Bitter frustrated envious fellow, Owerri is a glorified village with little or no good roads and dilapidated old buildings, that’s why most imo indigenes prefer to live in Onitsha and Awka. Ask yourself why there are more imo indigenes living in Onitsha than Owerri. Awka is the fastest developing city in igboland and it has signature infrastructures like flyovers, biggest and best ICC in Nigeria, Owerri doesn’t have such. Awka equally has by far better developed and massive estates than Owerri. There’s no where in imo state that can rival Awka millennium city, even in the next 200yrs. I know exactly how bitter you feel lol

Owerri is mostly filled with old houses from Orji to Akwakwuna to ikenegbu, Obinze, etc, except for tiny new Owerri that’s not up to one estate in Awka. You are right, Awka real estate is unrivalled at least in Igboland

I am not someone you can tell about real estate okay . Owerri at a time had a booming real estate and hospitality that was growing faster than Lagos but it's gone now. The Southeast as a whole is no longer growing fast in real estate as to compare with Abuja, Lagos, Port Harcourt and even Asaba. The reason is insecurity but in the Southeast Enugu and Owerri are outstanding for now.

Owerri has the worst and most dilapidated houses in southeastern Nigeria. Awka has better and well organized infrastructures, planned estates more than Owerri. Awka has the largest booming real estate in SE.
