ok, I just passed the Agulu lake hotel project enroute my village, work seem to be going on there, especially the new bridge for the lake, think they are trying to expand the road. Nice lake view. I wonder what impact this hotel will have though since its very far from the capital, unless they dualize the road with streetlights straight to Amawbia from there. This is The only and decent govt project I have seen since my arrival here. Every other thing is the same. would have stopped to take pics but we in a hurry. cool
Politics › Obasanjo's Letter To Jonathan Is In Good Faith by FreeGlobe(op): 5:26pm On Dec 12, 2013
Jonathan should really think over the contents of that letter if he wants to win 2015, especially the issue of supporting different parties for election against his own PDP even going to the extent of encouraging massive rigging by other parties to win elections against his own PDP. That is bad politics, and will come back to haunt Jonathan. It smirks of desperation and very undemocratic. Truth be told, obasanjo is a force in this country whose opinion is weighty. I will continue to support Jonathan against bad belles from SW but he should not discard the contents of this letter. I wonder who he will support in Ekiti and oshun elections going by the fraud he oversaw in Anambra elections.

Sincere 9gerian: Peter Obi is a great leader who will be celebrated long after he must have left office. His policy of delivery funds for lower level projects DIRECTLY to end beneficiary is unique and laudable. It is one way of reducing corruption and making sure the best value is gotten for every 1 kobo expended. Who can supervise a project better than the end beneficiary?

Peter Obi has linked most rural communities with well constructed roads. Rebuilt and equipped schools in partnership with the church. What is remaining is polishing and beautification of the state, especially major cities and the state capital and reconstruction of some public schools and hospitals. Hopefully, his successor will do all of that and more.

Anambrarians are indeed lucky. Thank God the devil (Andy Ubah) OBJ wanted to impose on Anambrarians was sent packing by the courts. OBJ is very evil. When he wanted good work done in NAFDAC, he looked for Dora Akunyili, but when he wanted destruction of Anambra State, he looked for the thief called Andy Ubah.
Nonsense. Foolish post from a hireling. I am currently in Anambra state, live from olde English hotel behind govt house. The consensus here in Anambra is for March 17 to come quickly for the clueless gov to fade into oblivion while we capture the state from his clueless stooge x2 via the courts.
Just because it is Anambra State we are talking about here, I will overlook the part of him giving billions to the Anglican & Catholic churches for the rehabilitation of mission schools..

OKAY!! How about the following cheques handed out by our beloved Donatus Obi;

1. 30 Million Naira Cheque to Chikason Group of Company for Road

2. 35 million to Agbo Edo Traders for road

3. 24 million Naira to Flying Eagles

4. 100 Million Naira to St. Pauls University (Private Uni)

5. 100 Million to madonna University (Private Uni)

6. N50 million to St. Charles Borromeo Hospital, Onitsha (private hospital)

7. 10 million Naira cheque to NDLEA (Federal Agency wey get budget)

8. 62.2 Million Naira to ex-Biafran soldiers

etc
wtfhuh? I just had to Google the 24million gift to flying eagles to be sure. The comments on this Fb page sums up my opinion

omenka: Sack threat worked?? What part of the cosmos do you get that your blunthuh Would really like to get some o' dat!!.

The sack threat was a disastrous gambit which blew in the govt's face and embarassed them deeply. That underscores why Okupe had to scramble one of his biggest lies yet, that there was over 70% compliance from the lecturers to the directive issued by the FG to return to class. When they saw it wasn't gonna work, first, they extended the "deadline", followed by outright cancellation due to "compliance" cheesycheesy. One wonders if the lecturers that complied were ghost lecturers. U know, these PDP fellas, yourself inclusive, have eyes for the supernatural. gringrin. They thought they were dealing with a toothpaste factory union.

It's a blunder I would like to believe they would never repeat. But hey, who knows, if history has taught us anything, it taught us govt is the worst student of history!
look at this joker. was it not ASUU that went to class to drag out teaching lecturers at uniben? can you inform us any new thing the govt offered ASUU that is different from previous offers that made them sign the mou with a perm sec as against the attorney general they requested. The sack threat rattled ASUU believe it or not.

Peter obi sycophants in action. smh. Anambra is doomed. Anambra will continue to be backward until this clueless governor leaves office. Why drag the church into politics, why dish out checks to private individuals at the twilight of your administration like no mans business. This hospital will end up like ALL Obi's project, either uncompleted or grossly substandard.

engrflames: Victory for ASUU, our education and the oppressed masses of this dear country by the PDP oppressors. Where are thy accusers, Wike, Okupe, Okonjo etc. I said it earlier that the FG will loose the battle because they were on the wrong side of justice and reasoning. Thank God they did not continue on the path of error. If they have done the needful, our students would not have stayed at home this long. I hope GEJ has learnt some lessons in leadership. If I were him, that man Wike will pay for this embarassment to
my government.
please how is it victory for ASUU? most of their demands and conditions were not met by FG. The sack threat really played a huge role here. ASUU lost and were embarrassed not fg

Because his govt is igbo leaning. He is not Yoruba or Hausa/Fulani. Enugu has an international airport, the 2NB is in view. The vultures that have held the nation hostage for over 40 years have been shortchanged. That's why.

IKEMBA NNEWI: Freegloble Nwanna kedu ije? I understand your dislike and displeasure towards Obi, i want to let you know that just like you, i never liked Obi, neither did i like his stooge obiano, if you recall vividly, i was amongst those campiagning for Ngige on this forum, but Alas Ngige lost, and there is absolutely nothing we can do about it, i have the interest of Anambra @ heart more than Anything else, thus, i wont because i dont like Obi, decide to rubbish any good he does for Anambra. Anambra bu nkeanyi nile, if you decide to engage in a Campaign of Calumny against Obi, simply because you feel( i feel so too) Ngige was rigged out, be sure that the bigger damage will be on the state as a whole.
The other time you created a thread showcasing the bad sides of Awka( mostly federal property) just to rubbish Obi and label him an 'Incompetent Administrator', do you know how many investors you might have driven away with that one singular act? Do you know that thread might have changed someone's perception of Awka(an Anambra as a whole) forever?? I'm not against constructive criticism, but spreading malicious lies just to pull someone down is outright wickedness. Tommorow if Eko ile(Aka agbameta, plaindealer) puts up that pic on any thread and calls it 'Awka' would i have the gall to call him a liar, since it was my brother tha put it up?
Mind you, till now, i find it difficult liking obiano, but i know i have no choice than to give him my backing and hopes he performs better. So nwannem oma, join us in making Anambra better, elections will come and go, Governors will come and go, but Anambra will remain, so if you denigrate your state today, because you hate Obi, what makes you think people's perception of that state will change tommorow if Soludo,Ngige or Dora becomes Governorhuh
FreeGlobe, think about it. Chukwu gozie gi nwannem! wink.
Spoken well, I understand your point but what I don't like is how the governor tries to deceive people he is working and how crafty he is. If he is not whooping up all these propagandas about his performance, I wouldn't even care what's going on. I posted those pics to deflate the propaganda when it was at its peak. our people need to be enlightened. Its nothing personal, just that I dislike him and will stop when he leaves. I could be part of his govt if I want, I have his number, the deputy governor visits us frequently in his capacity, so you get my drift.

Nobody knows the type of deal he signed with innoson that necessitated the sudden flooding of schools with vehicles even without accessible roads, standard laboratories and buildings. This man needs to see what Amaechi, Rochas etc are doing in education. Anyways. come March, the state will be partially liberated from this fraud pending the court cases!

Bulldog: A person that doesn't know and doesn't know he knows not is a fool and a lost cause to humanity. I accepted ngiges because he's the person that brazenly rigged himself into office, got greedy, failed to keep his bargain to his sponsors and nearly tore anambra down. I'm not gullible like you are and will remain. This is the noise you were making before the election and after the election, you and your ngige crew are angels and saints while others are demons smiley may God have mercy on your lost soul
Foolish sycophant, keep deceiving yourself. Peter obi is a total mess of governance. Ngige's 3 years is faaar better than his 8 wasted years whether you like it or not. The same way you claim he brazenly rigged himself into office is exactly how obi did for himself and Obiano
I was in Abuja today for a workshop holding at the National Assembly. While waiting with some friends at the huge Lobby of the National Assembly I sighted Chris Ngige walking into the Senate Chambers.

My question is: by the virtue of the fact that Ngige vied for another election outside the National Assembly was he not supposed to resign before doing so?

I think the constitution should be applied to effectively recall Ngige from the Senate or he should go for a rerun.
The way Peter Obi resigned before going for a second term. yeah right

bushwailo: You are the one who is mental.
I have never been Yoruba.
I supported Ngige and still feel he was the best to govern Anambra.
But truth be told, Ngige lost the election flat !

Not because he was not the better candidate.
But because Obi and APGA exploited the stupid mentality inherent amongst our Igbo kindred.
Just like the one you are displaying right now.
People like you are part of the problem.

You are the most tribalistic and yet you start crying whenever you are at the receiving end.
Look it is obvious there was NO way Ngige lost that election unless you live in the moon. The election was massively rigged and does not represent the views of majority Anambrarians. that you used the outcome to judge the views of Anambra people is a display of lunancy. Didn't Anambra people vote Ngige to the despite all obi exploitation and even against a strong candidate? why didn't you say something about that? How come a relatively unknown pdp candidate came second. Of course you know you are Yoruba like your posts have shown so stay clear from Anambra issues and go help your schizophrenia. Nonsense
