Please what's your experience been like any withdrawal issues, is the appreciation annually or quarterly like mmf
SIMMF appreciate daily, the Interest of Saturday and Sunday is credited on Monday. GIF fluctuates though it does the principal can not feminist like balanced fund on bad days. The withdrawal process is same with SIMMF very stress-free.

Have you had any experience with them? You can share so people can learn from you.

But, it will interest you to know that, Microfinance banks have been reformed.

NB: They are not my employer. I only invest. The fall of TB rate opened my eyes to that opportunity.

Thank you boss
Ok if they are not your employer then you need to just thread with caution. I was almost falling for them in the beginning when I wanted to start investing. However, research and experiences shared with me reformatted my brain.

The number of microfinance banks that closes at will should be a guide for you. With them convincing you to part with your money by promising bogus interested is a very easy thing. Issues comes up most times when you are to get back your money.
InvestmentRe: Mutual Funds by freeman67: 4:56pm On May 12, 2020
The microfinance bank that I will entrust my money as much as N500,000 for 90 days is yet to open let alone that huge sum. Maybe because you are online, you may get a customer not related to you offline so if they (The Microfinance Bank) refuse to open shop tomorrow as it is their trade mark you will sleep with eyes closed.
CareerRe: N5 Million Cash Or A 100k Job? Help Him Decide by freeman67: 9:52pm On May 10, 2020
It's a 50/50 thing. Alot will depend on his kind of person and the nature of the company. If he is a business savvy person he will do well by collecting the 5 million a start a business with it. However, if he is not business savvy he can go for the job offer. 5 million naira is about salary of 4 years and 2 months if the salary remain constant at that amount. Chances are that he could have other allowances that can make him earn more than just the 100k. He could also be promoted even before that he gets to that 4 years.

So the decision is solely his.

He is a rating(junior staff). The mode of dressing you mentioned belongs to the commissioned officers' cadre. That's from midshipman which is equivalent to one star(second lieutenant) in the army.
DamonSalvatore:
He's a Naval personnel not an officer... This one na even Junior rating self...

The navy isn't pcrc or nscdc where you call every one officer
Yes the "Officers" of the armed forces have so differentiated themselves from the other ranks in a bid to display their superiority however, anybody in the armed forces is an officer. That is you hear NCO meaning non - commision officers. I the army, the officers address themselves as officers and the other ranks are addressed as soldiers. However, on different occasions where I have heard army generals introduce themselves, they introduce themselves as soldiers.

In english the word officer connotes someone in position of authority. Even though that signifies an appointment holder, all government workers are referred to as such. Even in private offices it used too that's why we have account officers in the bank. Nigeria Civil Service categories their personnel into Junior meddle level and senior officers.

Good day house,

Please if anyone here have a soft copy of the recent stamp duty act I will appreciate if he/she can help me with it. My bank keep charging for stamp duty on deposits I made to my account by myself. From the excerpts I have read it should not be that way but they keep doing it. This time I am determined to stop them and possibly ask for a refund. So I will need to have a full picture before I go into the battle with them.

Attempted fraud. There's nothing like that in the Penal code.

The lady should get a lawyer to sue the officers involved and the head of Efcc in that state. Sue for damages and a declaration that they're unfit to hold public office.

That's automatic sack for them.
Na the same court they carry her go so...make she first get lawyer to defend herself from the fraud case first. Everybody will want to sweet talk issue to garner sympathy. Even if she was expecting money from another customer what is wrong to first of all verify your account and confirm the source of the deposit received before you continue to harass the customer.

Then she was showing her strength. Maybe if it was another person that does not work in that office she would have been the first to arrest the person with the police.

For the EFCC guys sha.. the issue is taken too far. If it is in the US taking people to court for any slight mistake/ offence is a normal thing so they may likely take it in good faith but in Nigeria here anything wey happen wey involve arrest and court na long term enemity.

Good morning to the elders in this thread, I am a silent reader but I have learnt so much from the wealth of experience of people in this group. The attached is the offer I got on Opay app. Is it safe to put money here? Pls guide before man pikin go mis-step.
I do not know much about Opay so I will leave those with the knowledge to give a better explanation. However, I will like you answer find answers to the following questions..

1. What business/businesses are you they into?

2. Where and where do they operate?

3. Is recent government policies in their area of operations favouring them?

4. What will your own Investment be used for?

5. From your knowledge of their business can it provide such returns?

With answers to these, I believe you will have a clear path.

Our leaders are corrupt and have mentally positioned us to applaud and praise few people who occasionally do the right thing.
We elected them into such position to do this few basic things for us, why must we celebrate and blow unnecessary trumpet of praises to them when they manage to do the right thing.

It's just like thanking and praising the pilot of a commercial airline for flying me safely to my destination. Didn't I pay for the ticket with my hard earned money? Ofcourse it should be the other way round.

Nigerians have been mentality caged.
Why do people thank waiters at the restaurant /bars or even tip them for a good service when they are doing what they are supposed to do?

People in the medical field are fighting hard to curb Corona virus and we praise then in every step of the fight. Why? is it their corrupt mentality that position us to praise them?

When police capture or kill armed robbers we applaud/praise them. Is that not what they are paid to do?

Why then will a leader do something good and you will feel because they were elected to do so they should not be applauded for it. Are they no leaders not living up to expectations in that regard?

Whether in Nigeria or anywhere in the world. If a leader does something right he is applauded just as people also vent their displeasure if something is wrong. Nothing like Nigerian being mentally caged there.

Oga you allowed your dollar to touch the hands of an aboki and you did not change the dollar after that? Una get mind o.

Stories abound of aboki exchanging real USD for fake USD simply for reneging on agreements and you asking them to return your money to you.

Anyway, I believe you should be safe sha.

In future, before you do that, ensure you write the serial number of the money or snap each of them before you hand it over. Even banks scan each dollar before handing them over to you.
This scenario you painted is possible only if you deal with the roadside / dubious exchangers. If you walk into a real Bureau the Change nothing of such will happen.

hmmm, just that if I have small change like this. I don't know how to say no.. but after granting the request, I would now be regretting
..... u people are doing great here..grin
Your small change will definitely have a pattern which it comes. It may come inform of salary, wages, earnings e.t.c In like manner you will have to design a pattern of giving too. You are not to turn to a bad person overnight...nope.. but you will need to set a limit to it.. decide a percentage you want to give out after you save and take care of your bill. If that amount is exhausted then whatever request that comes will have to wait till you earn again.

You go need strong your mind small oooo till when you feel you have saved and invested to a particular level or when your earnings capabilities have improved and you feel you need to give out more.

this life sha.. na money person dey use find money ..I see one bro up there wey one invest 5m..if I'm not mistaking, by the end of the year, he would have like 500k to 600k as gain.. which that might take care of him house rent or start another business self.. the question now is how person one gather 5m in this Nigeria nitori oloun.. coming from a shaking background, after settling bills and other stuff.. how u one gather 5m extra.. would appreciate una input abeg.. put us through ...
Obviously you have a means of income. Person wey no dey earn no go take care of bills. Try as much as you can to reduce the bills and money you spend for other stuff to very necessary ones to enable you save some. Try your hands on other means of earnings to boost your what you earn.

Do not understimate the power of gradual and consistent savings no matter how small.

My Tbills is to expire first week in July. With the current trends, would it be wise to terminate investment now and buy dollars to keep in a dom account? I’m very much interested in preserving the spending power of my little savings. Which bank is preferable for dom acct opening and maintenance? If I deposit $5k would I be able to withdraw everything when I need it?
Opening any account with GTB is without money I.e Zero balance . Dorm accounts inclusive. Though you will still be advised to fund the account when open but that will be totally at your discretion. Also, I don't think there are maintenance charges with their dorm account.

The charges you are likely to get will be transfer charges and the likes..
