Do you possess the skills to do online teaching?
It goes beyond being able to teach.
Are you good with zoom, google classroom and a host of other educational apps? Do you know how to use a google form? Can you prepare very nice and interactive slides? Do you have the data to burn on videos? Do you have a constant 4G stable network?
Online teaching goes beyond normal teaching.

To start with: prepare a slide on any topic in maths and send to me in my email. IF it’s good enough, we’ll take it up from there.

It has absolutely nothing to do with whether you can teach or not, the question is, do you know the techniques and possess the skill to do it (online teaching)?

50k from private tutoring which I have stopped.

I’ll encourage anyone that wants to venture into the profession to focus on the online teaching. There are a lot of Nigerian parents abroad looking for our services.

Nice structures but I feel these investments is misplaced. Like Hollawayn05 said on the first page, there’s no visible improvement seen on the people from that region education-wise even with all the heavy investments in infrastructure.
Yes, English is not our mother tongue but it is our official language for crying out loud. So it is for majority of the countries of the world.
I’m thinking that majority of these heavy investments in infrastructure should be channeled to human capital development and training of teachers or more importantly even, converting most of their texts that are written in English to the language they understand and teachers trained properly to teach these subjects in their own language.
If Bibles can be translated to different languages with different versions, why not educational materials?
I feel Northern elites are willfully or ignorantly focusing on the wrong things as far as development is concerned.

These infrastructure are needed more in the South because it’s lacking while human capital development/proper training and adequate educational resources are lacking in the North.

The Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama in the presence of his counterpart from the Republic of Benin granted a Press Interview after a very fruitful meeting between Ministerial delegations from both countries and stated therein [/b]“... the President of Benin Republic said he would like the relations between the two countries to be so close as if Benin was the 37th State of Nigeria".[b]

The Federal Republic of Nigeria has no territorial ambition and has never aspired to make Benin or any country as part of Nigeria.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs was therefore quoted out of context and the general public should kindly disregard the wrong information.

I said it!
We already know. How can Benin give up their independence to become a dependent state?
Somethings don’t just make sense.
This is a low one for daily trust.

Why are we taking what the minister said literally?
What I deduced from what he said is that Nigeria and Benin should be good neighbors, afterall, Benin is like a 37th state in Nigeria given the amount of Nigerians there and the similarities we share.
Not that a sovereign state would want to give up their ‘sovereincy’ to another state. For what na? France sef no go gree make that one happen.
