StateOfMind: @ geez prince, mevlin and beverly both speak igbo, so no, melvin doesn't just nod in agreement.
You are the one quick to term any comment about melvin as hating like you expect everybody to have the same opinion about melvin. The issue came up because some also complain when the others speak vernacular, while our peeps are doing the same thing.

Pages ago, furk came here to complain about feza and nando speaking their language and bev's pidgin too.

As far as big brother is concerned, english language is the only accepted language because these other hms do not understand pidgin no matter how similar we think it is to english. Just try and understand the line of someone's argument before tagging them as melvin haters.

I'm personally not bothered since biggie has refused to strike any group for that, they might as well continue to have their fun in any language.

Btw, dillish is forcing melvin to smell her armpit and his boooobs are all over him. Hohoho
Oh Thank God. Finally, someone who understands English emerges.

Many people who are ignorant of past events just jump on this thread and start talking crap. I have always been against any housemate vernacular of any sort. Be it swahilli, igbo, even pidgin.

This attack came about cos it involved Melvin. The shovel teethed melvin. Little do his assss lickers sorry fanatics on here know that the more they try to impose Melvin on me, the more i will resist.

Let us all be objective and promote him based on facts and what he has to offer and not on sentiments

fashrola: When Feza and Annabel spoke in Swahili did we petitioned BB? When they spoke in a foreign language we all knew they were conspiring which is against the rule of the House...which BB is doing nothing about (who cares), Just tell me if Melvin and Elikem are conspiring against the HMs with their pidgin language.... No!! They r just gisting...is just that SADC and EA HMs are just filled with hatred for the WA HMs (Who's got nothing on them) So as far as BB is ok with the Pidgin conversation why are you ranting on dis Forum? Go ahead to the official website and lay a complaint....
How sure are you that they were conspiring? You cant tell for sure.

The lingua franca in BB house is queens english. let evryone abide by this. That way we dont need to speculate whether any of the housemates are conspiring or not. Life is much simpler that way.

safarigirl: MELVIN'S tongue DS

He thinks Bassey did good by telling Bimp that there were no hard feelings and thinks Bimp did what he had to do last night.

He feels like Bimp is a good HOH, he doesn't blame him for losing last week's task, they lost together.

He's happy about this week's task as it revolves around what most of the housemates do and they're already on it.
Please note that I have already taken out the title.

Very dry DS. Nothing new. Nothing inspiring. So bland.

True.

Fact is they all deserve a strike each. The sequence is irrelevant

safarigirl: Do u know about sponsorships...my sis is into events and production..I help her most times with this things..
Minus d 300k do u know how much they spend on the housemates for 3 months, babylon accommodation and flight tickets. (1)
The sponsors are the ones whose adverts u see everyday.
If u haven't noticed that over 60% of those adverts are Nigerian adverts..including the airtel adverts, lipton, close-up, the yvonne advert, even dat body cream..dunno d name tho. Airtel and lipton might be in S.A but remember their largest market remains Nigeria. (2)
As a sponsor u consider who and who is watching..(3)
The sponsors they have now 4rm S.A are enuf to host a bba Mzansi..but not enuf 4 bba..and trust me..only 1 advert 4rm airtel isn't Nigerian..that's the Zambian mobile advert. (4)
So yes Nigeria is their largest market for both sponsors and biggie. (5)
Even Uhuru/rig is in 9ja
(1) One does not need to have a ph.D in events and productions to know these things. Its common sense.
(2) all those sponsors you mentioned have markets in other parts of africa apart from Naija. are you saying that their naija market share is bigger than those of other countries combined? i have seen an airtel advert that says you can share your BB moments in 18 countries across africa. So are you now saying that naija market alone is bigger than the remaining 17 combined? please dont make me laff @safarigirl.
(3) Agreed.
(4) Possibly.
(5) Individual market, yes. But naija alone can not outweigh the other markets combined.

Belmot: Nairaland is 0.00000001% of Nigeria u hear.
As of today, Nairaland has about 1097520 users. Assume only a third of these are active users. The remaining for inactive posters and duplicated handles. this is a very fair ratio if you ask me.

A third of 1097520 is 365840.

Naija's population is 160000000.

(365840/160000000)X100 = 0.229% of the population are active members of NL.

Now compare 0.22% to your figure of 0.00000001%huhhuh

fashrola: there's a great difference between Pidgin English and Swahili and Zulu...so why would Biggie give dem a strike? Don't bring sentiment into this..Almost 70% of African Countries speak Pidgin English though in a diff way but at least there is an effective communication if you can manoeuvre...So there's no big deal abt it
Are you assuming that all africans understand pidgin english? if so then you are WRONG. Cos a few housemates have already confeessed to not understanding it.

My point is any other language apart from queens english is illegal amd should earn any defaulter a strike. Whether pidgin, yoruba, hausa or swahilli. Melvin and elikem are defaulters, therfore they should get a strike each.

Chrisbenogor: I am trying to take what you said seriously and not laugh grin grin grin but for real how old are you ? like 7? grin grin
I dont think I would win any argument about anything on this show with you, not because you suddenly start posting intellectually mature stuff but because you already come across like you live your life by your tv set watching big brother all day. Since I have small time to indulge you this morning......

You talk about the whole SADC hating
- Do you realize how small the number of people that watch big brother as compared to the African population? To suddenly extrapolate comments on Facebook and twitter from less than 500 unique individuals in total (am being generous here)to mean a whole region is hating on another region is misguided myopic and very wrong. Any neutral observer who applies your methods would think the whole Nigeria is mad at big brother if all they go by are your facebook posts & protests but obviously y'all are less than 50 unique individuals.

You talk about leaving in lala land - Ok this one got me really cracking up grin grin. You decide O'neal's feelings about west africa is enough to constitute hate -because he says he wants west africans to stop feeling like they are untouchable in the game, or because he does not want to hear Nigerian Music......the list is long but they are all flimsy and he has a right to moan if he wants to but you do not realize that.So lets even concede with you that its Hate speech and its bad for Africa you then take your protest to UTI and DERENLE grin grin grin grin grin grin grin and you are living in realityhuh What happened to Yerima?? grin grin (dear lord I hope she catches this joke too).

You talk about Racism and Escalation - As for the racism part lets not go there, but as for escalation I totally agree with you. People like you twisting what is happening and stoking the flames of hate and racism just because of one confused Mans ranting in a show where he has been locked away from humanity for more than 60 days now. In the scale of things Oneal is not worth this stress and certainly not worth my time to be typing about this if not to try and get some sense into you this morning.Oh and by the way did you call this empty shouting "Anointing" huh huh TB Joshua would be mad yo.

I would not even go into the details of the ramifications of endemol getting itself involved in addressing political issues, whats important for you to know is that you are not half as smart as the people organizing this show neither are you more Nigerian or West African than some of them on the board. If they have not addressed it the way you want its for a very good reason which you might not be able to fully grasp......for no fault of yours obviously.

PS: I would not be responding to any reply of this from you, my initial post was not directed at you.
Please send me your ATM PIN. Sorry your account number. I need to credit you with some cool cash.

safarigirl: Producers don't make money 4rm auditions na..u should know that by now..or do u think dey manufacture 300k..if viewers loose interest in the show..esp 4rm 9ja which is their large sponsorship market..trust me ratings will drop and the sponsors will run.
Na wa for you o. where did i mention producers making money from auditions?

Naija alone boycotting the show automatically translates to having no sponsors for the showhuh remember there are 14 other countries involved. They may even enlist cameroun.

Agreed, revenue may dwindle, but to assume the death of the show is a far reaching conclusion without basis

You just said no one intentionally uploads their sex tapes.
When the housemates have sex don't they know there are cameras in the house..is that unintentional too.
If u feel ur sex life should be a public thing then by all means feel free to take the stigma.
Afterall people were insulting pokello 4 a sex tape that leaked.
So why should we be smiling for those that are doing theirs in front of the camera.

safarigirl: Understand me b4 u talk..
I have always said having s*x on bba is equal to uploading ur s*x tape on the net..(1)
Look at what Angelo did with bev the other night..she was touching his d*ck on saturday night.. And he declined telling her he respects her too much..he has what we call self-control (2)
Any guy that does that has my respect anytym of the day..(3)
Bev lost my respect for not being cautious and Angelo got my respect 4 doing the opposite.(4)
If dey wanna have s*x dey should by all means..but not on camera..(5)
If u think there's no p with that uplaod ur s*x tape with ur GF for our viewing pleasure (6) grin
(1) True. Afterall, we download those clips from the net.
(2) But it was the same angelo that fi.ngered her shey? So as far as you are concerned, its okay to be fingered on camera but not okay to fork? So he respected her by fin.gering her and not forking her? My opinion is fin.gering is just as bad as forking.
(3)All a guy needs to do to earn your respect in BB house is to finge.r a girl and not fork her. LOL
(4)Same as 3 above.
(5) Highly subjective. That you have a problem with it does not mean everyone else should have a problem with it. and that you have a problem with it does not in a ny way make you superior to those who do not have a problem with it.
(6) I dont necessarily have to upload mine. people have uploaded theirs and they are available online for any interested party. Wny must it be mine you want to see?

safarigirl: He says West Africans are too loud and arrogant.
They think everything revolves around them and their pepper.(1)
He wants to make sure that all the west africans leave the show.(2)
When biggie asked him about his west african war today he said Africa is helping him seeing as bassey was evicted last night and he didn't have to lift a finger. (3)
He keeps nominating Elikem because he's west African.(4)
Plots with feza against Melvin and bev..e.t.c (5)
Btw why would biggie ask him about this if he isn't in support of it.(6)
If bba wants to divide africa then W/A must pull out (7)
I guess the above are O'neal's various sins. if yes, then i got this to say.
(1). Thats his opinion. The last time i checked, he is entitled to it.
(2) Another opinion that has no basis. Cos africa alone decides who stays and who leaves. Not oneal.
(3) He has a right to beleive this cos africa refused to save the West africans. i dont quite undersatnd the 'I didnt have to lift a finger' bit. Like he had the power to push them out of the house if africa chose to save the west african reps. This in my opinion is just a silly rant.
(4) So? You can nominate a fellow housemate for good reason, bad reason or for no reason at all.
(5) This is where i have issues. many of us have clamoured for Biggie to come down hard on conspiracies. but Biggie chose to condone such. How is that Oneal's problem? biggie should be held responsible here.
(6) IMO, whether consciously or unconsciously, housemates are pushing for the eviction of other countries reps. My only problem is solicitiing the support of other housemates in this quest. Cos i feel , he and his wife to be agree on who to nominate. This puts the other contestants at risk. and even at that, africa watches and africa will save whoever they want to save. So he and his witch can conspire all they want to, Africa will save whoever they want to. So his scheming and all in my humble opinion is a pointless exercise that will end in futility. If his plan works out, then its because Africa endorses it.
(7) You guys should please stop blowing this thing out of proportion. How is the show dividing or uniting africa? how many people even watch the show to start with? Will I not be a fool, if I allow whatever oneal does against west africans influence my relationship with bots citizens? Or will i say because i wanted to fork selly and she chose to fork nando, i will now start beefing Tanzanians? Com'on peeps. Make una stop the drama abeg.

dominique: As much as I support this protest, I don't see much coming out of it. Sad truth of the matter is that, thousands of Nigerians will still audition for the show year after year to take a shot at fame. Are they the ones that will take part in such protest? One principle i hold dear in my life is to always take responsibility for your speech and actions at any forking point in life.

Pokello in her ignorance and pride insulted a whole region and expected to go far in the game? even if she had nothing to gain from that region, it will be sheer folly to call them out on air when you of all people know that votin in BBa is regionally inclined.

On the first night, I heard elikem and Bolt discussing about how they expect to edge out naija in this years edition. Saying its about time they put a stop to naija's dominance in the game. Elikem in particular said and i quote 'No wahala now, we go do am'. And i think he said, 'no be naija, we go do am' altho, I'm not sure of the second quote cos its been a long time. Now he or his folks are relying on the same naija to vote for him? Its okay to expect to win the show, I mean everyone eexpects to win but the moment you start scheming openly to take out a particular rep, then it becomes offensive to that rep's compatriots interested in voting.I wonder why the bunch of the housemates this year are so careless with their utterances.SMH

safarigirl: 1) those listed housemates are the jokes

2) He was called Mighty, for breaking the jinx against guys, not cos the ladies weren't good enough ii) what's wrong with being a feminist? Most of Bev's fans are feminists, hence the hate against Mel

3) Selly? Lemme not laugh, her later actions proved she was far from mighty, I believe she became known as Silly Selly

4) Did Tatiana have 6 people to choose from? Wasn't Tatiana close with ALL the other housemates? Did Tatiana have a certain housemate who she would have been vindicated by if she had put him/her up? Answer these first

5)Hakeem? His body is flawed, his abs are like those of Jim Iyke's, and Angelo isn't as tall as Mel (or as hot really, dude looks like trailer trash)

6) Please I need a picture of your jaws dropped when Melvin is crowne King of The Chase...we await your rant also. Till then, toodles! grin

I know say you be JJC for this thread. But I have defined the qualities I look out for in housemates times without number on this thread and I'm not at liberty to define it again just because of you.
As for the auditioning thing, this only further confirms the fact that you are a learner. Otherwise you would have known that Denrele has subverted and hijacked the BB auditioning. safarigirl: so who else would you prefer?

Mighty Angelo
Mighty O'neil
Mighty Sulu

No, no, I got it
Mighty Denzel, maybe?(1)

Lemme educate you on the history of that title...it was first bestowed upon him in week 3, when he became the first MALE housemate of The Chase to win a HOH title (2)...and has stuck, because even till now, he remains the most successful HOH in BOTH houses having won 3 tasks and an arena game, no other HOH, male or female has had that record(3).

His might can also be attested when he boldly faced Africa by leaving himself up, despite having six others to choose from. It takes a brave man, and a mighty one to do that.(4)

There are also other attributes like his build, which is strong, fit and can be said to be one that signifies MIGHT.(5)

So Oga forkadict, MELVIN's MIGHT, has NOTHING to do with the entertainment you seek, rather it's his PERSONALITY and his being the ULTIMATE ALPHA MALE that makes him mighty.

You of all people should know that MIGHTY NIGERIA, cannot send clowns like Sulu and Denzel to rep us, when we have MEN

And even with his teeth, he's still HOT and remains THE CHASE(6)
(1) Please feel free to bestow the title on any of the housemates you mentionedm.
(2)This would have made sense if he were the first housemate to emerge in the chase. Does this mean that there were no HOH in the first 2 weeks? Or cos they were chics, they were less human and so not worthy of the title? They had to wait until a male HOH emerged before letting go of the title 'Mighty'. Are you now a chauVinist @Safarigirl?
(3) I would have given this argument some credit if he won 3 tasks and 3 arena games.that is less impressive than Sellys record of 2taskS and 2 arena wins out of 2 tenures as HOH. Besides, he was HOH the third time cos Hakim was evicted.
(4)Tatiana first pulled a similar stunt, she wasn't called Mighty. Karen pulled a similar stunt, she wasn't called mighty. Melvin pulled the same stunt and then he deserves to be called mighty. Cos he's a guy? This begs the question again 'are you a chauvinist @Safarigirl?
(5) Oh pleeeeazzze. Hakim and Angelo can go against him toe to toe when it comes to build. This doesn't necessarily mean he has a bad build tho
(6) Possibly. Altho I'll suggest we wait till day 91 before we confirm if truly he is THE CHASE or not. But we can confirm one thing right now tho and that is Melvin is shovel teethed. Each tooth is like a shovel.

Annabel
Oneal
Feza
Bimp
Nando
Dillish
Beverly

Sulu
Angelo
Elikem
This will be a good start...
Right from BB the amplified, I have only preached one gospel and that is AFRICA AINT MATURE ENOUGH FOR A PAN AFRICAN REALITY SHOW AS BBA. Primarily cos, i have assessed the voting pattern and i am convinced that many times, the votin will be along regional lines and not on merit. By merit, I mean voting for the most entertaining housemate at any point in the game. Africans have demonstrated their inability to set aside sentiments and act in the most logical and reasonable manner in most issues bearing on their lives. Africas decisions to save betty and sacrifice Denzel and also save Dellish and Annabel and sacrifice bassey are cases to prove my point.

Denzel's eviction nearly snuffed the life out of my interest in this seasons edition of BB. bassey's eviction was the coup de grace. so right now, i dont give 2 forks whoever wins the money. Oneal or beverly could win it for all i care.

And now to your question of benchmarking Melvin's entertainment worth with those afore listed housemates. As far as I'm concerned, with they are all in the same league. They are all borites. With the exception of Oneal tho who is the undisputed Messenger of Hate.

kgr28: FACT Melvin is boring!!!
Thanks jare.

One thing with me is i dont roll with the crowd. Never have, never will. Its okay for you to like any housemate for whatever reason, its your kettle of fish. But the moment you try to force a particular housemate down my throat like those chics that suck on big deaks, then it becomes a problem with me.

Imagine the tag Mighty Melvin? does it even sound nice? and i know for a fact that even those that call him so, deep in their conscience, they will know that is sarcasm.

Kslib: Go to BBA office and ask them why they called him that!!!!
If you dont know how to talk, use smileys cos they say a thousand words and makes posting easier for your type!!
Then it only means you and the BBA mugus are all a confused bunch.

It is common knowledge that melvin is NOT, HAS NEVER BEEN AND WILL NEVER BE ENTERTAINING.

He is only popular cos of his 'mr Nice' disposition. and cos hes a nigerian.

Melvin is ok. But Mighty melvin is straight up bull sheeeet!
