He’s been having bad games for long now. It’s a pity because he’s such a hard worker.

As a teacher, if my students start cutting my classes, it’s a sign of concern to me that I am not doing something right in my lessons and not necessarily the children.
Why won’t they cut class when all they do is copy notes in class from morning till afternoon, 5 days a week? It’s boring!
The school and the teachers need to up their game. Make your lessons interesting. Challenge their intellect. Find out their interests and infuse it your lessons. If your lessons are interesting to the children, they will never consider cutting class.
Make learning more interesting than Naira Marley and watch your students’ interest in learning increase.
Everything is not all about flogging. These children are victims of what they know nothing off.

You must be a very toxic person. Why refer to others as loose and useless because they are not very versed in doing certain things as if you yourself know everything?
This is my issue with people of this part of the world. Someone came online to ask for help for a genuine issue and all we can do is to insult her and label her with unprintable names.
There’s no school out there that teaches about parenting, at least none that I know of. So, when people are making efforts to do better, we shouldn’t insult them or belittle their efforts.

Op, just like some well meaning people had already suggested, you can instill moderation by putting your foot down and ignore his cries. It will definitely be difficult but you just have to bear it. No child has ever died just by crying.
