Please let them release this guy who was only "armed" with shoes. ![]() |
The shoe manufacturer for the recent "shoe throw" incidence between US president George Bush and the Iraqi Journalist,Muntader al-Zaidi says that his Turkish factory has sold thousands of the shoe model- 271 after the shoe throw and complains he needs to employ more workers because the work force in his factory works all night to meet the consumers demand for the shoe. He said:"Out of every bad thing, there will be some good". Meaning he is really maximizing profit, model 271 is just about $35. Thanks to our Journalist Muntader al-Zaidi. . Meanwhile the Shia Leader in Iran asked the Iraqi government to secure Zaidi's shoes in the Iraqi museum as the country's national hero. ![]() Source:www.aljazeera.net/english |

No, I don't think so. |
This is very funny. When me get person wey reject Ipod touch engraved with her name. ![]() |
Riskie:Do you want to wed him or what? . Because I don't know what "Masha Allah" means to a young boy following the steps of the arrogant 50 or Jay-z in the U.S. ![]() |
lucabrasi:I ask the same question. How? ![]() |
I don't know why some people have a great admiration of the life abroad. Like my mum always says:"London is just like Lagos" You hustle your way through and work the living day out of ass even when you're a professional. I have traveled to some parts of the world particularly Europe, but not to get a job. But believe me, Nigeria is not as bad as many spoilers make it. We wont have any meaningful progress if everyone starts to talk against a system that is not believed to be moving. I can never travel to the US to make some bucks, not at the time things are really falling apart. Why must you endure this hardship when I know personally of many Americans who complain about the situation their country? I feel so sick when I heard one guy I know very well traveling to the States (3 weeks ago) to make money. He wants to marry an American for a card. Must you become a slave to a minority controlling the affairs of the States? ![]() Am coming back to Nigeria, but believe me, when people say you come to suffer- I can't but marvel at their ignorance. We need to change the way our country is and the way people think of this country (Nigeria). I know some people suffer harshly, but how do you help the situation when your labor only goes to the selfish, inhumane, and autocratic governance of the US? **I know many will say we are free there*** Free indeed. ![]() |
You know what, I receive lots of them, I only click spam and delete all those junk at the end of the month. The funny thing is I have been too busy to even reply just one of them. But one day I replied one screaming. Bleep off!!!! ![]() |
KarmaMod:Thanks for your advice. I would look into changing some of my ways. |
Muza:Am not a yahoo boy, and would never fall to the level of defrauding others. That's against my principles, while the need to install pipe-borne water and regular electric power is important within every state in Nigeria. Schools would benefit a lot from such an investment (free Wifi). Have you thought of Nigerian Universities such as the one in Enugu (if there is) subscribing to internet services to view academic journals from sites such as Jstore, Google scholar. It would help professors and students advance in their academic pursuits and learn the importance of being original to reduce plagiarized work in Nigerian Universities. It is only Nigeria that you would see people thinking free internet is unnecessary and capital intensive. There are a number of benefits, and you guys come around saying to people who want to effect changes to the system- "you're obsolete". Who could be more obsolete than those you hinder positive development? Just think about making the State- Enugu and all others one of the 21st century. If I say we need to channel the nation's wealth into manufacturing and development, another will say it is too late. ![]() Nigerians when will you wake? ![]() Femi Salawudeen |
steve49ja:Yeah, after the introduction, I did not sit with that other girl anymore. I just went to sit right next to her and we made a chat. Anyway, I sent her a text message yesterday, saying I think she was ignoring me after I made a call in which she didn't answer. She objected immediately by sending an instant message the second after my sms that she was outside her room and her phone wasn't with her. Girls . We talked at length on the phone, but I would see her this weekend to make a self confession on the grievances she has for bobo. Pray things work out well with us. ![]() Thank you all for your concern and support Frizy |
Why do some people love criticizing? Now that there is meant to be a free Wifi service within the State, is that not a form of development? How will Nigeria grow when the majority never see any progress about to be made beneficial? |
PapaBrowne:Please what is so obsolete about these ideas? Nigeria wants to move forward, but can we move when the majority don't have good intentions of making the country developed. I said it is my intention to make Nigeria a superpower, does that sound obsolete? ![]() We are talking about demolishing majority of the houses that do not need the required standards and building state-of-the-art buildings for people to live in at prices that are affordable even for the poor. Where, water, gas, air-conditioning, internet facilities, and constant electricity using wind mill technology is readily available in every home. Is that Obsolete ![]() Tell me? |
KarmaMod:No, but am not the flirty type. Do you then propose that I keep away from other girls I have no intentions towards? Should also keep away from having friends among boys? While I can't tolerate her with other male friends, I think I may be secluding myself if I refuse to talk to other girls. I try to even make her friends with other girls I know would not mislead her. Please, I have done something wrong- when I think am innocent. ![]() |
In the Name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful It is at the peak of my desire to ensure that the degradation of the country Nigeria in terms of the socio-economic well-being of every citizen within the Federation is controlled and reformed to improve the status of our country positively at home and abroad. Nigeria has suffered immensely owning to the lack of developmental insight of past governmental administration and redundancy among the followers of such a government. Brothers and sisters, the continuous outrage that portrays a negative way of thinking among Nigerians about their government has an obvious implication that the people who were elected to power have failed to gain the necessary credibility on their efforts to make the nation developed. When trust is lacking, and when the majority suffer harshly with no deductive outcome of what their benefit is from the government of a nation, then there has to be a deliberation on whether to continue to live that way under the government or consider another form of governance that would serve the people and make them grow. I am impressed about the way the youth within the Nigerian society come out to voice their grievances about the way the nation is being governed. I do not say a revolt is the only solution to ensure that people are dealt with justly but a meaningful cry of the infant is better than the silence advocated by the elderly. At this point, Nigeria needs youth from all areas of life who will sacrifice their lives and property to ensure that the society is changed to become a rival Federation to any developed nation of the world. I implore each and every graduate and undergraduate alike who has Nigeria’s welfare at heart to unite and form a union. This union if established in the proper sense of it would partake at the preliminary stage to helping the poor by providing pipe borne water in villages, water dispensers facilities in major cities within the country, and establishing a media house that hears the feeble’s cry at the point of oppression. Uniting ourselves without the consideration of the tribe, ethic group or social status would help to build a strong network of those who love to do good. It may be of a surprise here, “why must we fix the problem, why should we not blame these men who call themselves our elders?” The answer is simple; we do the right thing for the love of God. Members of the union are meant to represent the new set of politicians within the Nigerian society, educationalist, military and material scientist, Engineers, idealist, economist and jurist who only wish to develop the country to attain a goodly state in the afterlife. Christians and Muslims are invited to participate in the reform for a better Nigeria as long as the rationale between the individual parties opinion are morally and ethically acceptable. The primary objective of this union would be: 1. To lead Nigeria to become Africa’s superpower 2. To establish a new set of political appointees from the youth into the Nigerian government, from positions including but not limited to: Head of State/Commander in Chief/President, Governor, Senator, Chairmen of local constituency in individual states, Military/Defense Secretary and so on. 3. To establish a new economic system 4. To ensure a significant infrastructural development on roads, housing, schools, religious institutions, broadcast media, facilities, and hospitals. 5. To utilize funds from the government to improve the lives of every citizenry 6. To control crimes by establishing a just judiciary institution 7. To manufacture equipment within Nigeria including but not limited to: Fighter planes and tanks for the nations’ defense, electronics, industrial plants and so on. 8. To create a sane Nigeria where people act more on respect of one another, rather than slandering. Mr. President Femi Salawudeen |
ever_green:Thanks bro. I think I would do that, I gave her a call two days but I wasn't so happy on some of her responses. Pretty unlike her. |
Please don't try and diss me because am not really on the defensive. I have been close to one girl now for quite some time. We share a lot in common basically because we agree on issues most of time, and jokingly dismiss what we don't like. However, I have been observing changes (negative of course) like keeping distances nowadays. I have a lot of casual friends among women (please these are not girlfriends) but since the day I introduced her to one of my American friends who happens to be a lady, she just wasn't the same again. ![]() I know I have my faults, and I think I have been selfish in some instances like she following me somewhere, and I saying I got to do something while she asked me to walk here somewhere. But I didn't do this intentionally, it was only what the situation dictated. Now I have always planned to marry this girl, and all other girls I call and talk to don't have that spot I have for this girl. For some reasons, I can't marry an American, but Arab girls are hot! I love this girl so much, what can I do to avoid losing her? |
I just like Nigerians they . . . ![]() |
It was President Umaru Yar'Adua that stirred the hornet's nest at the University of Ibadan when he declared that the nation's premier institution was just a local champion that refused to play the research game at the global level. The President, who spoke through the Minister of State for Education, Hajia Aishatu Dukku-Jibril, during the convocation of the university penultimate week, expressed regret that in spite of its age, the nation's premier university was not rated as one of the best 200 universities in the world. He, therefore, challenged the dons at the institution to wake up from their research and academic slumber and put the name of the university on the world educational map.I don't think the President's statement about UI should result to the anger among students and professors, the simple truth is that we need to work on our universities in Nigeria and change the way they are. We can't be "living with a past, world forgotten glory", if we do, we will never move ahead. No hard feeling. Just check the rank of the best Universities in Africa then compare it to what the world ranking is in UI, is Mr. President's word not true? Osunbor, am just getting to know this guy. How could an ex-governor fall so low by stealing plates and cutlery. . And Yar'adua is considering him as Niger deltan minister or governor. Is it until he steals the street lights, electric meters, and cushions (if any) in that region that this president would consider another man for the job. .Nigeria, you be country. ![]() |

We don't want your barbaric 14th century inhumane laws that were a mere concoction by a self proclaimed lunatic. My heart bleeds with this statement of yours, if only you could see, how Allah would deal with you in the afterlife if you continue this way, you'll not only wish you didn't say it, you will wish you weren't born on earth. ![]() |
Sharia is evil. It is only evil men and women that calls God's law evil. Indeed Allah will ask you to defend your statements, and for surety you will have none to defend you. Amin ![]() |
@Negro_Ntns Thanks for your meaningful contribution, I hope to answer your questions accordingly Negro_Ntns:. Common law. That always needs to be amended one time or the other, typically because it is fashioned by men who derive joy in ruling others. 2. Which school of thought or philosophical theory is that jurisprudence based upon? Philosophers of the men of old e.g. Aristotle who at some point prefer to use their sense of reasoning to create theories that may only be accepted by those who don't recognise anything greater than human intellectualism. Of course we know men tend to err, don't we? 3. Is this jurisprudence the sole legal system adopted by the Lagos State Government in both public and private aspects of life? They are some other jurisprudence such as the customary law, however, the Sharia model cannot be actualized within a society that has other laws besides it. 4. Why is anyone advocating Sharia Law for Lagos State, does this person not find the existing legal system adequate to their needs?Well, Nigeria as a whole is suffering from chronic illnesses- corruption, hypocrisy, fallacies by leaders, thuggery, lack of content, greed and wickedness, thievery and lewdness just to name a few. Sharia in its completeness is not just based on Sharia as in legislation, it has its roots in the political, economic, and social organization of the people who want to accept it. The legal system or constitutional law within the Nigerian society has failed to live up to the masses supposed expectations due to: 1. Lack of respect for the rule of law by authorities in high positions 2. Delayed justice 3. Amendment based on a fallacy within the jurisprudence or favor to members of high position within the society 4. Corruption within the legal cabinet/chambers 5. What needs, personal or communal? In the legal system of Sharia, members of the State own a responsible to protect one another, and enjoin fair treatment of all regardless of tribe, ethnicity, or color. Therefore, every family unit contributes directly to such a society, and the head or caliph in this respect cannot be seen as the "god of the men within the country" like most presidents but as a custodian who could be challenged but any citizen if he failed to perform his duties. 6. What are the alternatives under the existing system to correct that inadequacy? Sharia. 7. What steps have the grievant taken to address the issue and why would they feel that Sharia would resolve what the existing law failed to address? Well, like the poster said, "he is going to tell the governor" that is a step forward. There quite a number of sincere Muslims who share this ideas and have purposefully abstained from engaging in a secular government that honor not God but men. |

. Because I don't know what "Masha Allah" means to a young boy following the steps of the arrogant 50 or Jay-z in the U.S.
