to keep us in the dark like North Korea is doing to her citizens. Banking system in Nigeria was nothing to write home about before Obasanjo brought Soludo to reform the banking sector. Nigeria banks wasn't bankable and trustable. We should commend him for those achievement. Do you think Yaradua and Jonathan renovated the railway system? I still remembered when I saw the Chinese fixing the railway tracks at Ibadan during the reign of Obasanjo. Obasanjo laid the foundation Jonathan built on. Buhari is still using Obasanjo railway template. American situation and Nigeria situation is different. No comparison. Obasanjo did well to pay debts or get dept forgiveness. So, banking sector and Telecommunication sector are not part of diversification of the economy? Obasanjo encouraged the development of local weapons and war ships. We know Obasanjo believed in democracy. At least, he tried in some cases. |
