Good day house, I have a question.
Is it possible for someone to convert temporary work visa to study permit in Canada?
It's very possible to switch from being a work permit holder to study permit within Canada. To achieve this, you've to be accepted into a designated learning institution in Canada, provide proof of unencumbered funds to support your application, provide a detailed letter of explanation stating why a study permit should be issued to you to undergone your intended program in Canada as well as the benefits that go along with the program after studies.

Getting into the aforementioned colleges is considerably high. However, securing study visa with them is very slim.

Hello house, pls I need your advise. I want to apply for study permit and I want to travel with my 3 children while my hubby will be here in Nigeria. Do I send my children's passport along with mine when applying for my study permit. In other words, at what time should my children's passport be sent to the embassy for visas to enable them travel with me.
Do not make the mistake of applying for study permit alongside with your three (3) children. There are lots of concerns that will be raised by the visa officer when assessing your eligibility for visa issuance. It doesn't make sense going with them at this time, how do you intend to cope with the three kids considering the rigorous system of education in Canada. My best suggestion for you is to apply alone, whilst the kids and your husband stay behind in Nigeria. After the successful outcome of your study permit application, you can file for your husband through the SOWP and visitor's visa for the kids.

Hi All,
I'm new here and I must say good job you are all doing on this thread. The contributions are a massive eye opener for me.

Please , I would like advice, MBA or GDBA , which one would guarantee me admissions? I have 14 years experience and have held managerial roles for upwards of 7 years. Would have preferred GDBA cos of cost and the fact that you get to stay in Canada longer but I don't know if the admissions office would think I'm too old and experienced for that and that I may not want to come back to Nigeria. I don't want them to reject my admission based in that.

@Frankrobbn1 and @Olasubomy, pls help a sister. Thank you.
In view of your vast experience in management role, an MBA program should be the first choice on your list. The program demonstrates career advancement for your profile.

HELLO AM I ELIGIBLE FOR NSE IF I APPLY OUTSIDE NIGERIA
NSE program was structured for applicants who are Nigerian citizens and resident in Nigeria. Needless to say that even though you provide a Mybank statement and IELTS Certificate with your application, the responsible visa office will not examine your application under the NSE program. You qualify for the NSE program merely on the basis you're applying from Nigeria and have the required documents.

Good day everyone please I'm New here.
I'm a mom of 3 with a HND degree and would love to relocate to Canada.
I don't know which route to take.
Can I go through student visa?
Please help. I'm confused.
I'll be 30 next year
If God lays it in your heart, please link me to someone I can talk to.
Thanks.
I will recommend the study route which is the only thriving immigration route until September 07 when the travel restrictions will be lifted for all travellers. A post graduate diploma program in a related field based on your current employment is the best fit for your profile.

Hello guys,

Please does anyone have any idea whatsoever about Canadian pregnancy visa
@justmellow @lekkiboboe @frankrobbn @anon123

Thank you so much in anticipation
There is NO Canadian immigration program category named "Pregnancy Visa". Should you want to give birth in Canada, you've to utilise the visitor's visa route. At the moment, this type of visa category is regarded as "non-essential travellers" and applications of this kind are not being prioritized by IRCC until the travel restrictions have been lifted. The best practicable way to relocate to Canada is via the study permit route.

I hope this information answers your questions.

Landing Gist

Hello All, It would be a disservice if I did not update the thread on my landing gist so here it is:

Some Background Information
On June 4th, 2021, my original travel date, I was prevented from boarding at the airport due to the Border Official, who the counter officials sent my documents via WhatsApp, declaring that June was too early a date for travel despite my Enrollment Letter showing September 2021 (this was before it being known that the new mandate was for students to arrive within Four (4) weeks of your start date). This was extremely disappointing as I had already made the GAA Hotel Booking along with the Covid Test I had done the previous day.
To circumvent this, I enrolled for my Thesis which I had planned to do when I settle in after arrival in Canada (I had already completed a full year of coursework while in Nigeria). Thesis Registration took about three weeks to process (as most of the professors were in the field for research work) and by the time it was ready, Canada had announced the exemption from Quarantine for those who are fully vaccinated (which I was). I rescheduled my flight and hotel booking for July 7th and 8th and waited till the travel date.

Trip
I arrived at the airport quite early and was asked for my Enrollment Letter (now showing July 5th as the start date), Covid Test Result, ArriveCAN receipt, and my Vaccination Card showing my full vaccination status at the counter. It took an hour for the Border Official to respond to their WhatsApp message and give clearance for me to travel. My flight was an Ethiopian Airlines flight that departed Lagos at 1:40 PM. I was really impressed with the food served on the plane and the access to movies, music and TV shows available on the console in front of me. The book I intended to read was left unread as I switched between watching movies and listening to some newly discovered music.

We landed in Addis Ababa at night (beautiful airport) and I was only asked for my Covid Test Result and hotel booking (if I had). We stayed about two hours or so there before changing aircraft and heading to Dublin for a one-hour refuelling stop. We were given two forms to fill on the plane - a declaration card and one containing contact information to be filled.

We landed in Toronto by 7:30 AM on July 8th and we were separated by vaccination status at immigration (Fully Vaccinated, Half Vaccination and No Vaccination). I was directed to a computer system where I filled another declaration form and was given a printout. The next stop was the border officials who requested for the printout, my Passport, ArriveCAN Receipt and Covid Test results. Upon going through them, he declared me fully exempt from hotel quarantine, the 11 days quarantine and Day 8 testing and placed a green sticker stamp on my passport. The next queue I was directed to was the one for issuing our Study Permits. We stayed on that for over an hour as there were lots of people who had landed that same morning so lots of people to process. Finally, I got to the top of the line and was asked by the Border Official for my Passport, Admission Letter and Tuition Receipt, he asked if I had started classes online which I answered yes to, he asked me to log in to my school account to verify that I had completed classes and to corroborate my answer. When he was satisfied, he issued my study permit and informed me about the 20 hours limit for working. I did the arrival covid test and wasn't given the home test kit for Day 8 testing due to my exemption status.

I stayed at the airport for a bit while waiting for my hotel's shuttle bus. On getting to the hotel, I informed them about my exemption status and I filled a form for refund purposes (I had booked the more expensive GAA Rate a month ago when I had originally intended to travel) while they confirm my status with Public Health Canada. I really enjoyed the food at the hotel and the room was really lovely. I had seen some terrible reviews of Crowne Plaza just before my trip but I had no issues while there for 3 days. I am currently at a friend's place while waiting for my flight to Winnipeg in Manitoba on Friday (my school is Brandon University).

Canada so far has been lovely and quite interesting to observe (the sun doesn't set in Toronto until close to 10 PM and by 5 AM it's up again). I wish everyone awaiting their PPR the best of luck and the assurance that God will perfect what He has started. I pray God blesses the Gurus (Frank and Lekibobo just to name a few) and everyone who contributes their quota in providing help and information on this great thread. Have a great day all and may the rain of PPR continue. Amen!
Congratulations @TheShaman, thank you for taking the time to share this invaluable information and travel experience with other group members of this thread. I wish you the very best in Canada.

Good evening my people. My nephew got a rejection letter this evening as attached.

Gurus in the house, plz how can you help with suggestions and advise so that he can reapply.

I am the one handling his application.

He is in his 2nd year in the university here but I want him to study in Canada. I am the sponsor.

Gurus, I need your inputs.
I regret to hear that your nephew's visa application was delayed by the Canadian immigration authorities due to the reasons outlined in the refusal letter.

Having reviewed the refusal reasons, the visa officer has expressed grave concerns about the applicant's family ties in Nigeria which appears to be weak and not clearly substantiated. His purpose of visit which is in connection with academic progression, course correlation and reasonableness of the course was not rational to the immigration officer. Sadly, you (distant relative) being his sponsor for a 4-year undergraduate program is a complete red flag and have also contributed to his visa refusal. This is because the immigration authorities are aware that you can't spend millions for a distant relative when you've your responsibilities (spouse and kids) to cater for.

My advice for this case;
1. Your nephew should complete his program in Nigeria since he is already in his 200-level. After his studies, he should go for a Master's program in Canada that is in tandem with his undergraduate degree.

2. The biological parents should be his sponsor and not a distant family member.

3. Provide a well-thought argument and explanation letter that will elucidate in detail why he must come back after studies and the benefits of the proposed course of study in his home country.

Order directly from ATIP, it faster. You can do so via this medium - AUTHORIZED LINK TO ORDER FOR YOUR GCMS NOTES. Also be aware that you will require the assistance of someone resident in Canada to help order the file on your behalf.

Coming in contact with @Frankrobbn1 is one of the best thing that has happened to me. Word alone can not express my sincere gratitude to the incredible support and top-notch immigration services he rendered to me throughout the process. I have had the opportunity to work with few other consultants on my immigration case and I can say with every sense of responsibility that @Frankrobbn1 is unarguably one of the best persons I have ever worked with. I respect his personality and how professional he is in making my dream of relocating to Canada a success.

My first conversation with Mr Frank was after I had been denied for five (5) times and after speaking with him on the phone for over an hour, i was more than convinced that he is the right person to handle my case, so I decided to give it a shot again without minding the cost implications. I am incredibly impressed with the way and manner @Frankrobbn1 handled my case. Believe it or not, Mr. Frank is very knowledgeable in dealing with refused applications and he pays detailed attention to people's issues.

If you are out there looking for a professional to assist you in all your immigration case, @frankrobbn1 of fandrglobal.com is your last bus stop and I strongly recommend him because he will make your Canada dream come through as he did for me.

God's delay isn't His Denial. When something is taking longer than you expected, trust and believe that God is preparing you for something great. Thank you everyone for making this platform a source of Happiness and devoting the time to help others succeed. You guys are good. I wish you all the best of luck and a successful application.

Is it true that people going for undergraduate degree are less likely to get refused visa and are faster to process
This is not true as there is no such information on IRCC website. Going for an undergraduate degree when your biological parents are your sponsors (between the age of 17-22 years), your chances of getting approval is high. However, if your sponsor is a third party (uncle) and you're above the stated age, it will be extremely difficult to scale through. More importantly, the visa processing times for undergraduate degree and Master's/PGD applicants are same. There are no preferential treatment for international students unless you're a PhD student.

I will be glad if you reply to this
It's possible to secure a Master of Art program with a CGPA of 2.75. However, your personal statement must be top-notch and should demonstrate why you're deserving student for the program and the benefits of the program to your career and home country. At same time, you still qualify for a PGD program that is relevant with your current employment.

Please I would like to apply for PGD In any of the colleges because I came out with a third class in my first degree ( MATHEMATICS) and I have had one or two working experience, I was doing my own business before covid-19 struck, right now with the way things are in this country I feel to travel out is the best way and also I have a PGD in ICT from NOUN. I would love a good college with ability to work and be able to apply for PR. My parents are willing to sponsor me, I will appreciate it if anyone can put me through.
A PGD in Global Business Management is the logical progressive step for you given that you own a registered business in Nigeria. However, its safe and convincing if you don't declare the previous PGD in ICT from NOUN, for it will reduce your application success.

Mr. Frank, do you think receiving gift deeds from multiple sources will suffice for my application?

Thank you.
Receiving multiple gift deeds passes a wrong signal to the visa officer about your personal financial establishment in your home country. Having said that, there is high possibility of being denied on the ground of "Personal Assets and Financial Status". To avoid this, I will recommend you stick to a gift deed from a close relative.
