Family / Re: I Feel so Angry With My Husband. Help! by freddaboh(m): 9:50am On Apr 04, 2016
x240:

You must have been reading my text upside down.

I blamed everyone proportionately. I never spared anyone. I like to be a realist and talk based on facts and not just emotions or feelings.

I guess you skimmed through where she said she started seeing the obvious signs when he was having troubles settling his office rent. I am not in their family and can only judge based on little snippets of info you can gleam.
What does it connote for a man to not be able to pay his office rent just few months after his wedding?

You make it seem like it is a black and white issue. How many times has a man tried talking to the lady to listen and reduce the cost of wedding expenses but they turn it too a case of he is too stingy.

How many of you ladies here would agree to budget wedding?

How many would agree to a small wedding with just minute friends and families around?

How many times have ladies of guys not loving them enough because he doesnt want to spend on a frivolous wedding?

The guy is to blame for over spending his balance but its not that easy to just pull out of such when you have expended emotions, time and resources nurturing such a relationship only to just breakaway.

So run along if you can't constructively disagree with my post. Thanks.

@op This might not be the case in your example but you need to sit him down and talk about finding a way around whatever challenges he is facing. The way i see it. There seems to be fire on the mountain and all his lovely wife wants to do is "Gist about what is not". No wonder he pulls away and thinks "You don't just get it".

You are making a whole lot of sense. I can feel through your line of reasoning.

Family / Re: Help!!..did I Marry The Wrong Lady? by freddaboh(m): 9:59am On Feb 18, 2016
yemi16:
I courted her for about 1yr..before we got married 6months ago..
Meanwhile while courting, she had told me she left her former relationship because the guy she dated then was like the breadwinner to his family catering for all his siblings and she felt quite uncomfortable with it....

I didnt read much to it coz in my mind it happended to my favour and i already have a well to-do siblings...as at my courtship period though...

Shortly before we got married, my elder brother who also just had a baby lost his job....and i had to support him and his family on a need basis especially with their little cute baby boy growing but i noticed my my then fiancee didnt just like it at all....

After we got married....i got a great job with this good pay and was very comfortable....meanwhile my brother search for job was to no avail....and his wife was on maternity leave.

To cut long story short, each time my brother comes to me for help....and i send him money, my wife complains that i larvish my money on my brother...that he should go and get a job and not rely on me always...we would quarrel seriously for days/weeks before time eventually settles things...

Just last few days ago....we were relocating to a new area within town and i called my brother to pick up a few stuffs (electronics, household items) i know i wouldnt or i planned replacing with a new one......He came and picked them up as i had informed him....After he left, my wife let hell loose....she went completely mad and we had a big quareel...she even called my brother to return a few stuffs he took even when i already bought the replacements...

I am used to going back to her to apologize just to let peace reign ...but this time i have had it upto my neck..!!!!...
I dont intend apologizing one bit as i am sure i did her no wrong......

Now i am thinking deeply.....did i really overlooked the signs...?...did i really marry the wrong lady??....

Please i need your advise on how best to manage this...

Admin..pls help to update this on fp..i really need lots of advice at the moment.

Thanks.

My brother, it is simply an indirect power tussle between you and her. You can't just abandon your brother because of your wife, just like you can't abandon your wife because of your brother. Your challenge right now is choosing between what is right and peace. What is right is helping your brother when he needs you but you still want your peace from your wife. Solution: Never! Never!! Never!!! Allow a woman even your wife to stop you from doing what is right, you may not have peace temporarily but your conscience will be at peace eternally. Secondly, you have to let your wife know that you are the man in the house and not her and by the time you stand up to her and let her know that you are the man of the house and you can not for any whatsoever abandon your brother she will calm down. Trust me.

I'm not a good writer so feel free to correct any mistake made.
We're living in a society where moral values and chastity have been buried .Young men keep complaining of "Nigerian girls",some say they are loose, hot-tempered ,ill-mannered and call us all sort of names..The truth is whether men like it or not,,they must get married.
Here is a list of categories of ladies we have in our country now and you "men" have to pick one ...
1.A virgin but with bad character.
2. A homely pretty girl that slept with over 50 guys and no abortion but decides to settle
down for marriage .
3.A pretty single girl that just had four abortions in entire life but still flirts around.
4. A single mum with just one kid and has never had an abortion but looking for a man that will take her as she is.
5. A clerics daughter that got raped while
she was a virgin and has decided to move
with her life.
6. A young girl with probably one of the STDs
in town...
Now,guys which of D's category of ladies can u cope with?..I mean settle down with..

Which one are you?

Education / Re: 4 Easy Ways To Get An Undergraduate Scholarship In Nigeria by freddaboh(m): 9:26am On Feb 02, 2016
dammy13:
Undergraduate scholarships have been a wonderful tool to help students, who would not otherwise have found it easy to complete their university education, due to financial constraints.

The first step for most is to apply and hope they get the scholarships. Yet, many have tried to get without success, why is this the case? And how can can you guarantee your own success?

1. Begin Early
Most students do not know about the undergraduate scholarships until they are in their second or even third year of school, by which time they have already lost out on scholarships they could have been getting since their first year, and they may not have the CGPA to apply. So how can you fight this? Start immediately you gain admission.

2. Maintain Good Grades
Most scholarships require that you maintain a good grade of at least 3.0 or higher. So you have to study hard from your first year of school. This conditional scholarships also help you to stay focused and keep getting good grades till you graduate.

3. Apply Early
Most students leave application until it is too late. Most scholarships have wide publicity, with millions applying yearly. So if you apply early, the chances that you will qualify is higher. So once you get the scholarship alerts, rush down to apply.

4. Follow up
Do you register for scholarships and then go to sleep? No. Keep checking there website and this website regularly to keep you informed about the selection process or any examinations that will be written.

Wish you the very best in life.

Politics / Re: Is The $2.2 Billion Arms Deal Fraud Really A Propaganda? by freddaboh(m): 5:18pm On Jan 14, 2016
TonyeBarcanista:
This article is to put to rest the attempt by some opponent of the ongoing anti-corruption fight to label the $2.2billion Arms scandal a propaganda.

While some opponent of the #armsgate probe allege that the money involved is $300million, facts on ground shows otherwise.

The $322 million Diverted Abacha Loot
Firstly, let me clarify on the $322million(not $300million) Abacha loot.

The said Abacha's loot came in mid(and late) 2014 from the Principality of Liechtenstein($227million) and the State of Jersey in the Channels' Island.

Before the monies even came, the FG set up a three man interministerial committee comprising of exNSA Sambo Dasuli, ex-justice minister Muhammed Adoke and ex-finance minister Ngozi Iwaela.
www.vanguardngr.com/2014/06/fg-receive-n37bn-abachas-loot-june-25/

The FG panel recommended that the money be used to purchase arms and on January 20, 2015, Ngozi Okonjo Iwaela sent a memo to President Jonathan to transfer $322 million to Sambo Dasuki which was approved.
Excerpt of the letter reads...

www.vanguardngr.com/2015/12/how-okonjo-iweala-diverted-n61-4bn-abacha-loot-to-nsa-report/

This was confirmed by NOI in her December 10, 2015 statement through her spokesperson Mr. Paul Nwabuikwu. Here is a quote in his statement

www.punchng.com/arms-scam-i-transferred-322m-to-dasuki-says-okonjo-iweala/

I think this has been clarified that the $322 million was also enmarked for arms purchase. Let us see whether it was then entire money or a part of the whole.

The $2.2 Billion Arms Deal
After the sack of Sambo Dasuki as NSA in July 2015, the FG set up panel to investigate arms purchase from March 2007 to 2015 when Dasuki left as it was discovered that though the FG under Jonathan claimed to enmark billions for arms, the army authorities(including former Chief of Defence Staff, Alex Badeh) were complaining of lack of arms to confront Boko Haram. Here is an excerpt of the committee finding

www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/193398-%E2%80%8Bbuhari-orders-arrest-of-ex-nsa-dasuki-others-indicted-in-arms-contract-report.html

If you add the figures above, it will give an estimated total of $2.2billion. Also, the emboldened is clear enough to tell that the diverted arms money was from 2012 to 2015. While the $322 million is part of the entire arms money, it is not the ONLY money involved. Dasuki was appointed NSA in July 2012.

The panel also discoverd that “The contracts, which were said to be for the purchase of four Alpha Jets, 12 helicopters, bombs and ammunition were not executed and the equipment were never supplied to the Nigerian Air Force, neither are they in its inventory.

Is The $2.2billion Arms Probe Still A Propaganda?
After reading the above, will someone still call the $2.2 billion arms probe a "propaganda"?

If you read all the statements of Sambo Dasuki, he never denied the total money involved. He merely said that all payment were approved by Goodluck Jonathan
http://www.dailytrust.com.ng/news/general/arms-contracts-payments-endorsed-by-ex-president-jonathan-dasuki/120239.html.

Even Jonathan's statement in the USA of not approving $2.2 billion at once does not invalidate the subject. Nowhere did anybody allege that the entire $2.2 billion came in one batch. It is the estimated cumulative of extra-budgetary amount on arms probe from 2012 to March 2015.

We are at a period where we have to choose between taking a position calling for the prosecution of alleged corrupt government officials and their allies, or standing behind the corrupt element to fight against the anti-corruption crusade. This is not about APC and PDP but about Nigeria. There is no sitting on the fence.

Since taking this noble position on the fight against corruption, I have been abused, insulted and called names by opponent of the corruption fight. Nevertheless, I shall not yield to blackmail nor cease from standing for justice. Justice must be served!

May God Bless Us All and Bless Nigeria

Thank God you've gotten your senses back. The fight against corruption is the responsibility of every Nigerian, it is our duty to our motherland.
