I have been a broker, a financial adviser and a Financial technology expert for more than a decade, I was very disappointed to see everyone buying DANGOTE REFINERY IPO and nobody, not even one expert in the field spoke on the implications of owning a share in the IPO.

DANGOTE has read the handwriting on the wall so the decided to go public with his refinery IPO. Now let's look at the reality on ground:

1. Why is DANGOTE going public with the IPO?
I know it is hard to believe but you must understand that after the second world War and the formation of OPEC, The global CRUDE OIL supply became an international product i.e the price of a barrel of crude oil in Saudi or Iran or Venezuela will be the same with the Price of a Barrel of CRUDE OIL in Nigeria. Sometimes there are slight differentials in price but the difference is never more or less above or below $20. So with the war raging in the middle east and has driven the price of CRUDE OIL to over $120/barrel, Fuel at the pump has become more expensive and the war will not stop anytime soon and there is a possibility that we will experience an energy crisis due to fuel being very expensive and unaffordable. There is a possibility that a barrel of CRUDE OIL will hit $500/barrel in 3-4yrs. This is part of the process of phrasing out fossil fuel i.e petrol from being used globally like was done in China and being implemented in the UK. So DANGOTE has read the handwriting on the wall and decided to sell the Petrol refinery to the Nigeria people who ignorantly and blindly rushed it without thinking. Olodo uprising indeed.

2. Will you make profit from the buying into the DANGOTE IPO?
Yes, of course you will. But this is how it will happen; Due to exchange rate differentials, since the war in the middle east and Ukraine_Russia isn't ending anytime soon, it is projected that oil price will continue to go up hence, as oil prices skyrocket and the price of refined oil i.e Fuel at the pumps also continues to rise, you can expect you shares in DANGOTE REFINERY to continue to go up. Basically, as DANGOTE REFINERY SHARES PRICE goes up, cost of living for NIGERIANS WILL GO UP.

3. I see all these content creators and even other Nigerians talking about how they are monitoring DANGOTE trucks and calling DANGOTE, etc
All I have to say is that 99% of Nigerians are olodos. Go and read the agreement, find out what kind of share holder you are and stop disgracing yourselves. When you buy shares in the Dangote Refinery IPO, you become a part-owner of the company, but your role is strictly hands-off. You have no say in the day to day running of the company. #olodouprising.

Crude may be on its way out as an energy source for transportation but it can never be replaced as a major energy input for electricity generation or as a major source for synthesised inputs.

Look at your phone for one minute and just imagine there was no crude oil.

That phone would probably weigh ten times it's current weight and cost 20 times what you paid for

Now look at every electronic device in your surroundings and think of all the crude derivatives that were utilized in making it.

The food you eat so cheaply will be 100 times what it's worth without fertilizers synthesized from crude oil.

The drugs your doctor prescribed for you are synthesized from crude oil.

Crude is valuable because it contains a rich hydrocarbon density that can be synthesized to any thing naturally occuring in nature.

The dyes on your clothes would not be affordable without crude as dyes were sourced from plant flower material.

And for you to even hold the biotic theory on rude formation shows you are ignorant

Crude is not from fossilized bio material but was produced from deep from the earth's crust.

Rockefeller is the one who pushed the biotic theory on crude above what most scientists were pushing which was the abiotic theory.

Rockefeller needed crude to be finite as a resource so as to make it scarce and profitable.

Abandoned oil wells in the Texas oil fields are now springing back to life after decades of running out.

The Russians knew about this abiotic theory since the 50s but that played along with the biotic or rather fossil fuel fake science because it was to their advantage that crude being seen as finite.

The US is abandoning crude because more and more people are realising that it is not a finite resource but one that is constantly being made by the earth

The presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Peter Obi, says that if he becomes President in 2027, anyone importing hard drugs into Nigeria will face a life sentence, irrespective of the person’s status.

Obi made the vow on Saturday during a town hall meeting with NDC members and supporters in Kaduna State.

The former Anambra State governor also pledged to spend his annual holidays in Nigeria rather than abroad if elected president.

According to him, the President should remain close to the people and use such periods to visit different parts of the country, especially communities facing insecurity and other challenges.

NASS passed an amendment for the sentencing guidelines to be life imprisonment for anyone who imports or manufacturers a class A drug.
