garriAndsugar:All these na stupid small pikin talk. Why una never ves? |
There are many forms of power. Money is a form of power- its financial power. There's intellectual power, there's physical power, there's military power, there's political and influential power, there's spiritual power, there's almighty power. A combination of these different types determines how much power you control. |
MikoB:This right here is everything. Tinubu is the strongest and the wisest strategist in the Nigerian political space. Ignore him or offend him at your own peril. |
aycorporat:That's why theirs is religion and christianity not a religion. That's why you will never hear a christian bombing or killing people because christianity is not religion. If you've not sinned, cast the first stone. You're one of those people that will stone Jesus for turning water to wine because you're righteous in your eyes. If you like the other religion as you;ve said, go and join them...self righteous individual. |
My brother listen very well, I'm married and I will advice you to listen to this: Everything you have mentioned here about her good qualities are what every man should look for in a woman. You will thank God you marry that lady I promise you bruv. Now listen to this, we men are strange beings. No matter how good looking your wife is, you will still feel like having sex with another woman who is not even up to your wife by any standard. It is more dangerous if your wife is not beautiful or does not have ass or breast or has a physcial condition which youre not totally down with. Your carnal body will still hunger for these things in other women. Now I know this because I'm married and my wife is beautiful. Every married man is under this battle every day, but discipline and self control is your weapon. My advice to you now is don't marry her. You see, if you have to seek for advice on a platform like this before you take decision, its because something in you is not validating marrying her and going against that may cause catastrophe in future. You see those good qualities you mentioned are the paramount men should have in their wives, but you see, physical attraction is another big issue. No matter how beautiful your wife is now, that beauty will fade away in future. It is these good qualities in your wife and your own personal discipline that keeps the marriage going. Now if you're already having a problem with physical attraction, please don't marry her. But if you know within you that you will discipline yourself regardless of what she looks like and you want peace in your marriage (which is the topmost of the needs of a man in marriage, coupled with respect which you already mentioned she has for you), marry her. Shalom. |
It is not just going with what the majority decides. Foolishness is doing something repeatedly and expecting a different result. Nigeria needs someone who has capacity to solve the numerous complex problems she's facing (from economy to insecurity, to infrastructure, to human capacity development, health, power and so on or it would be another 8 years of confusion and suffering. This person must be someone who already has experience in the system; he's not going there study but to take action and put things in place the way they supposed to be. You already know who the person is if you will see beyond tribal and political sentiments. |
This is a sad news. All this man knows is to attend parties, functions and travel abroad. He's very dull and doesnt deserve to be re-elected. How i wish the people of Ogun can go for the PDP guy just to let them know power belongs to the people. Thesame thing i want in Lagos state to purnish APC for mis-handling the endsars protest. |
Invitationn:Honestly, you said every word out of my mouth. People applauding him have no knowledge of reality and what global economics is. I was just laughing; sounding so genius in everything he said. Though he's right about the internal utilization of gas and using that to boost our economy but the whole idea that we dont need to build foreign reserve through gas export and it's because of colonized mindset opened up how dumb he is...like seriously? Does he know what it would take for Naira to become a dominant currency in global trade and foreign reserves to start stocking up naira as a global trade foreign exchange. No matter how strong your currency is, you have no choice to stock up dollar. Your currency is only strong within, it would take a miracle to beat dollar in the global market. What's the level of your country's partcipation in the scheme of things globally. That guy should be writing fictional movies...hehehehe. You statement said it all though; he's out of touch with reality. Even China and singapore won't ask for your naira when they see dollar no matter how strong your naira is. |
This guy has been doing some repositioning and rebranding lately. My question is why are all these changes coming now? Where was he during the SARS brouhaha? Why was there no reforming actions like he's doing now? |
"People should know its Amechi coming in as President but they can go and pray if they don't want him"...ok oooo. It is well. |
naija4life247:This guy you be weryey oooo...hehehehehehehe |
WillyWonda1:Now let me say this, you're very lucky. I beg most of you in this same condition never to adopt this method; you will regret forever. That boy that told you one of the rules of power is never to offend the wrong person was very very right. Bosses are in that category and i will say that your strategy paid off ONLY because you're related to the MD...again, your boss is also stupid not knowing this; not knowing that you were the wrong person he wasn't supposed to mess with. However, please anyone reading this, dont challenge your bosses no matter what. Even though he's your enemy, have a plan. Be an enemy too but dont show it to him. Let him see you as weak but strategise and know when to strike hard. The message here is never challenge your boss openly. I've been in the corporate for long and i have never seen anyone that survived it. |
The problem is that you're making it a gender issue. I should apologise also for not saying men. No woman should marry a man that has no understanding, discipline and character. I didnt mention man here because the subject here is woman. In any case, have you read what the man said about their divorce? I dont need to be in their house to believe what was written. Again, i beg of you to erase this gender war mentality from your mind; it would affect everything about you. Dont see anything said about any woman as war. Dont join this generation in that battle. Your mind dictates your happenings and your happeninngs define your life. Shalom. cafolu: |
Dont marry a woman that has no character and who is empty and has nothing to offer. An example is the topic here. Beautiful but empty of character and brain. |
Truth is that peace is an indication of the presence of wits and wisdom. Simple! ScamHunter: |
And those that are not fearful are being killed everyday and running away from thesame land they are protecting. Come and learn strategy from the Yorubas then you will understand. If your true is so wise, courageous and fearless, why haven't you produced a president in the 4th Republic? Why are your people killed and maimed everyday without any headway in your agitations? DoggoneDogg: |
Because it is full of wise people who apply strategy rather than foolishness. Wisdom is stronger than weapons of war and because they are wise people, there's peace. ScamHunter: |
Everything you have said here is 100% correct but I will still rather prefer the North to the Igbos; no hatred involved. I've travelled round Nigeria at my level, age wise, school wise and professional wise and I can tell you authoritatively that the most self centered and tribalistic ethnic group in Nigeria are the Igbos. I'm not clout casing or trying to stir up any resentment, this is the truth. The most nonaccommodating and self centred human beings in Nigeria are the Igbos. humilitypays: |
VTJN:Oh great! Happy for your excellent mind but sad about your position regarding getting a job. I must confess it is not easy in this harsh environment we've found ourselves. Sadly, i dont have any position opened where you may be fixed but please, what was your major? |
I was a church goer, the best graduating student and have the best job in my set.vwgat nonsense are you talking about. Infact reverse is the case from my point of view. I know alot of church goers doing great today. |
africanusvu:I am not responsible for your lack of understanding. If you cannot comprehend and take deductions from my post, i cannot help you. I presume you're a graduate and you know what it means to take an inference from a writeup. If you cannot do this, go back to your school and request for your tuition. It is a waste! |
I'm of the opinion that while you concentrate in building your career, you also take out time to build other areas of your life. For a typical day at work, first thing i do is to take a sheet of paper and write out my plan for the day. So i divide my time at work into 2: 8-12noon and 1-4 pm. My 8-12noon comprises of doing my tasks: responding to mails, executing tasks, attending meetings, taking out time to update myself with news around the world(nairaland has been helpful), when i'm getting bored, do a little of instagram, take out time when its available to read some pages of a book. By 12 noon, i take out time to pray and take lunch. I repeat my 8-12noon in my 1-4pm. Take out time to read not gisting and pleasure always, serve God through evangelism towards the weekend, invest in building great relationships in the weekend, enjoy your life also in the weekend. If you dont want to regret in future, your mondays to fridays must be for you through adequate investment of your time in building your life. Weekend is for serving God and ofcos pleasure. Thanks. |
He has a right to bail until proven guilty. But may he never survive if he's truly guilty of this hideous offence. |
This is what a black man does not put into consideration when selecting leaders. Intelligence and good track record must be at the vanguard of selecting leadership. In Africa we prefer going for someone popular who has no track record of what he has created with his resources, what he has to offer the populace and what problems he has solved in his life. So we continue to circulate people who have not managed their own personal life and resources; has no successful personality or who stole to he to where he is and the suffering continues. May God help us. |
No, the option is not to borrow. The option is to reduce expenditure, increase savings and investments. Monitor and control expenditure and eradicate wastages. Dull leaders are always reacting to manage the economy by borrowing. But wise leaders who doesnt want to eat today and sell the future of their children will borrow and still embezzle what they borrowed and make the future suffer. Moreover, why are we poor today? Because foolish past leaders refused to save the future. If they had invested in building more refineries and diversify the economy by investing aggressively in Agriculture, manufacturing and initiate a zero importation dependent economy, we wont be suffering today. Sadly, foolish leaders of today are still going around implementing thesame foolish strategy of the past leaders; building road rails that has no direct impact on the vast citizenry, implementing white elephant projects. May God help us. |
This attitude and mindset is what has kept Africa behind other continents. Lack of understanding. |
I have even exceeded it. Setting new plans for next year already. |
But i wonder why people are so gullible in this country. Anyone that promises you transformation of economy within 4 years has deceived you. I dont belong to any party and i'm not affected by what is going on in this country. Consult those that are specialists in economy management, it's impossible to fix the economy in 4 years they will tell you. You have many factors that are against you. If you choose to focus on one sector another one will suffer. Again, i can see the gullible Nigerians listening to another liar promising them different appetizing strategies to reinvigorate the economy. They are all lies i tell you guys. See, until we start addressing the main issues killing this country nothing we happen. I weep for the youths of this country wasting their destinies. How can you say you are paying a public office holder 50 million per month. Senators collecting staggering salaries and allowances and you expect thieves not to die for such positions. Note that Nigeria will not move anywhere if you have the wrong mindsets in power. If you have thieves, hooligans, rough and touts as your leaders. You need people that are ready to serve. People that want to make a name not a living. You need visionary leaders that would put structures that will outlive them in place but we still support people that kept us in slavery. I wonder if people are thinking especially the youths. Someone that is not able to boast of any viable business before coming to power now has a mulitibillion Naira building in his state and no one asks how. Well, everything about life is choice. No matter how you pray, if you dont CHOOSE to receive and take the right steps, you prayer is in vain. May God help us all. Amen. |
Islie:It is not about getting a solar plant. Is there a maintenance plan that would keep the integrity of the plant and extend its life. What kind of people are going to be working there? Are we not going to use our unserious nature and approach to get them back to disaster? |
vaxx:It clearly shows you dont know the man Oyedepo. Everything about what he has achieved today were tagged impossible by many. Do you know the events surrounding the building of the tabernacle? Do you know the impossiible feats that surrounded the institution of COvenant University till date? Well, we shall see. |
DO you know what would happen to this country if we have visionary leaders like this in Politics? But our evil nature will never make us appreciate people like this amongst us. |
bot101:Lol...Ok we shall see what happens to this new development. I don't argue. But I feel sad for you people. Ojukwu was wiser than this guy, yet nothing happened. May God help you people. Wait...do you think there's a country on the surface of the earth that will facilitate the secession of another country? Sit down and think about it. Even US will do nothing about this issue. Go and write this down. I won't reply you but I will find you in the next 5 year's and ask how far? Lol. Ignorance is the greatest disease. |
your optimism too; Naira can become a foreign reserve
