OBJ re-entrenched tribal and religious politics in recent times; he primarily targeted the north central zone (a.k.a. middle belt) in order to dilute perceived northern block vote for Buhari - the seeds of which germinated into the Jos Plateau crisis and to a larger extent and more recently, the present herder/farmer conflict - they had their roots in religious and tribal hatred.

Even though dented, the said northern block vote had largely remained intact as seen in the 2015 and present 2019 voting pattern.

This is not to say that northerners do not have the capacity to vote independently of these considerations; as witnessed when they voted for Abiola at the expense of their own son Bashir Tofa in the 1993 June 12 elections.

The reality on the ground is that southerners are responsible for where they find themselves; if they push tribe and religion as they often do; northerners will always have the numbers and therefore the capacity to beat them at it hands down.

The only way out is for southerners to down plat ethnicity and religion, and instead embrace unity and nationalism, then perhaps it is not inconceivable to see an Igboman or Youruba e.g. as governor of Sokoto, Borno or anywhere in the country - freely voted into office freely and loved by northerners.

Buhari still win with all the lies & propaganda about Islamization of Nigeria being perpetuated in their Churches.

If after 8 years Buhari did not islamize Nigeria then they are all bastards.

We don't have to wait for another administration for the rail to reach Kano. Based on the report submitted to Buhari is that he should start from both 2 ends. Kaduna - Kano & Lagos - Ibadan. Because of fund shortage he started Lagos Ibadan.

Instead of now for him to do the other end, they are trying to continue that of Ibadan to Abuja. Then by the end of 4 years won't have anything.

New Administration will come, the north will ask for Kaduna Kano and all the response that will come from southerners will be why has buhari refused to do it for you. He was there for 8 years. We know what we are doing.

That cannot be regarded. Had it enter another state then we will agree to it. The railway is for Abuja not NW. It ends In the beginning of kaduna for Abuja workers to live there. Had the railway pass through kaduna states as a whole and stopped at Zaria I would have agree with you.

It may interest you to note that the 4th segment of the railway construction will begin from same kaduna (not it boarder with Kano state) but inside Kaduna down to Zaria then to Kano state. Some NW dont even know the rail exist because it's not in our states.

So as far as we are concerned the railway did not cover a single NW states but only a portion of Kaduna to the advantage of Abuja.

Which upper hand? Did PDP win SW? So his people are disappointed in him but SW has no right to be? Who has the higher stake? The president or the Vice president whom plenty of the kitchen cabinet tried undermining?

It's actually a win for PDP because they have 25% in all the states and scores the highest votes in some states. Although APC win generally but not as expected.

Why he didn't perfom as before in the SW is the same reason why he lost his own Aso Rock units and Abuja as a whole. It's why he had drastic reductions in Kano, Sokoto, Kaduna, bauchi etc votes. You should understand it's not poor turn out that's even the problem but rather voting pattern. How southwest massively vote for PDP is the issue.

You ask of Kano & other northern states. Yes there is poor turn out in Kano hence Buhari won with 1.4m against 1.8m in 2015. Which means 400k did not vote for APC. But did the 400k vote for Atiku? Hell no they rather stay at hime.

Why the 400k choose not to vote is because they are dissapointed by the performance of Buhari. He neglect the region infrastructural wise.

You must also not forget it's a contest between a Muslim Northerner and another Muslim Northerner. Again states like sokoto have PDP governor.

This is contrary to what happened in SW. The voters decided to cast for the opposition even when they benefit the government more than any other region. It was never a constest between two Yoruba vice presidential candidates but one. All the states are under the control of APC.
