I'm not being tribalistic here but we all know the north region, don't place importance to male children but to females bcoz of the dowry.
In all the news we've heard, never have I heard that a female Hausa child was kidnapped

They should take care of their male children or at least, appreciate people that helped them take care of their children.

You don't have to lie. The Kano 9 children include females. Their hair was shaved, they were renamed and forcefully converted to Christianity.

There is nothing like middlebelt in Nigeria whether you like it or not.

Nigeria as a country recognize only 6 regions and the below are their official names

1. South South
2. Southwest
3. South East
4. North Central
5. North East
6. Northwest

Middlebelt only exist in your delusion.

The argument here is not the matter of Igbo population vs Yoruba. The issue is their numbers in northern Universities.

Nawooo! grin so out of about 2m nairalanders on this forum, only FriendNG is a northerner? grin cheesy

What is the criteria u used in believing FriendNG is a northerner and others not?

Na 2 day. They (Igbos) have called me Yoruba several times. If your opinion doesn't tally with theirs then you're Yoruba.

The reason they now believe I am northerner is simply because I disagree with Yoruba sometimes. But that's me,I disagree with Hausa also in this Forum.

But I don't understand the definition of northerner to them. So someone in kogi or Kwara (NorthCentral) is from the south?

Yoruba's have latched on the thread to display their innate self. The guy may have used a wrong statistics to prove his point.
But the truth remains that Igbo students in northern universities out number their Yoruba counterparts. Apart from the middelbelters who are much in their numbers also, you'll find a lot of Igbo too there.
Anyone that wants to disprove this should bring their statistics and prove otherwise.

It's not Yoruba rather we the bonafide owners of our own region. There is nothing like middlebelters? Who are they? Are they in the southern part of Nigeria? We only have NorthCentral which includes Niger, Plateau, Kogi, Nassarawa, Kwara, Benue & Abuja.

Secondly you have not prove your claims, but you wanted someone to disprove it.

I have a question for my Eastern bro, abeg wetin Jonathan do for una? I mean infrastructure

In terms of these Universities you're wrong. He did not ignore any region.

The then minister of education Prof Ruqayyatu Rufai proposed that any state without a Federal University should have 1.
So it isn't a matter of ignoring certain region. Federal University Oye Ekiti, Federal University Otoeke

Its delusion. I went to a northern Federal university. At least 40% if not 50% of the students were Ibo. Especially in the thrid and final year groups. No Lie. About 15 to 20 % were Tiv/Idoma. U see a lot of Edo too. Yoruba a few. One truth about Nigeria is that there is one group less interested in Education than the Fulani and that is the Hausa. Those two will start school but between alchohol , chasing babes and the school work, they can't finish. And first class degrees and 2 1s , If you were Ibo, you were guaranteed that because the coursework was so easy.

Now state univerities were different because they had more Northern quotas

Which university did you attend. Let's start from there. ?

Then bring the admission list for each year let's expose your lies altogether. You must show us the admission list where Igbos are 40%. - 50%

Then based on the admission list also prove that 15% - 20% are tiv and idoma.

You fail to mention the percentage of Hausa/Fulani, Youruba and other Minorities? Don't worry I will help you with little maths below. Technically they are 30% going by your analysis.

Altogether in an admission of northern University Igbo(50%), Tiv & Idoma(20%) occupied about 70% of the total number of students admitted.

While the remaining 30% of the admission quota is shared among the Yoruba, Hausa, Fulani and other minority tribes.

Based on your analogy the percentage of the Hausa and Fulani in the 30% (30 - x) will still be chasing girls, drinking alcohol and could not finish the school.

Now provide us with list of Graduate in the school you attended for atleast 3 years so that we can analyse.

You're not even ashamed of the lies you deficate. Even satan will try to bring something more convincible. Secondly since when the Igbos become more holier than Hausa. When it comes to fornication and drinking who are the masters?
Hausa or Igbos?

All you guys understand is chestbeating. I mean chest no dey pain you

Politics / N2.9bn Worth Of Goods Seized Since Nigeria Shut Borders by FriendNG: 9:51pm On Nov 13, 2019
The Joint Border Security Drill, which is also known as operation ‘Swift Response’, has said said it has so far seized items worth N2.9 billion since the partial border closure. The spokesperson of the operation, who is also the Public Relations Officer of Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, Joseph Attah, told the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, in an interview in Abuja on Wednesday.
Mr Attah explained that 47,000 bags of foreign rice and 467 fairly used vehicles have been seized.

He also disclosed that 10, 553 jerry cans of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, and 1,012 drums also containing PMS were also confiscated.

He disclosed that the joint operatives had also arrested 296 illegal migrants at various borders.

The spokesperson explained that the recent seizure and the revenue realised by customs were indications that operation swift response was efficient and effective.

He said that those who could no longer smuggle things in a way that they would evade payment of duties had been forced to re-route through seaports and airports.

He added that such people were now paying duties which explained the increase in the revenue being generated.

“Those who are desperate are attempting to smuggle through seaports and airports like the interception of frozen chickens and meat at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos recently.

“I cannot remember when last customs records such seizure of frozen chickens at an international airport like the way we just did.

“That tells you how effective the operation swift response is.

“This joint operation is paying off because the porous borders that customs could not effectively covered before are now well manned by the joint operatives and we’re going after the smugglers,” he said.

Smuggled through the import doesn't exactly tell us if it was imported into the country or going out of the country.. The report is pretty vague. That a gray area.

Please go back to school and learn English. The Nigerian customs are in Nigeria and when they use the word "import" it means bringing stuff into the country.

Below you will see that the flight left Johannesburg and was intercepted at Murtala Muhammad Airport.

A simple Jss 3 business studies is enough to let you know that goods leaving a country are exports and those coming in are import.

He further stated that the goods were intercepted following the discharge of a cargo from a South African Airways flight 5A060 from Johannesburg on November 10.

....

This he said made it obvious that the importers through their agents have already prepared a pre-release documentation purporting the imports to be fresh vegetables with the sole intention to evade the import prohibition order.

See as y'all jump into conclusions on this thread . Because it was south African airway doesn't mean this has anything to do with South Africa.. We don't know where the flight was headed.. We don't who facilitated the importation of these chickens....let say these chicken are headed to South Africa I'm sure it wasn't imported by a South African..the last place south Africa will import chicken from is Nigeria.. There are no shortage of livestock in SA.. If these were crude oil it would be understandable.. But these are chicken that are headed to neighboring west African countries.

Crime / Customs Intercepts South African Airways With N68.9m Frozen Chicken In Lagos by FriendNG: 6:11pm On Nov 13, 2019
The Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA) Command and the Murtala Mohammed Area Command (Cargo Section), both of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) has revealed that N68.9million frozen products smuggled through the airport due to the border closure policy of the Federal Government, has been seized.

This was disclosed, on Tuesday, at a joint press briefing between the Customs Area Controllers of the MMIA command and Muritala Muhammed Area Command, comptroller Adewale Adeniyi and comptroller Lena Oyama respectively.

It was gathered that 40 cartons of the poultry products were intercepted on a South African Airways flight while 104 cartons were abandoned on the tarmac of the terminal.

Speaking to journalists on Tuesday in Lagos, the Controller of MMIA, Comptroller Adeniyi said the seizure was as a result of the border closure because the seizure was the first of its kinds in the history of the airport commands.

According to Adeniyi, “on the night of 10th November, 2019, following the discharge of cargo from a South African Airways flight 5A060 from Johannesburg, our Tarmac operatives intercepted a consignment which were indicated as perishables, and are therefore qualified for pre-release at the cargo wing.

There is no doubt about that.. if they want Nigeria to remain one, they have to.

Funny thing is the only southerners the North trust is Yorubas. With the support Yorubas gave PMB in 2015 & 2019, it is very obvious they will vote massively for a Yoruba APC candidate in 2023.

This is what PDP will be wary of and possibly field Yoruba too with Northern VP to contest against APC Yoruba candidate. #Politics101

They will vote for Yoruba than others in the south but remove the word massively. Because the Yoruba share their votes in 2015 and most especially in 2019.
