Pure, unadulterated delusion of grandeur.

Any assumed obligation has been eroded by recent events, and I find it amusingly surprising that you all cannot smell it.

Right now, the SS, the goose that lays the golden egg, are in pole position to clinch the Presidency with overwhelming northern support. As much as I love Tinubu for his loyalty, his region can no longer be trusted to protect northern interests and that has always been the compass that determines our political bearing. Amaechi & Jonathan are the candidates to beat as things stand.

There are actions, then there are consequences.
Xasu sha mamaki. Mai Makon suboye hatred dinsu sujira agama zabe, sai suka kasa haquri. But well that to our advantage.

The SS region's chance at 2023 Presidency is now brighter than ever.

Amaechi has performed excellently well in driving President Buhari's railway revolution amongst others.

He is much more deserving than anyone else in the south right now, if sentiments are to be buried.
Something I said more than 2 years ago.

The governor will take his blame, but believe me, it all started with Buhari ignoring other tribes pain from the many killings Fulani herdsmen has been going about in every part of the country.

The CinC did nothing when herdsmen go about killing people. Even if he won't do anything, constant statement from him assuring people of their safety is enough to scare of the killers away from their dastard act, but instead he chooses to shut up. And whenever anyone talk about the atrocities, the presidential aides are quick to defend fulani actions. Miyyeti Allah would come out to threaten anyone that dare talk and the president will see nothing to condemn in the many utterances miyyeti Allah go out yapping.

How could you then expect people not to get tired when they are treated like animals in their own lands, killed, raped and spitted upon?

Can any Yoruba group come over to the North to do all that fulani herdsmen has been doing in the west since Buhari came on board? You and I know the answer and conscience should tell you that, no one but Buharis lack of leadership prowess and ability is to be blamed for the current situation of the country.

Nevertheless, what happened in Ibadan is condemnable. Yoruba aren't savages, but Buhari is pushing everyone to the wall. Really.
Don't confuse two different issues here. The herdsmen issue is different from what going on in the market.

Amotekun (under the control of the governor) allegedly join hands with hoodlums to shoot at innocent traders.

They (Bandits) are also kidnapping the same northerners in Zamfara, Sokoto, Kaduna and co, even more than what's happening in the south. They are criminals as they are. They don't spare any tribe when unleashing their mayhems.

So your argument of can Yoruba go and do so so in the north does not match here.

Buhari has failed in his primary responsibility to safeguard the lives of the citizens.

But in this said issue of market fight, the cheif security officer of the state (Governor) should be held responsible first for an alledged state sponsored terrorism before the federal government (President).

Blame it on the useless commander in chief. The country has been in chaos and he'd neither make statement to calm the situation not directly try to solve things.

When a country is headless or the leader is technically dead, this is the type of things that go on unabated in the society.
Before you blame it on the useless commander in chief, blame it on your useless governor followed by the C in C.

There's confusion in their camp to be killing their fellow brothers.
That's not true. It's always muslims 99% of the time. When people told lies a million times you begin to assume it's the truth but it's not.

Skelewudprince:
And why don't they write their names in Arabic?
They use the normal alphabet to write their names and to write everything in Hausa.
Which one is abnormal alphabet? Hausa has been written using Arabic script for over 900 years. Hausa started using English Alphabet just as recent (not more than 50 years.)
PoliticsRe: Arabic Script On Naira Notes: Culture Clash Over Nigeria's Rival Alphabets by FriendNG: 6:49pm On Nov 15, 2020
delishpot:
OK o. I never knew Arabic was an official written language in the North. I mean no language has its written alphabet so far as I know all Nigerian languages are written with Latin letters. So I never knew all ancient Hausa people used to write in Arabic.
Today you know. I can write and read using both the 2.

Hausa started using Latin alphabet not more than 50 years ago. The Hausa Ajami script is more than 900 years old.

Deepthoughts:
All these claims of AJAMI OR AJANI or whatever is just deception, why can't the inscription simply be written in plane hausa if there's no hidden agenda behind the AJAMI or Ajani?
Just to satisfy your bigotry? There is nothing like Plain and un plain Hausa.

Hausa is originally written using Arabic Alphabets. Later (not more than 50 years) it started using English Alphabet.

You are not in the moral position to tell anybody how it should be written.

You know nothing about it history and cannot determine what is plain and not plain

Deepthoughts:
so now that the use of English alphabets to write hausa with even hausa modifications is generally accepted among hausas why can't the inscription be in the modern hausa?
You cannot decide for the Hausa. No where it's written that Hausa must be using English Alphabet. Beside English Alphabet is the newest form.
PoliticsRe: Arabic Script On Naira Notes: Culture Clash Over Nigeria's Rival Alphabets by FriendNG: 5:33pm On Nov 15, 2020
King44:
there is a general Hausa language used in the north why can't it be written in that language

The English could also be removed to rep the three major tribes or more tribes no big deal.

Despite the fact that the Chinese were colonised by the British also India, did you see in English words on their notes.

At least if the proper thing is done it would ensure that yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, etc are taught in basic schools

It is not proper it must be all inclusive, hausas have their ways of communicating before arabic changing it would make them take general hausa language seriously same goes to others
Hausa first alphabet are the arabic alphabet. Hausa started using English Alphabet not more than 50 years ago

Every nation is being rule by its constitution, and it says English, Hausa ,Igbo and Yoruba is our official Language. So what brings Arabic?
Arabic wasn't there it's Hausa
PoliticsRe: Arabic Script On Naira Notes: Culture Clash Over Nigeria's Rival Alphabets by FriendNG: 5:30pm On Nov 15, 2020
Temidayo9:
The argument in court was that, it violate Nigeria constitution which states English , Yoruba ,Hausa and Igbo as an official language of Nigeria. If by any means that you can read or write from any of those mentioned languages, you are literate. But writing something in Arabic language in our National value just to please some set of Muslim who failed to learn their National Language is clear violation of constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria.
The argument is dead on arrival. Because it's written in Hausa not Arabic.
PoliticsRe: Arabic Script On Naira Notes: Culture Clash Over Nigeria's Rival Alphabets by FriendNG: 5:29pm On Nov 15, 2020
King44:
that Arabic inscriptions shouldn't have been there in the first place, and I wonder wey elites, professional lawyers are not suing the gvt for such nonsense

When we have 200 ethnic groups in Nigeria na one Arab alphabet they inscribed on it, if it was written in housa,Yoruba,Igbo and other ethnic languages no problem as long as it represents diversity.

Even English word is not suppose to be there sef Chinese notes and other countries don't use Arabic or English words when they have their languages.

Besides, Nig is made up of three religion so why Arabic n besides watin concern money and religion, it should be removed.
You're not making sense because it is written in Hausa not Arabic language.

Is Arabic a Nigerian language? Why not write it in hausa? If they write in Arabic why not write in French and Portuguese too?
It's written in Hausa not Arabic. It's Hausa. it's Hausa. it's Hausa.

Hausa doesn't have it alphabet, it's using Arabic Alphabets. Later it started using English Alphabets.

Why not write it in Hausa like Dubu Daya. That one na small thin Sha , if only the Arabic signs can make the naira equates dollar.
Hausa don't have alphabet. The first Hausa alphabet was the Ajami (Arabic Alphabets). Hausa started using english alphabet not more than 50 years ago.

Today you know it's Hausa
EducationRe: Islamic Group Demands Replacement Of French Language With Arabic In Kano Schools by FriendNG: 5:27pm On Nov 11, 2020
Empiree:
Are there significant efforts by Muslims against this rubbish?. Although I heard that CBN rejected their stupidity. And the so called diplomats should know better. In America and other western nations they have many languages on almost anything especially medical and even programmed in ATM machines. This is meant to extend communication and understandings not religion. Nigerian Christians suffer from hate and insecurities created by themselves.

Another example is what I read on fb ads. The ads says "help spread the bible in northern Nigeria. It is forbidden to be Christian in the North". This is another propaganda but I don't care. My concern is what Muslims are doing to challenge this bastards. They portray themselves as the victims while they systematically promote their gutter religion. Yes, gutter religion.
Actually muslims are doing very little. They have the upper hand when it comes the media.
EducationRe: Islamic Group Demands Replacement Of French Language With Arabic In Kano Schools by FriendNG: 3:37pm On Nov 11, 2020
Empiree:
they are very stupid. How exactly French helped Kano people?. Bottom line is, Nigeria Christians are very intolerant. Their irrational hatred for Islam and muslims is their problem. This hate has clouded their thinking facility.
And they will be acting as if Arabic is a religion.

In many Nigerian hospitals there are CROSS LOGOS on them. No one talks about removing them. Muslims do not pressured them for removal but they are the ones with religious insecurities and paranoia.
They are gradually and stylishly removing Hausa (Written using Arabic alphabets) on our currency. They view Hausa written with Ajami script as Islamic.

I also heard that they reported president Muhammad Buhari to US and UK govts, that Buhari is persecuting Christians in the country. This is why Trump threw it at Buhari's face in their meeting last year. Christianity is a plague in Nigeria. It is the cause of backwardness Nigeria suffers from today.
And some dumb diplomat will be subscribing to their lies without investigating.
