If you ask any BB follower what it takes to win BBA, the most likely answer you will get is 'You must be entertaining.' The problem I have with that response is entertainment is a very broad concept. So issueing such an ambiguous criterion as the requirement to win the show sucks. This is the problem I have always had with africa's elected choice season in, season out. Messed up choices most of the time. Personally, I will specify the criteria I will measure my anointed contestants against. Please find them beneath: 1. Talent: any contestant muct have some form of raw talent. It may not necessarily be a professional exhibition of such but it must be displayed from time to time. Ability to dance, great sense of humour, ability to sing, or rap etc will endear any of the housemates to my heart. Cleo from Zimbabwe stands out from the lot thus far cos of her ability to freestyle. Even the great Ice prince who is a professional rapper confessed that he can not freestyle. He take hin mouth talk am ni. No be say dem say. 2. Intelligence: This is the contestants ability to analyse issues maturely, objectively and in great depth. Ability to figure out the end results of events right from the beginning. I'm not sure any of the housemates have demonstrated this but Nick of BB Amplified and Itai of BB the revolution are past housemates that have impresses me. 3. SWAG: This deals with the housemates dress sense, carriage, charisma etc. Many housemates represent well when measured against this yardstick but O'Neal is kinda exceptional. Weza of the BB Amplified comes to mind 4. Speech capabilities: here, i look out for eloquence, the sound the contestant's voice (must be sweet and soothing), accent, diction etc. Junia of the BB stargame and Emma of BB the revolution (1st runner up) are my darlings. I think Krystal of BB the revolution may also be included on the list. The way they talk never ceased to amuse me all thru the time they lasted in the house. Right now, I'm not sure if anyof the housemates stand out. Don't get me wrong, most of them speak well but none wows me just yet. I might be able to come up with a few names later but ther's none at the mo. 5. Crazinness: Non conventionality, naughtiness, weirdness are my indices here. Zainab of the BB stargame that I nicknamed the QUEEN of CRAZY efortlessly comes to mind. DENZEL is without a doubt the craziest murraforker in the house. Check out his dressing yesterday. He wore a shirt, a jacket with a bow tie and a pair of tight boxers to match! Who does that for Christ's sake? If anyone was opportuned to listen to his discussion with Betty yestaerday around 8pm, you would have almost cracked your ribs with laughter. then later in the evening, he tried to give annabel and one other female housemate a bootyshake while he was dressed in his pair of boxers. A born nudist he is. Men this guy is just crazy. He makes me laugh hard. Now going thru past posts on here and reading thru all the negative (or can I call it hate) comments about this guy just breaks my heart. It only means a lot of folks on here are just unnecessarily rash and judgemental. Quick to pass judgemnets without taking time out to have a feel of what the housemate has to offer. This is wrong. So wrong! IT IS AT THIS JUNCTURE THAT I HEREBY APPEAL TO AFRICA TO SAVE THIS GUY COME SUNDAY. HE MOST DEFINITELY HAS MUCH MORE TO OFFER THAN MOST OF THE HOUSEMATES. 3 DAYS IS A LOT OF TIME AND I BELIEVE WE CAN STILL TURN THE TIDE AROUND, PLEASE AFRICA. PLEASE... 6. Then last and least on the list is looks. Good enough, virtually all the housemates are on the same base regarding this. Most of them are goodlooking and only a few of them will have a clear edge over others when it comes to tv appeal which i strongly believe is a function of how goodlooking a housemate is. |
StateOfMind: Haha..selly that looks like a local ghanian chic.Na me be dis. Apologies for my late entry into the thread. I assumed a new role at my place of work and it's consuming so much of my time. But I'm glad I'm settling in fast. With that said, I would like to start with recommendations on how DSTV can host even a better show: 1. I would like a situation where I would be able to watch any part of a house i deem fit. for instance out of 14 housemates in a house, 6 may be in the jaccuzzi and say 6 others may be in the bedroom chatting away while the rest may be in the living room. I should be able to watch any section of the house independently other than making do with whatever Biggie foists on me. 2. I miss the female big brother and I want her back ASAP. If possible, she should come on board on this edition. Otherwise, the next one. I feel her enunciation is better than the male biggie's. For example, the way the male Biggie pronounces the word transmitter is wrong. He stresses the second syllable meanwhile, its the first syllable that should be stressed. 3. What's with DSTV hosting already known contestants? If that's the path they elect to thread then BBA should be christened BBA celebrity edition. Imagine for example denzel who happens to be a radio and tv presenter back in Uganda repping uganda in BBA? Or Melvin a runner up in Mr Naija contest repping naija? Someone need not be an IK or a Tuface or a Dbanj before he's adjudged to be a celebrity or known. This crap started as far back as BB The revolution and thay have stooopidly kept it up since then. 4.Provocation of any sort should be prevented by Biggie this season and culprits punished severly. I don't want to see worthy contestants get disqualified again because they were incited by some murraforkers. Imagine someone like Keegan winning BB the star game when we had zainab and rocky in the house? These are all I can think of at this time. I may reveal some more as time goes by. |

nacosprof: ur comments look so silly, u ar imprudent fellow, U ar the most confused human out here...Instead of you to counter my arguments intelligently, you responded with insults. What a dumbbbbb foooool you are! Argue with points and not with insults. Dummb assssss! |
naptu2: 1) So you have no basis for saying that the president was wrong because you do not have the intelligence he has. You do not know if he has intelligence about planned attacks in Adamawa, you do not know what has been done to improve the security situation in Kano. On this very thread a Kano resident has stated that Kano is much more peaceful at the moment. Are you more qualified to determine the state of security in Kano than the resident and the president?(1) If we were to wait until we had access to all the intelligence the president had access to before commenting on national issues, then no one would be right in voicing out his opinion on any national issue at all. for example, the presidential pardon GEJ gave to Alams met with widespread condemnation and If I were to toe your line of reasoning, then because we all didn't have access to the info the president had we would all be wrong in condemning the act. This line of reasoning is wrong because it assumes that since only the president had access to classified info on virtually all issues of natuional interest then whatever he does, whatever descision he makes will be right and no one had the right to voice a counter opinion since no one had access to the classified info that he had. We make comments on issues based on facts available to us all and in this case, the series of violence in kano and the scale on which they are commited are by far in excess of that of adamawa. (2) The lie that i said adamawa was peaceful when in fact what I said is Adamawa is 'largely peaceful'. There is a difference between the two. (3) By Adamawa being 'largely peaceful' what I meant was when compared with other troubled nothern states like Kano, Borno and Yobe, Adamawa's case is child's play. |
naptu2: (1)You are talking about quantum of killings in the past, you are not talking about intelligence and threats in the future. I'd like to see the source of your threat assessment. Most of the attacks in Kano have been carried out by militants who drove in from other states, whereas there are militant camps across the border from Adamawa in the mountains of cameroon. So, I'd like to see the source of your threat assessment.(1)The past I am talking about is just a few months ago and not years ago mind you. And talking about intelligence and threats in the future, neither of us has access to that so i could be right and I could be wrong. But let's not argue on abstracts. let us argue based on facts available to us both. and its on this premise that I say that Kano is more critical than adamawa.Simple. (2)What about people who deliberately misquote what others say? Thereby lying against them to their faces? |
naptu2: I'd like to see your source of intelligence with which you came to the conclusion that there's a greater threat in Kano than Adamawa. I can't take your word for it, because you said that Adamawa has been peaceful, whereas there have been attacks there this month. I also want to know if you have better intelligence than the SSS and NIA.I already told you my criteria and they are the scale of killings, The number of lives lost so far and the extent of killings. Remember in February or was it March when they almost held Kano city hostage. also remember the car park bombing. Has their been any killings in Admawa of those magnitudes? Then dont misquote me please. I said adamawa has been 'largely peaceful' i never said it was peaceful. That was why I put it in quote. The quote implies there is a difference between absolute peace as you suggest and relative peace. Or do you need me to explain the implications of using quotes whn writing to you? Please answer cos If you want me to i will. |
Goddex: This man, when where you born? No lives were lost in the sharia crisis? The mass killings and spilling of blood in Kano, Kaduna,Niger and Yobe then did not catch your attention? Even our own Victor Moses parents were murdered in cold blood by these blood suckers . . .So your own Victor Moses' parents that were killed in Kaduna in 2002 died as a result of the SHARIA crises? I have an assignment for you. please go and find out in what crises his parents were killed. when you have your result, please come back |
naptu2: 1) I do not know of any Kigawa State.(1) Commo'n man. I meant Jigawa and you know it. That was a forking typo. (2)Do you also have intelligence to show that more Boko fighters are crossing the border from adamawa than Katsina? Now you are comparing BOKO threats in Katsina with that in Adamawa and I say that their threat is negligible in katsina when compared with Adamawa. But compare BOKO threats in Kano with that in Adamawa. Which is greater? 3)I am not saying Jona should keep waiting forever. I am saying he should have acted years ago. I am saying that he should have sacked the governors in those states he declared SOE. I am saying that going by frequency and scale of BOKO terror activities (judging by quantum of loss of lives and property) Kano is far ahead on the priority list than Adamawa. I am saying that if he felt compelled to declare SOE in Adamawa then he should have declared SOE in Kano also. that's what I'm saying. |

with this ur post, i suggest u get a bigger thinking cap. FORK ADDICT SAYS 'A bigger thinking cap that will fit your big head. Learn how to post and quote on NL properly first before talking to me' |
naptu2: 1) A state of emergency gives you greater powers with which to control movement across the borders.(1) So why wasnt emergency rule declared in Kigawa and Katsina states? Cos BH insurgents are in Niger republic also. (2)'It doesn't make sense to wait for them to strike before you take action' Like Boko hasn't struck at least a thousand times. What the fork has your presido been doing since they started their campaign? HE HAS BEEN WAITING! |
naptu2: Raising the flag implies that the area is captured territory and under the authority of Boko Haram, rather than the federal government (one of the key reasons for the emergency rule is the belief that Boko Haram wants to capture and govern these areas).Your first paragraph is contradictory. the first part suggested that BH has aALREADY captured those states and the second part suggested the belief that BH WANTS TO capture and govern these areas. which do I take? |
naptu2: 1) It's not simply about being a border state, but it's about the movement of terrorists across the border. How did the french family that was captured in Cameroon get into Nigeria? The SSS and NIA have more intelligence than civilians and this intelligence is available to the president.(1) So you suggest that a state of emergency needs to be declared in a 'largely peaceful' state simply because it is a border state and prone to movement of terrorists across the border? Hell no! I suggest, tighter control of our borders. Not imposing an emergency rule. (2) MASSOB (if you know what group that is) raised their flag in somewher in the East sometyime ago. Why wasnt state of emergency declared in the state? |
automophosis: Miss Jonathan has finally respond to the injection of the masses but partially because a State of Emergency with the Governors still discharging their duty is but a caricature of constitutional proclaimnation. Miss GEJ should go to Ota Farm and buy wisdom on how to deal with insurgents. OBJ that I know will gladly give him the knowledge he seek ina time like this. Is Miss GEJ a learner?Wisdom alone isnt sufficient to fight insurgency. One needs guts too. sadly enough, that can not be learnt. You are either brave or not. That's it. |
Ogbeche77: a poster on NL said same before the sabon gari luxurious bus blast some weeks back, its better to be safe, if u have an option, pls come down southLeave the guy abeg. He's deluded. he has the guts to come to Nl to yarn dust simply because he wasnt at the motor park that fateful day |
naptu2: The President made the right decision. Borno, Yobe and Adamawa are border states through which foreign militants enter Nigeria. The Boko Haram flag has been raised in these states and there's suspicion that some of the locals sympathise with Boko Haram. On the surface, a reasonable post I may say. But guy, i beg to differ. Even though Adamawa is a border state, does that justify the imposition of an emergency rule? Also katsina and Jigawa states are border states. Why wasnt emergency rule declared in those states as well? this line of argument is flawed. Imposing a state of emergency in adamawa is ill informed and highly unneccessary. he only needed to tighten up the border thats all. Now to your second point, you implied that the raising of the BH flag was the sole reason why the emergency rule was imposed. hell no! Its the wanton, persistent and consistent destruction of lives and property that is the major reason. raising or no raising of flag is secondary. So if many BH members migrated to a state like Kwara or Enugu and raised their flags, are you suggesting that emergency rule would be imposed in those states? comm'on man. |
anonimi: (1)And what did brave ex-soldier OBJ do when the same north introduced Sharia(1) He did nothing because, despite the fact that some northern states implemented the sharia legal system, no lives were threatened or lost. Not even the christains. And if you followed the sharia episode in detail, the conventional courts were not abolished. So what trash are you talking here? (2)You made no point here but only elected to be unnecessarily abusive. What exactly is your point? At least I gave my reasons for calling your presido a coward and a confused murraforker. what are your reasons for calling us (his critics) same? Empty brained murraforker. (3) What remote connection has this point of yours got with the topic of discussion? i sure say na last you dey carry for school. Dat one na if you go school sef. (4) again confirming my point that you are soooooooooooo dullllllll. You mean you can't put two and two together to figure out why Kano was excluded form the list of states under emergency rule? You actually need a political scientist or a military general's opinion? can't you forking reason? are you that dumbbb? Yes we are talking about terrorsists and they have struck many times and quite extensively in kano in recent times while Adamawa has been largely peaceful dummb head!. I no blame you. How you go know wetin dey happen when you no dey hear news? bagggger! |
billante: As your father isIf i descend on you, I might be banned. You made no point but felt you could come here and insult your father's mate. Your popc no train you well |
Truckpusher: That wasn't cowardice you ACN goon that is high on cheap drugs and alcohol.First of, i don't do drugs and I hardly drink so the possibility of being high from those substances is negligible. If you had enough common sense to suggest that I'm high on pusssssy juice going by my NL alias, I might just have agreed with you. But no, you are sooooooo dumbbb if not dumber than your president. Now to the crux of the forking matter. Common sense to you is neglecting Kano that hasn't known steady peace for a while and forming James bond in Adamawa that has been largely peaceful except for rare outbursts? Ode omo |
achi4u: They see kano as the north central capital which need to be reserves for the main time,SMH the entire north need to be encircled.Sokoto has been largely peaceful. same with Katsina |
Jona dey fear ni. That's the reason. Fear. Kano and sokoto states are perhaps the most relevant of the northern states judging by history. So our cowardly presido has anticipated the uproar of making such a move, so he just jejely chose Adamawa. What a cowardly and Confused murraforker |
jp philips: 1)the political implication is one that he still needs the blessing of northern politicians come 2015 that he will not get if he removes them from office albeit necessary. On 1), I agree with you 100000000000% On 2), I beg to differ. That is the more reason why he should have sacked the useless governors |
Mccullum: Why mr president always lack full boldness to some critical decision for interest of this Nigerian State, this type state of emergency is very strange to me, though it is good but why it did not affected the governors of those states, is president trying to placate them? because the state emergency of US in 1863 when Abraham Lincon was the US president it affected all governors of the Southern States that rebelled against the union, while Obasanjo all did exactly like that during his era. we need bold president & not coward.. may God help our GEJ.God bless you sir. Even tho, I considered OBJ a psycho when he was president, this GEJ clown is making me miss him real bad |
