For those of you that want to be doing switch-switch, good news.

”You can only have permission under the Graduate route once. While it is possible to switch from the Graduate route back to the Student route, you could not then apply again under the Graduate route based on a new qualification. This only applies to the applicant themselves, not to any dependant who has previously had permission under the Graduate route.”

It didn't say anything about dependents. Wow

Individuals who already have permission as a dependant of a Student who is applying on this route can also apply to extend their permission as a dependant – however new dependants are not permitted on this route.

Tips to pass credibility interview because I had mine.

Make sure you don't let feel u have tie with country you are going. If asked, don't admit you have relatives in that country.

Make sure you try to let the interviewer see how u could come back to Nigeria and make use of your studies. Find away to take their mind off thinking you want to work in the there after studies. Don't even say u will further to your studies there after u finish.
Make them feel u are strictly going to stay at the school accommodation or recommended accommodation. Research if the school has accommodation or the accommodation is the one the school recommend for students. Know the address and cost and different option they have.

If you need more information just let me know.

Oga dont come here and be misleading people. The bolded are WRONG!!!

Hello Nairalanders,
Please I need your help
I already got an offer in University of Bradford to study Msc in int'l business
In my offer later, I was asked to make a deposit of £2,000 and I was given a scholarship of £5, 000 to be deducted from my tuition fee (Self funding student)
Tuition fee is £17,682

I want to ask , what's then next step to take ?
How do I get my CAS ? Is it after the advance deposit or before ??

Please put me through

Pay your 2k deposit (if you have more than 2k, you can pay) to get your CAS.

Please when you want to prepare your 28days bank statement, include the 5k in your tuition balance alongside your maintenance fee.

Abeg ooooo, except it is clearly stated in your CAS that you have 5k discount. Cover letter helps too.

Wahala for person weh hin school no indicate scholarship/discount amount for hin cas ooo.

Scholarship or no scholarship, just try and show full amount of tuition in your bank statement especially when it’s not indicated on your cas.

Cover notes helps as well. Some of these eco’s dey commit errors lately. Them no dey farabale at all.

Na you know how much you go pay when you reach uk. It’s btwn you and your school.

I hate stories that touch.

Quite confusing which to follow. . . .

We have always advised that we use the lame man English. “I have naira, give me the equivalent in pound”

Coupled with the fact that the rate is always higher, it’s better to use it to have rest of mind.

Not saying the other one is incorrect tho, but just to be on safe side.

It’s actually straightforward and not confusing in my opinion.

Please, quick one.is it advisable to print bank statement exactly 28days or i should wait till extra day making it 29days?

For instance. Today makes it 28days. Can i print dt from the bank n process with my visa application..(start date 16th January and end date 12th February, 2020. Can this fly?

I need your advice please?

The law states 28days which is fine. Any reasons why you can’t add extra 1, 2, 3 or a few extra days?

Hello everyone,
I'm going to university of east london in September 2021.

My husband and 2 children will be my dependants. Is it possible to travel with only my children and my husband can come alone later whenever he wants?

The immigration rules state that both parents must be legally present in the UK.

The only exceptions listed by the UKVI are:

That the other parent is dead or

That you have and have had sole responsibility for the child's upbringing, or

There are serious or compelling family or other reasons which would make it desirable not to refuse the application and suitable arrangements have been made in the UK for the child’s care.

You will need to provide supporting evidence that you meet one of the above criteria.

My advice, travel together first. Then he can come back home later

I had pre CAS interview with the school,

Hi demmysoft, were you the one had a 10years ban? If yes, I would advise you reapply and this time around you should prepare very well for the interview. If possibly, look for someone that can act as an interviewer and ask you possible questions about your school, course and personal history.

Even though you have served the ban and your student visa application is treated on a merit basis, the ban will still come back to hunt you. They will go the extra mile to determine your credibility.

I won’t advice an AR.

3) Can N5million run the whole package (upfront payment of school fees, VISA processing and others, excluding the POF)

justwise:

3. 5m will not go anywhere close , it may take care of school fees depending on your school ranking and course but it will not be enough for maintenance money for both of you and visa application process.

You need at least 3times that figure

5m will, excluding POF

Last I checked, this thread is titled “living in the uk/life as a uk immigrant. So whether you on tier4, tier2, ILR or a british passport, etc everybody is equal. Nobody here is more senior than anybody.

So if a student (already in the uk) is asking a question, it’s up to you whether to reply or jump and pass.

My own observation.

In nairaland if ‘joke’ is the challenged it’s taken as truth.

So let me make it clear here now before you run with the’joke’

I never contacted those individuals you mentioned or any nairalander for any financial dealings and I’m not planning to do that anytime soon.

I have no problem sending money home.

Greetings all,
Need your advice:
What do you think of someone on salary of 400k in Nigeria and wife currently studying in the UK -newly wedded couple and wife want him to join her, settle down and start a family over there.

Is the wife an undergraduate or a postgraduate student?

Better still, go to the Uk government website and read on visa and immigration - student visa. Then you can go to the uk student visa section of nairaland and ask specific questions.

From this letter it is clear you did not submit sufficient proof of your financial capabilities.(I.e not enough money to see you through out your visit).
Your case worker thinks you disguising your true intentions for applying for a visitors visa. They scared you might not return if granted visitors visa..
However you’ve stated that you now intend applying via the study route which is very straightforward.

I don’t think it will affect your student visa application if you fill it honestly.
In you application be honest and declare all visa refusals you’ve got .Also address those issues raised before (finances).
Submit sufficient proof of educational qualifications including your UK admission letters.

Other experience people would advice you more when the come online ....

Clearly you didn’t understand the initial post cheesy
