abraolas1:It depends on the channel used, the time it was and if it was done correctly. If you did it by mobile or internet transfer before 12 pm, it should reflect that yesterday except they is an oversight from them. However, if it is done from within the bank it will take longer. Also in your transfer narration/comment/reason you are to indicate your MMF. If you are sure all is well done then you can contact early today to fix it before they go on break. |
vexing:If you earn more than that and have been working for long without saving much it could mean that your savings culture is weak or that your spendings lean more on your wants than your needs. It could also mean that you did not start saving or investing your savings early in your work life. Finally I could also means that you are carrying more load on your earning that leave little to be saved. |
Akin3891:That FBN Edge seem to be the most difficult app I have encountered of recent. Been trying to set one up since last week but couldn't get past the page it request for e-mail address and phone number. |
Valueinvestor:Ok, thanks. |
What is happening to Morgan I tried logging in this even but couldn't instead they displaced the information below.

How is the allegation of killings with charms going to be proven in court when none of them is arrested with any weapon? |
Charleys:Na una dey chop the food but na Oyibo dey name the name... Na people like you wey no dey research pass anything wey grow come meet need go back to school.. Because you grow dey hear say una dey call am into no make am so...
|
Apart from that Appslayer than seem to be a little selfless, every other seem to more interested in your matter for their own personal gains. |
Charleys:Ok I will take your advice but before I go you will have to check the dictionary at least to understand that I have actually taught you something. |
Charleys:It's actually Okra and not any of the above.. |
emmanuelewumi:Is there a link to the group or how do intending members join? |
Hmmmmm |
DaBogu:Treasury Bills... |
Femiobat:Yes I thought as much. Thanks |
Sleemzy3:Normally there is an application letter or a form you fill requesting them to invest in treasury bill for you. If the eventual investment does not tally with your request and you were not informed of anything contrary, you may decide to terminate/cancel and won't lose anything. |
mickel00:Thank God people here have been able to decode that it is a Microfinance Bank and would not bother risking their hard earned money there. I wish to further advice that you should not try to lure families, relatives and neighbours to invest there as you are likely to become enemies down the line after such investment. Majority of Microfinance Bank owners in Nigeria are not very sincere and may likely mismanage or varnish with people's money. Once that happens, the people that come through you only know you and as such will want to get their money back from you. Which may not be possible because by then the CEO would have disappeared with it. |
Sleemzy3:It is either the duration given to you is not up to 90 days, the rate given was not up to 7% or the whole of your 5.5 mil was not invested. Whatever it is you can make out time to contact them and collect your certificate/proof of investment to see if the contract was actually according to your agreed terms. |
eezeribe:Ahh so Stanbic dey here in disguise camouflaged as eezeribe...? |
feelamong:I get interested ooo. |
This morning I was in a branch of FirstBank and was told that they can't give out any form because they have not been asked to then I went to a branch of Zenith Bank closeby. In that Zenith branch I was told that they have stopped doing investing in TB for customers. They said they only do Fixed Deposit for customers now. |
isangjohnson:I have been trying to understand what they intend to do for locally made product to be available to the extend that it will suppress smuggling and I am not seeing any. Whatever privileged information that is hidden but does not translate to welfare of the masses is not worth it. Boarder closure is one of the best and at the same time hardest decision for any Nigerian leader to take and as such should be appluaded. However, with what I am seeing as the after effect; it is may not change anything. Rice smuggling is one of the major reason for the closure. The situation that led people to prefer consumption of foreign rice over local rice is still very much around. It has actually been a while I have bitten stones in my rice untill the boarder closure. Also, the rate at which the price of local rice increased immediately the boarder was closed leave little to be desired of it. Same goes for chicken and other consumables that was hitherto imported. Yes there may be increase in tariff to deter the importers and the consumer but if you calculate the extra cost of visiting a dentist one may still consider the foreign the option. Except the boarder remain close for about 4 years and we put deliberate efforts to better our produce before reopening the boarder. If the boarder is opened early next year as being rumoured then we have suffered for nothing. |
Zornes123:Forget that guy..he is here ranting and insulting because his antics were discovered on arrival. He has been begging from thread to thread for people to to come and sign agreement to partner him on a business that maybe non existent/ non-viable. @ kunleweb people wey get 50k never gree release am for you because you no fit convince them na here you want come shine. You just stumbled on this thread and heard people talking millions then you just want to have your cut from them just like that. It doesn't work that way. Please for those into haulage business he parades himself as a knowledgeable person in that aspect too incase there is anybody willing to buy a truck for him to manager. ![]() If at all you have any reasonable business idea you won't be here on TB thread yapping because people are not investing your real business. There are commercial banks where you can get loan and if it's too high there is also Bank of Industry with a reasonable rate. You are here forming bankers son. yet you cannot convince your rich banker parents to lend you the 50k, the 120k you so desire or even invest in your business. That's another way of sourcing capital for business. No, you won't do that. You prefer coming here because you have a motive. You can go ahead and blab more now I won't answer you again. I know that those who have ears have already listened. Nobody here iwill be caught in the explosion of the mines you laying. ![]() |
It is this same mentally that makes some thieves burn shops if it too fortified to be broken so that the owner will not enjoy since they can't enjoy it. It looks like some Evans associates have discovered this thread. E be like say person plan to abduct person don fail as marked target/victim no free show...oboy see vex...ndi real economy... |
For those saying the op and his landlord should have a discussion/agreement with their wives. Hope you guys know that they and their wives are seen as one and such could be witnesses? |
ogawisdom:If you are close to/have the ears of the Government/CBN governor and his crew please tell them to stop borrowing money from Nigerians at all. The 1 or 2% is too much a favour already and also their foreign partners and cronies are there to borrow them anytime they need at very high rates. If not all your rants here will not have effect. You may even end up getting sad for lack of patronage/failed intend to swindle you masquerade here as patriotism. |
emmanuelewumi:All of them coming here to tell people about raising financial models and running many businesses that has not failed are just setting traps waiting for their potential bush meat to enter. They now know many people here have capital looking for where to invest so they want to use that opportunity to dupe people. |
vexing:Yes, even for secondary market settlement is Thursdays. Though sometimes some people would not know it entered their account because some banks do not send alert. If you saw November 11 as maturity then also check well to verify its not term deposit you invested in. |
Like I told you before every investors want where his/her capital is guaranteed and where the is possibility of more with less risk. Increasing their loan ratio will eventually still not affect the economy. You and your entire CBN crew know that most times the banks do not borrow the real sector that can stimulate economic growth. They will rather borrow themselves in proxy, their friends and family members and at the end all you will see is a large chunk of non performing loans. Even after stealing the money they will not invest instead they will spend it lavishly sinking large % of shareholders/ investors fund... People invested in oceanic, intercontinental, spring and recently skybank. What is their benefit. If not for access bank diamond investors were already accepting their fate. If you are to be a PFA and you bought GTB @ N50 and your Dangote cement @ N220 per share as it was selling last year after your due diligence. By nowyou will be sitting on a very big % of negative balance. You are happy because individuals citizens and local corporates that suffers the brunt of their try and error policies are restricted from participating in OMO. To PFA should bring the money to capital market but don't see anything wrong in it being restricted to banks and foreign investors alone. Then the same you will turn around and complain that the banks are making free money from it... Is there any sense in it? |
chloride6:I tried to look for the sense you were trying hard to make in this but I didn't see any. If what you see is what the central bank governor sees and still decide to restrict individual, and local corporate investors from investing in OMO then he needs to check himself and his team too because the very Zenith bank you used as example or any other bank for that matter are welcome to invest in OMO thereby being the only entity apart from foreigners/foreign corporates that can invest. How then will they want to lend money to businesses now? Banks that have all the facilities to track and receive back loan when given if they actually want to should invest in OMO then individuals who neither have the skills the to nor retrieve back their funds should either lend out their funds or invest in imaginary economy. You want fund managers to invest in stock market alone where there is no guarantee of their fund. Companies like Ocean and Oil stock came down to about N20-25 per share around 2013 after 7 years it's trading about N3.50 with no reasonable devidend since then. If any fund manager is heavily invested in it what are they to tell the person/people they are to manage the funds for? |
Adiwana:Nobody is withdrawing any money. Once you fill that form it means you already made up your mind to invest your then your money is earmarked. Even in other banks where you may see your money ( earmark sum for TB ) in your ledger balance, you will see that most times they have already placed a lien on it you will not be able to withdraw the amount proper t. You can see but can't withdraw because you have already requested them to invest it on your behalf. It's not easy harmonising all the request.. also bidding is not done branch by branch. Even if they was any law as you think there should be, they will only adjust their terms and conditions. Once you agree to go with the terms the law will have no effect on them. |
zamirikpo: mumayo:My own experience was different though maybe because I went there too early. I was in a Stanbic branch and was told it's too early then I remembered their global market opens around 10:30. Went back there at about 10:40 am and was told nothing is available for secondary market so I left only to later start seeing 125days here. Then it was to late for me. |
Fyabdul:That has always been FBN style for primary market except they forget. Most times they take the money from your reach as soon as you request. Your situation seem favourably different compare to mine. They keep telling me they have not been adviced to treat TB.. Even today I have been told same. So I have decided to gradually move my small savings as the TBs I have there matures. |
