It's a shame what poverty has done to Nigerians. We have almost lost all our sense of dignity and would do just about anything to escape the centripetal force of poverty. Most times, our flaws as a people are a reflection of failure of government.

The tie braker will be who wins at the gubernatorial election tribunal which favours APC given the multitude evidence against Wike/PDP.

Even if Wike wins a re-ordered election to be governor, he cannot do anything with the elected LG chairmen if the election did not violate any law or the constitution.

The election violated so many laws... PDP made a smart move by not participating. Here in Rivers, they call it APC election.

Even if Wike loses at the tribunal, one thing is for sure; the chairmanship election will be reconducted.

I hate to hear nigerian politicians , pastors, imams, marabouts and others asking Nigerians to pray and fast for our leaders when all they do is to loot the country dry in collusion with the religious leaders. I think Nigerians are now wiser and have come to realise that there in no substitute for honesty, integrity, hardwork and patriotism. Afterall the holy book says work and pray ; not pray and pray as the latter will only bring failures, the hallmark of the outgoing government. In this sense, worldly causes are : initiative, personal responsibility, ownership of your life, securing your assets, belief in higher power and watching out for your neighbor. Forget this your heavens and heaven thing, those who built the tower believed God resides in the sky.
They believed heaven was a physical place they can take a ride to via the tower.

With the advancement is science, modern Christian realised that there is no one in the sky. So they are now taking heaven farther into the Galaxies, some are now claiming it is a spiritual location. They should go tell that to the biblical builders of the Tower of Babel.

What then makes Christianity different from all other religions? I personally do not see any difference except maybe the monopoly of access to God claimed by Christians and the self-righteous stance taking by Christians.

Well, I was born into Christianity. I also took time to wander into some other religions. I'm gradually breaking free from all forms of religion indoctrination. I see partaking in religious activities as a waste of my youthful energy.

I believe there was a God, as to if he is still existing, I am not sure. But if he is still existing, he sure does not interfere in humans activities. Humanity is on its own, if it does not fight to sustain itself, it will one day go into exstintion just like the dinosaurs.

While a prayerful individual is "Longsuffering", if a change comes along the line, it becomes an answered prayer, but if that "longsuffering" eventually kill that individual, it becomes an unanswered prayer and maybe "God knows best"

If you observe closely, you will see that both the prayerfull and the "prayerless" suffer thesame consequences.... None has fared better!

Well, u made some good points. But I think the issue of husband scarcity is partly due to the acceptance of monogamy by modern society. Our fathers married 2, 3 wives. Now it is one man one wife. Who would then marry the "extra" ones?

In almost every society, men are fewer. If every young man out there takes up a wife, there would still be many unmarried girls.

Maybe we should reconsider polygamy.

OP, because there is no one to answer the prayers. The miracles some think are as a result of prayers happen to even non-christian too.

All we experience is "time and chance" that happen to all, when these coincide with prayers, one might wrongly feel it is as a result of prayer.

Alfred Nobel and his explosives come to mind. With his invention, he has killed much more than he can ever save. No wonder he was called "the merchant of death".
