annaliese88:annaliese88, If this fixed deposit is accesible to you towards the time of your studies in Canada/visa approval, you can use it as your proof of funds and submit all necessary documentation to support it. But if reverse is the case, i.e funds on your FD can't be accessible to you towards the period of your studies in Canada, try as much as possible to transfer them into your personal account. |
10shuare:10shuare, Did you order for your GCMS Notes? Since your sponsor is no way related to you. Third Party sponsorship must show commitment towards financing your studies in Canada by paying full tuition and transferring funds into your personal/dorm account for your living expenses, this way your sponsor has proved to be a credible one before a visa officer and must certify the visa officer that funds will also be made available for the subsequent year of study. Third party sponsorship, must prove that aside sponsporing you, all financial obligations will be meet, i.e by writing convincingly that sponsporing your studies in Canada won't be a burden to their business, family and personal welfare. Sponsor should write convinincly why he/she is spending so much on you to further your education abroad, having that similar programs are offered here in Nigeria and at a cheaper rate in favour of your sponsor. What they stand to gain from this sponsorship. All this clauses must be seen on your sponsor letter of sponsorship. With this you have tackled insufficient funds. All the best! |
AyoPrudence:AyoPrudence, To the bolded YES! Are you running from the cost of ordering your transcripts from your school? Please do yourself good by ordering it. |
GlitteringStar:AMEN! Thank you very much for your wishes. I appreciate alot sister! |
AyoPrudence:AyoPrudence, Sir! Strike has been called off. To be on the safer side submit the photocopies of transcripts from your school. Make sure they are dully stamped and signed by the university. |
GlitteringStar:GlitteringStar, Big Madam! Congratulations! |
chigrad:chigrad, Changing a program inorder to address the concerns of a visa officer and meet the legislative requirement for a study permit is not a crime and does not in any way sound desperation as you think. If this is your fear and you feel this route will be easier for you to address the concerns of your previous refused application, Please go ahead and change your program, as it won't affect your visa application. Career progression mustn't be when you further studies related to your first degree, if you have been following a career progression since you left university this is not a problem. As I said earlier, people have deviated/changed their academic/career pursuit and still got approved because of the way they presented their case to the visa officer. You need to certify that visa officer that you're a bona-fide student and you're applying in good faith, let them know the value/experience you have gained during your 3 years business adventure and why you are furthering your education higher level in business. This is more understandable. Personal circumstances from my own perspective, simply means applicant personal reasons for undertaking such program in Canada. Below are home ties , so if you have any of the following listed, endeavor to show evidence to them and make sure you add it to your application. 1-) Do you have a spouse and kids(minors) and are you leaving them behind? 2-) Do you have elderly parents who depend on you? (Explain why you will coming back to them) 3-) Do you own businesses/property/investment that you need to continue managing? (Provide proof) 4-) Do you have adequate funds? (Show proof) 5-) Do you have family members whom are not accompanying you to Canada? (Add their birth certificates) All the best! |
sogima:sogima, Below is the link. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/account.html |
Nolongthang:Nolongthang, Don't always be in a hurry to submit your application. Make sure you have crossed all T's and dot all i's before submitting your application. So you can see that after rushing to submit your application, you were still denied, so in this case it makes no sense, the time, the stress, the money etc... was a waste!! Well, the deed has been done. For applicants in the same situation like this, please learn from this, don't always be in a haste to submit your application, if you haven't addressed the concerns of the visa officer on your previous denied application So, on your next application try as much as possible to address the concerns of the visa officer on a different letter and list out things you have added on your new application, that weren't on the previous one. Finally, Since you're heading for a 2 years program, get a sponsor to support your application, even though they never ticked Insufficient funds this time. You won't know what they might tick on your next application. So, endeavor to get a sponsor. Provide a good letter of intent that explains your intention to study. All the best! |
sogima:sogima, Online applicants can check/track the progress of their applications using their CIC account. |
Moley22:Moley22, I wonder why they didn't instruct him to get an updated statement. He should pray that the Visa officer that will be in charge of this application will be excessively drunk that very day, so as not to see this ERROR!!! All the same, we hope for a positive outcome on his application. |
bosaniger:bosaniger, Sir! This shouldn't be your worries for now. They can't deny your daughter visa because she is going for a co op program that requires work terms and academic terms. So many applicants has successfully secured their TRV with such program. So this should be the lest of your problem Sir. Your daughter only needs to proof that she is a bona-fide student that will return after the completion of her studies in Canada, the benefit of undertaking such program in Canada (SOP) and she will get her TRV approved. |
Nolongthang:Nolongthang, Use the below link to order for your GCMS Note. It goes for $5, but you will need a Permanent Residence of Canada, a citizenship , a Visitor, or a student who is legally residing in Canada to help order for this note. As it will require inputing their address on the form, filling the form and resending it back to them to order the note on your behalf. Or better still, ask for the person's address over there in Canada, download the form and complete payment here in Nigeria. https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do?lang=en All the best! |
Nolongthang:Nolongthang, Sorry for the outcome of your application. To the bolded, it's very necessary you order for your GCMS note as this will help give further clarification on what really went wrong on your application. Is not all about paying tuition fees. What pushed you to use a bank statement of 1M? What is the duration of your studies? Is your program reasonable with your previous education/job role.? It seems like you didn't show concerns to the visa officer on your previous refused application. ORDER FOR YOUR GCMS NOTES!!! |
faroouqq:faroouqq, 1-) Have you submitted your application? If No? Let you and your sponsor state that he deposited the said amount of money into a dormicarly account in your name. Also it's important your sponsor be the one to address the number of dependants he has not you. 2-) it's not compulsory to submit transcript with your application, but it is very necessary as it is among the requirements from Lagos visa office. You can submit the soft copy in your possession, as you are not required to submit your original transcripts/documents. But make sure it's signed or stamped by the university. 3-) Go to NPC office and get a new birth certificates for your sponsor it goes for N1,000 4-) Why can't your school email you the coloured (original) copy at once. As what is required by the Canadian embassy is Originals of letter of acceptance. Most schools in Canada have deviated from sending LOA by courier to electronic method(By email). So ask them to send this through email, as is one of the requirements from your local embassy. 5-) You can pick some points from the SOP you used during your admission process. Your letter of intent for visa application should reflect the following and should be addressed in each paragraphs to avoid repetition. 1-) Describe your academic background briefly. 2-) The program of choice. 3-) The school. 4-) Why Canada not Nigeria. 5-)How you intend to finance your studies in Canada without working. 6-) Your Home ties 7-) What you intend to achieve at the end of the program and how it might benefit you in the future. I hope you find this information helpful. If you need further clarification, don't hesitate to ask questions. All the best! |
sthillz:sthillz, Let your cousin change his course to a program that is reasonable inlight with his previous studies in biochemistry. Since he graduated with 2.2 get him admission into university that offers PGD in biochemistry. All the best! |
omisyk:omisyk, To make all things equal, get the bolded words done and submit it along with your application. |
reginabenson:Congrats reginabenson!!! |
chigrad:chigrad, Option 1: BSc (Chemistry)____work experience (Business)_____ Intended program PGD (Chemistry) If you decide to take this route you need to provide a rational explanation to why you haven't been following a career progression ever since you left university. You studied chemistry in your first degree and have been into business for 3 years and now decide to go back to your previous studies in chemistry after spending 3 years in Business. Your reasons must be strong and convincing enough Sir! Option 2: BSc (Chemistry)____work expertise (Business)____ intended program PGD(Business Admin) I advise you stick to this since you already have relevant experience in Business and also you have been following a 3 years career progression in Business, it's best you continue with this. You can find a convincing story to put up to why you deviated from your academic pursuit(chemistry) to business. What motivated you into business?, what you will tend to achieve after completion of this program, a brief description of your experience while in Business for the past 3 years. Finally, the both options listed will scale through only with a good letter of explanation. All the best! |
bbclue:bbclue, Ma, the attachment you sent to me is referring to the study permit form IMM1294E and not the study questionnaire IMM5832E. You may fill yours with system, but I vividly know that study permit questionnaire are filled with pen(hand). |
drdamy:drdamy, A bank statement is valid for 3-4weeks towards the time of visa application. So, printing a bank statement that ended in December ( 3 months ago) and submitting your application in March makes no sense Sir! |
bbclue:Lol , Madam Bbclue! Study permit questionnaire is meant to be filled with pen. Even at the VFS office you will be instructed to fill them by hand and not electronically(online). It might be fillable online, but pen is the ideal method here. |
Ivan12:Let's hope for a positive outcome. All the best! |
Ivan12:Ivan12, Sir, did you complete an upfront medicals? If yes your application is still in process and this is far from a sign of approval. If you were called to complete medicals by CIC, then your approval is close. All the best! |
AyoPrudence:AyoPrudence, This is for paper route. |
AKUPSME:AKUPSME, You are not allowed to fill this form with a system. Simply print out the last 2 pages (18-19) of the IMM5832E form which is the study questionnaire and fill them with a pen. All the best! |
justwise:Mr. Justwise , Frankrobbn1 Noted!!! But he wasn't the first to say this, why calling him to order for execution?. This has been mentioned by some folks here and you didn't show up. This is a partial judgement from you Sir! Well said and Noted by Frankrobbn1 |
Asapant:Amen! Your sins are forgiven by the gurus in the house. Go and sin no more. Shalom! |
Barryston:Barryston, Amen! to your prayers! Transferring tuition and living expenses from sponsor account to that of the applicant can take place at any time, whether when an applicant has newly secured admission or towards the visa application. The most important aspects of all, is that you both must explain the source of funds and provide proof to it, i.e by submitting both Bank statements to evident that such amount of money really came out from your sponsors account and not from an unknown source. Possibly add the transfer receipts to your application and quote the date. |
Bravo02:Bravo02, An applicant has been following a 3 years career progression that is reasonable inlight with their intending program and now wishes to study a masters degree in Canada to enhance career prospects in Nigeria. Please what made it an Automatic Refusal Sir? Asapant:Asapant, Please don't laugh at someone's predicament, we are here to give answers, suggestions and proffer solutions to prospective applicants not to make mockery of their situation. Moreover the applicant has been following a career progression in his intending program. So I don't understand why you should say it's a red flag, or were you the one that planted the red flag on his application? Please lets try to make things easy for people here. If you don't have answers to individual query, jump to the ones you have reasonable input on Thank you! |
