PoliticsRe: What Measures Are The Northern Elite Taking To Tackle The High Level Of Illitera by freshest4live: 8:57pm On Jul 30, 2017
QueenOfNepal:
The basis of their discussion centered on Restructuring and not Education.

Imagine if the Sultan can declare a state of emergency on education in the North instead of sending his ward to London to attend schools there while he turns a blind eye to the evil growing in his domain.

In Jigawa the state government is building more mosque than schools which is is a subtle way of saying F**k Education
OK, but even after going to school and they end up jobless, they go back to violence.
This is why Bauchi state may soon begin the allocation of 700-900 thousand naira to about 200 graduates to go back to Agriculture due to unemployment.

I beg to disagree because among an El rufai will always be a Shehu Sani to counter his narrative.

Education builds a man and gives him options in life
There is an ongoing forum by Northern leaders and this is a Major topic alongside Restructuring and Arewa problem.

I thought as much, it's radio Biafra news as usual, why do these people think U.S should meddle in Nigerian affairs? Are we their slaves?
PoliticsRe: Biafra Agitation: Us Ambassador W. Stuart Symington Has This To Say by freshest4live: 4:13pm On Jul 30, 2017
If that is the case then they should be ready to destroy Nigeria completely. They can tolerate human rights abuses in Chad and Cameroon but not Nigeria?
Ipob stop disgracing yourselves, U.S have no right to dictate to Nigeria what to do, the best they can do is release their missiles and bombs and we all die.
Maybe you forgot that Jonathan dismissed U.S soilders from Nigeria in 2014, and Obasanjo refused to allow a U.S AFRICOM in West Africa.

Public schools are practically free in Nigeria.

Fyi, there are public schools whose tuition fees are more expensive than privately owned schools.

Even in Nigeria, I know of one in Kebbi state under Kebbi state govt. Abdullahi Fodio Primary and Secondary, Birnin Kebbi. It's facilities are comparable with the ones displayed here.
They compare apple with oranges.

Our public schools are not good and they are free. But we have lots of private schools like this in places like Warri.

we visited 107 schools.our Nigerian team were very surprised,we attested to the fact that they have better secondary schools than us.our problem as Nigerians is that we don't accept the truth.i can go on and post more pics.what pains me is that they are all government schools
How many places in Nigeria have you guys been to?

where did you get this "our" stuff from?
You are not even a Nigerian.
They just stay in their town in Nigeria and then compare other countries to that town as Nigeria.
Someone even said only Osun has the best secondary schools, lol.
I stay in warri, and l've seen some very beautiful secondary schools with serene environments like Cambridge, Standard, etc. In PH, Amaechi did some good works with the public schools, but l admit that generally our public schools have been neglected.

@OP, you are right. I believe in the unity of the south. Although i am not an ipob, I am an Igbo man, I feel Osibanjo shouldnt make a mistake of doing what the northern miscreants commanded him to do. He is not answerable to both the northern miscreants and the IPOB miscreants.
Both of them are foolish.
Let's continue to work towards a United south despite the rantings of these two gang of miscreants.
A united south would be the best thing in Nigeria, we can see a little evidence of that in Lagos, and Nollywood/music.
But given the distrust and hatred from both camps especially on social Media platforms like this, do you think a united south is possible?

Lol, from my research, it seems there are more Igbo's in Lagos and Kano, than Ebonyi and Enugu combined. A rally in both states would be interesting, but l don't think it's a good move at this point in time.

moninuola65:
what do you mean by that, what finance army?.....money!
during Gej when defense fund mismanaged what happen then?
boko haram taken three state, attacking Abuja, kano, kaduna....
that's the risk the restructurer what to plunge Nigeria to, the aim is to weak the federal govt. for easy balkanization!
The aim of all the these is to give the states freedom to repair all roads and utilize resources for the benefit of the state, they would still pay about 50% to the center. We just wanna terminate the sharing formula. Federal Government would still be powerful but let it be that they depend on the states and local Government rather than just natural resources.
For example, cocoa has been neglected in the south west, and the south west Governors depends on federal allocation with oil as major source of revenue.
Likewise Other states and regions have great potential and resources which they can depend on without the oil. States can also have their own grids for electricity rather than depend on national grid.
However devolution of power alone is not the complete answer, the constitution should be amended to demand that a Governor can be impeached on failure to fufill a minimum set of campaign promises.

When the oil blocks were allocated, the Igbos were nowhere in the Nigerian equation.

How much did Indimi, dantata and alakija pay for their oil wells? How much did Emeka Offor and Arthur eze pay to buy from those who got it free?

That is the point.
You tell us then, how much did they pay?

Kajiado County, Kenya

Lake Magadi is one of the largest sources of trona in the world. When Lake Magadi contains water, typically up to a metre deep, it is a bright pink colour due to salt content. The salt density of Lake Magadi is quite high, with some areas in the lake reaching 40 metres in salt thickness. Magadi is Swahili for Soda. Touring the lake and its environs is an unforgettable adventure, Kenyans love the place. tongue
It looks lovely from the pics already.

I thought so too. They still dont have a army that can stand its ground?
It seems so, they still need the UN and ECOWAS. I think Nigeria also has a defence treaty with them from the era of Obasanjo, l'll check this out when l'm less busy, l'm not very sure.
The cooperation between Nigeria and Liberia have been inspiring though, l found this article of 2014....

You misunderstood my point right from the start. It was about Israel being concerned that Nigeria as is now is turning to a terror hotbed.
Hmm you may be right though if we consider Boko Haram, l don't know who sponsors BokoHaram, but their attacks intensified when most were driven from sambisa forest. They are so determined to deal with Borno state. The problem is that BokoHaram is across three countries, Chad, Cameroon and Nigeria.
The major instability across the nation is herdsmen attack against the local farmers in communities which can be taken care of by anti-grazing bill.

Yes, but because of the Niger Delta oil.
Lol, oil is the major source of revenue, but if the Government should focus on taxes alone as revenue, it would be enough because of our population. We have the second largest stock market in Africa. Telecommunication industry in Nigeria is one of the largest with 91.6 million subscribers. Agriculture is also huge but with little technology and investments in it.
Oil though is the major export due to poor planning.

Go and google Eminado. Also google and see who other artistes feature more. Tiwa savage's songs are too classy. If you can, also google their lyrics and see who got better content. I even prefer Seyi Shay and Cynthia Morgan to your Yemi. The crown has always been with Tiwa. Yemi only took it, when Tiwa was resting during her pregnancy and delivery period. Tiwa has collected the crown again. RolceRoyce no be mate with Honda.
Yemi's got some lyrics too, check out Africa by yemi featuring Sauti Sol in Kenya.
