Coronavirus is not new, COVID-19 is what is new, COVID-19 is a mutation from the family of SARS and MERS. Just the same way bacteria mutates and can become more deadly, so you have to use another antibiotics to treat it.

I have no doubt that biological weapons is a thing but mutation caused COVID-19 and it can be verified under the microscope.
