Everyone thought Lagos was the most populated state in Nigeria, with the 2006 census, it turned out that Lagos was not as populated as some people would like us believe.

The population if Ndigbo has been underestimated in Nigeria! Even that of the yorubas!. There was a story of an igbo man (sometime ago) saying he wants to form his own village.
You cannot use land mass to estimate the population of a group. If it is done that way, then, Hausas automatically have the highest population in nigeria followed by the yorubas. But you have to be honest here, THERE HAS BEEN NO CREDIBLE POPULATION COUNT IN NIGERIA! Coupled with the population density of the east, they are easily the most populous in nigeria, though there is no evidence because of our corrupt government.

It appears that you do not understand the concept of density.

Pop. density means how dense a population is, which is calculated by dividing actual population number by the size of the land the said population occupies (aka land mass); hence, 7/10 may appear more than 9/ 15 and 10/20, but you would agree with me that 10 and 9 are more than 7.  The Igbos may have the highest population density, it does not tell you much about their actual population number.

One factual evidence does not give you the liberty to generalize. Abiola gave birth to 90 children! Name one Ibo man/couple with 90 Children; yet, I am not using that one evidence to support my claim. You live in UK, but you have not allowed UK to pass through you. It seems that you dont know how to use your brain. I am talking about raw population number, you are talking about population density. The SE has the smallest land mass of the three major ethnic groups in Nigeria. Of course it makes sense that their population density would be high.
It tells you nothing about the real population if the land mass is not the same. The whole of the SW is bigger than the SE.

and finally, they are every where in nigeria. You would see an igbo man in every corner of nigeria . I like that aspect about them though.

Another stupit reply. Yorubas are everywhere un Nigeria. Even, Hausa are everywhere in Nigeria. Every school I have attended there are have been at least 1 or two hausa, even in a very remote part of Ife where I lived for 6 yrs, there were Hausas living amongst us. And, I am sure it is the same in the North.

I think we are getting into a new era in our politics. The new generation, with the advent of technology and education and the pursuit of western ideology and lifestyle, are becoming more politically conscious and enlightened to the point that most can now think independently. And also, what makes people like 'Oloye' thrive so much is that he grew up in an era where very few people were educated and as such did not understand modern way of life; his followers are extremely poor and uneducated, and most people look up to him for direction and guidance. Also, he is rich and Nigeria politics is still at a primitive stage, where people's votes can be bought with mere 20 naira. A lot of people do not know their rights under the government, very few people understand this new form of government and as such they are easily deceived into doing something that may not be in their best interest. In addition, a lot of people have been brainwashed into thinking that there is nothing wrong with selling their votes; after all, that is the only time they get to enjoy the dividends of this new form of government. And in the absence of substantial government impact and presence in the lives of the populace, king makers like Saraki stepped in to fill the void.

And now that more and more people are beginning to understand the process, we should see less of people like Saraki.

And I dont think Bukola is well liked by Kwarans. Very snobbish guy, I have heard. And, it is a predominantly Muslim state, Gbemi would never be allowed to be that influential.

Most have, though IMO misguided, undiluted hatred for the US. Remember that AbdulMuttalab, is just like any other privileged kid in Nigeria. By all accounts, his father is not that religious, and he would have gotten along easily with any other person with the same family background as his from either the SE or SW. He was well exposed; and highly educated. He lived mostly in Lagos, where his father worked, Togo and the UK. To me he is just like any other rich kid I know in Lagos.
