tkObserver:tkObserver, Please explore to the link below, as it is the best place to get answers to your questions. This thread is strictly for Canadian study visa not for visitors/transit/tourist visa. https://www.nairaland.com/2103860/canada-visit-tourist-visa-discussion/187 |
honeyscottage:SOP REVIEW? YES! Send it down. Questions? YES! Ask me on this forum. Thank you. |
tkObserver:tkObserver, Who told you travel history is the main reason for your refusals? All these while, did you care to order for your GCMS NOTES? What visa are you applying for student or visitors/tourist visa that you got refused for 3 times? I must tell you, if you should package your application tightly, travel history has nothing to do with your application refusal. |
bbclue:Bblcue! It's okay now. Please(Biko). |
princeharris:Please go for undergraduate program. Endeavour to submit your ND TRANSCRIPTS while applying for your admission, having ND certification some courses will be waived for you during your undergraduate studies. |
bbclue:Bblcue ! I don't know you with such ACT and I haven't seen you behaved like this before. I see you as a full-blown and understandable person, why throw insults and abusive words?. That wasn't fair enough sister. Last week, a fellow mentioned my name here and referred a post to me, which i neglected it and didn't reply nor throw abusive insults at him, I left the post and continued answering people's queries here, that's sense of maturity. It's not every post you're being mentioned you should reply, at times you pretend as if you didn't see the post. Please and please let there be peace between both of you BBCLUE & JNUYWA02 and we should also endeavor to know why we are here and the purpose of having this great forum. Please!!! Bblcue is okay. My boss jnuywa02 e don do. Shalom! |
ademcoboy:THIS NUMBER 7 HAS TAKEN CARE OF THAT - What you intend to achieve at the end of the program and how it might benefit you in the future. (how your proposed course would increase your career prospects in Nigeria). |
hardeyeanc:Preferably the BOLD. |
batman1234:Minimum of 30-40days. |
honeyscottage:You can go ahead and send it to me. But there will be a delay in getting response from me as there are many SOP's I'm yet to review from prospective applicants. If you're not in a hurry you can send it down, while you get a response from me by next week. Before sending it to me, make sure your SOP reflect the following and should be addressed in each paragraphs to avoid repetition. 1-) Describe your academic background briefly. 2-) Why you choose Canada not Nigeria. 3-) The school. 4-) The program of choice. 5-)How you intend to finance your studies in Canada without working. 6-) Your home ties. 7-) What you intend to achieve at the end of the program and how it might benefit you in the future. (how your proposed course would increase your career prospects in Nigeria). |
teebabee34:teebabee34, Canadian institutions don't accept HND for masters, you can fix yourself for a PGD program only if your Grade point is good. |
honeyscottage:honeyscottage, Sir/Ma, Your GCMS is pointing at your Letter of intent(SOP), I can't see home ties here nor insufficient funds. So therefore, work more on constructing a convincing SOP. It's clearly stated on the note that the information you provided is insufficient enough. I can also see that your intended program is reasonable in control with your previous/job role, so you don't have problem with academic progression. Provide a rational explanation to how your proposed course would increase your career prospects in Nigeria, why Canada not Nigeria and you will be fine. All the best! |
shaddy1k:Please give honour to whom honour is due. I was not the one that responded to your last query. WEIRDPC did. Quoting his post and thanking me wasn't right. Good to hear you will be putting everything you have been told here into consideration. Best of luck! |
Thebushboy1:Please go ahead this is the best place to address your letters as all correspondence are treated in Ghana. Many SOP's i review I change the address to this one. So you're perfectly correct! |
justwise:. Well said! |
jnyuwa02:Jnyuwa02, I laugh at the BOLD'S. Anyway! That's by way. Wao congratulations on your new achievement brother(Medical call) after 5 months, I am happy for you and at same time not happy because your presence is needed here and you will be leaving the works here for us to battle with and answer all the queries/questions.We will surely miss a legend like you. I wish you the very best jnyuwa02, you have been a good friend. I hope to testify soonest! All the best jnyuwa02.(The man with too much grammar) ![]() It will surely end in praises. Amen! |
Gascoigne:Gascoigne It's not compulsory, but necessary. It a way to clarify all doubts of the visa officer that funds is available for the applicant for their first year of studies, mostly when applicant is using a third party sponsor. But if you're using a family member as a sponspor (Parents, siblings), then you only need to pay for your full tuition. The Visa officer believes that no parent will allow it's child to travel to Canada without providing their living expenses. So in your case, ask your parents to pay your full tuition and everything will be equal. |
shaddy1k:shaddy1k, Good to hear from you again. CAIPS/GCMS NOTE - Is a note that is written by a Visa officer that handled your previous app and on the note you will find the factual reason why your application was refused. So it's good you order for your file. In respect to the cost you can order for it here in Nigeria at the rate of 23$ equivalent #8400. If you have someone in Canada that is legally residing over there,(Permanent residence, citizen, student, etc..) the person can order for the note on your behalf at the rate of $5 using this link https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do?lang=en Since you're a sponsored applicant, there is no cut off bank figure/balance that should be in your account. The Visa officer understands fully that you're not sponsoring yourself, so therefore the financial burden will be on your sponsor to certify them that funds will be made available to you. I have seen applicants without property/assests but were approved of their visas, you only need to establish a strong ties to your country by showing more interest in coming back after your studies, your future goals and prospects in Nigeria matters alot, you Aged parents is a home tie, your siblings the same. So endeavour to add your siblings birth certificates to your next application. Since you dont have any property in your name, You can't claim what you don't have, so go ahead and provide a rational explanations and you will be fine. Finally, do you intend saying you got the money from your place of work i.e your SAVINGS? Please if this information is not sufficient enough, feel free to ask questions. Thank you! |
gbemiigbal:Sir! Please feel free to ask your questions here Okay and it will be responded ASAP. Thanks for your understanding. |
big2undey:Answer 1: Online route : you submit your application using your system, scanner and credit card. Paper route : You submit directly to the VFS office. Location : Canada Visa Application Centre, Lagos Manor Hall, Plot 110, Admiral Ayinla Way, Opposite Treasure Garden Estate, Third Roundabout, Lekki Phase I – Lagos Answer 2: Your letter of explanation should be typed. All the best! |
Hello Forum! I'm sorry to say this today, I no longer accept Pm's. Please if you know you PMed me and did not get a response from me, don't be offended. I did this for the sake of this great forum, If you continue asking me questions outside this forum and I am giving answers to them, I am not doing good to the forum. What will be the fate of intending applicants and people of the same situation like you, how would they learn from it. Please and please kindly ask your questions here so that the gurus can input their suggestions or better still quote my post I'll respond to your questions accordingly. I'm sorry for any inconveniences this might cause. It will end in praises. Thank you! |
shaddy1k Sorry for the outcome of your application. Please order for your GCMS Note prior reapplying for your visa. Meanwhile use the below link which points clearly at your refusal grounds to prepare your application before the arrival of your GCMS/CAIPS file. https://www.nairaland.com/3948393/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/391#63425662 I can see you intend submitting your uncle 3 months bank statements, please don't ever try such. As what is required by the Canadian embassy is 6 months bank statement, so have that at the back of your mind. Since you said you only have funds for your tuition and you don't have funds for your living expenses. Yes! Go ahead and pay your full tuition, let your sponsor write a convincing Letter of support that he has gone ahead to complete your full tuition and your living expenses of 10kCAD is readily available in his account and will be given to you once your TRV is approved. Also note that it's not as easy as you think in Canada, travelling all the way from Nigeria to Canada without living expenses is really messed up. And there are no guarantees that you will get a part-time jobs to cater for yourself once you arrive Canada. Securing a job in Canada is not a child's play. So please try as much as possible to get funds available for your living expenses before you travel to Canada, so you don't pass through hell while in canny. All the best! |
MizempreZ:MizempreZ To show proof of relationship with your uncle: Get your mom marriage certificate and your uncle birth certificates, international passport bio data page. Prove of financial commitment : Let your uncle pay your full tuition and transfer living expenses to your account. This is what you need for now. |
sleekysoft:Sleekysoft, Thank you boss! |
adexyz91:adexyz91, The BOLD is the problem with your previous application, most especially the second. Try as much as possible to get a 2 years program that is reasonable to your previous and intended program/job role it will go a long way in tackling the concerns of the visa officer. Also, try and establish strong ties to your country, you mustn't have assest before your application will be approved. Add the birth certificates of your siblings and also show more interest of coming back after your studies. |
Josh1996:Josh1996, Don't misinterpret it okay. On this forum, I have seen several 1 year program applicants getting their visa. But ever since this year, the Visa officers have this mindset that most applicants applying with a 1 year program is using study permit as a means to facilitate entry into Canada. So therefore, for such application to scale through you need to provide a rational explanation to why you are going for a year program in Canada, that's where length of stay in Canada comes into questioning. Thus, to jump all this hurdles of providing a convincing SOP, it's better you get a 2 years program preferably. Hope is understood..... |
gbemiigbal:gbemiigbal, You have to be excerise patience okay, most of these supervisors don't like applicant bombarding them with mails upon mails. Great! You have gotten acceptance from Uwinnipeg, and there is a career progression. Please don't do the mistake of letting the visa officer know that you're using this PGD as a pathway to your masters in Canada. They will tag you as not a genuine student that will over stay his visa in Canada. Was your CGPA up to the minimum requirement for Canadian universities? (2.1). If your CGPA is okay, please i advise you stick for a Masters program than a PGD. |
justwise:They don't, because there are multitudes of applications to review. Perhaps, I have used a case scenario where an applicant lied abt their previous sponspor (using Maternal, paternal, Nephew etc... as sponsor) and on the new application the applicant decides to change sponspor to someone else with different name and got approved. Well, I'll still make more research regarding this. |
Josh1996:Implications in what way Sir? I don't understand. If you should package your application tightly, I don't see any problem. |
bbclue:That's what I am saying. They don't compare the previous documents to the new application. So the applicant in question is free to edit his CV's and letters there is no harm in that. |
justwise:Boss Justwise! They will have records/documents of the previous application, but they don't cross check it to compare with the documents of the new application. A new application is treated based on the evidence provided. |
gbemiigbal Chances are slim but not impossible. Are you going for MSc or PGD. If PGD it takes by the grace of God. Provide a rational explanation to why you are going for a year program in Canada. Is there any academic progression for your intended program. Explain this to the Visa officer on your SOP. |
