A Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to President,
Reuben Abati, published an abstract from secret
documents in his Twitter, exposing the information
from Wikileaks about Buhari’s 1983-84 governing years.

The information is provided by the Public Library
of United States Diplomacy through Wikileaks. The
exposed classified letter is dated September 20, 2002. It
reads in part:

Like President Obasanjo before the 1999 election,
General Buhari’s political experience is limited to that of
military Head of State. Buhari came to power as a result
of a 1983 New Year’s Eve coup against the
democratically elected Shehu Shagari. The eviction of
Shagari came as a welcome relief as did Buhari’s
promise to root out corruption. That relief, however, was
short-lived as Nigerians watched despairingly as the
Buhari regime’s promises to revive the economy and
wipe out rampant corruption withered during 20 months
of heavy-handed, largely ineffective rule.

In May 1984, Buhari ordered the brutal expulsion of
700,000 illegal immigrants from neighboring African
states, jailed hundreds of political opponents and
muzzled a once aggressive press. His loyalty to the
military also came into question as he dismissed 30,000 soldiers as a cost-cutting measure. Buhari also soured Nigeria’s relations with Britain, when he was accused of masterminding a clumsy and unsuccessful attempt in July 1984 to kidnap President Shagari’s brother-in-law, former Transport Minister Umaru Dikko.

Moreover, Buhari undermined traditional rulers throughout Nigeria, slashing their benefits and questioning their authority.

They did that because of their commanding officers refusal to arm them with better riffle and also a go ahead to shoot at the boko haram. They should at least know that by now, the soldiers aren't meant to be a sacrificial lamb anymore.

Death sentence for 54 soldiers is an extreme verdict and I strongly oppose it. But dont try to make the soldiers appear fautless and innocent.

Do you know what their actions could have caused if things got escalated? Widespread mutiny in the 7th Division would have soldiers deserting their posts in the middle of the Counter insurgency operation. Boko haram will overrun the entire Northeast.

Though, I believe most of the military top brass are corrupt due to the Nigerian factor, but the same men you call brave hearts today will one day become top officers in that same military and they won't be better than their predecessors.

Military laws are different from civilian laws. This is what they signed up for... But 54? Death sentence? In 2014?

(Psalm 19:1-4). Looking at the stars, understanding the vastness of the universe, observing the wonders of nature, seeing the beauty of a sunset—all of these things point to a Creator God. If these were not enough, there is also evidence of God in our own heart.

Can you as a scientist/physicist explain the creation of universe?

I believe in God too. I just wanted to point out to you that mere physical signs aren't enough evidence to indicate the existence of God. If you have this argument with an atheist, he'll most probably have an upper hand.

If this project can be maintained and adequately funded by the government and private sector; in about 10 years to come, Nigeria will become a world giant in the automobile industry and related sectors.

Although, needless to say, they incurred heavy loses in terms of money, time & labour, they, however, tumbled on some startling facts about the "Red Planet", Mars, most of which were kept as classified information.
Later, their outer-space program was mainly geared toward the exploration of the planet Venus, which appeared to be comparatively successful.

They could have stumbled on something very exciting. Little wonder the US is spending billions of dollars on NASA to colonize Mars. Something is certainly fishy.

Hmm. I have never heard about any Russian Mars program. It has always been NASA. I'd still like to know where you got the information about Russia knowing more about Mars from.
