Tebrao my brother.

Nothing to weep over.

There's roughly 40 months to go.

Bayelsa has always been blessed with great leaders.

From Alams to Jonathan who was elevated to president on account of his brilliant performance in the state, and now Dickson who's been given a second go at it due to his marvellous works in our sight.

Let us continue to ask for such leaders.

It could be worse with that Almajiri party.
Come on bro, you don't kick a man when he is down...

But that was damn funny grin grin

nothing works in that state.. Fools are the leaders... Starting from the governor to all others.. All idiots... angry... Brass lga chairman paid his staff salaries consistently and a meeting was held asking why he had to pay salaries. Can you imagine... How did my people get into this mess. huh The government conniving not to pay salaries...
Absolutely ludicrous. Where are the bloody militants that claim to be on the side of the people? Are they still receiving their amnesty allowance when hardworking civil servants and retirees suffer debilitating poverty?

What do you think is the solution?

I read and reread this ur post, but I swear it still
doesn't make any meaningful sense
Perhaps if your read the article, and understand the difference between the murderous cattle rustlers (robbers) that were killed by the Army, and the Fulani herdsmen that are usually attacked by the rustlers and robbed of their cows, it would be easier to understand.

DIVINE78:
Army is protecting fulanis in the north against rustlers and also helping fulanis in the south to conquer the locals.
doublewisdom:
Protecting the herdsmen and their cattle from thieves but won't protect innocent Nigeria from the same Fulani herdsmen.
Don't be silly, don't you realize these armed cattle rustlers are the criminal herdsmen that have been killing innocent people all over the country?

Doesn't it occur to you that these armed rustlers steal these cows and use them to disguise as Fulanis (herdsmen) in order to perpetrate their crimes?

How can the assumed rampaging, gun totting and matchete wielding Fulani herdsmen suddenly become so powerless that they are easily attacked and robbed of the cattle that they value so much? Where are the AK47'S and sharp machetes that they allegedly use to attack their victims? Did they suddenly disappear upon encountering the armed cow robbers? Since when did Fulani herdsmen decide to abandon their lucrative trade of providing meat, milk and leather for the nation in favor of killing and maiming innocent citizens?

The Army, FG and recently, even IPOB have revealed that the 'Fulani herdsmen' that have been accused of killings are actually BH terrorists and armed bandits in disguise.

If you still have not put the pieces together, the Army has just commenced the war against the armed bandits attacking Fulani herdsmen and stealing their cows in order to use as disguise to perpetrate their murderous terrorist agenda.

May God bless the NA and grant success to Operation Sharan Daji.

And this is a state that benefits from 13% derivation? I was shocked to learn that potable water supply is such a great problem in Bayelsa that some residents get water from the same source that they pass feaces in.

Politics of sentiments is a double edged sword.

Imagine killing our regional and spiritual leaders and even gloating over it, were they expecting a pat on the back? Never bring a knife to a gunfight.

This a real stats for you about the non oil comodities of Nigeria as at 2014. Your comments is typical of a dishonest northerner who tends to pull facts out of thin air.

Look at the source of those commodities. Cocoa alone contributes far more than your region contributes in non oil export trade.
I'm quite aware of Cocoa's contribution and acknowledge it. I'm not here for a d1ck measuring contest, and I'm sure you never heard me claim leather was the largest contributor to Agriculture GDP.

You gave me a link thinking I am a fool lol? Where does it say 40% comes from leather? Gosh, I thought you were better than this.

That link I already provided was for the sectoral GDP contribution. This is for leather: https://www.nairaland.com/1435973/16-million-cattle-contributes-40

Gosh, generating revenues for lagos you said? Where does there taxes go?
You are talking like dangote isn't one of the biggest beneficiaries of the corrupt system ( favourable laws that encourages monopoly). Dangote and northerners contribution to Nigeria is a fraction of what southerners contribute to Nigeria. The money Nigerians abroad contribute to Nigerian is well in excess of $25billion yearly, more than 90% of which are from southerners. Does any of your states men generate anything close to that amount?
We can go back and forth on stats.
@ bolded You were the one that berated emotional babble over raw stats. Don't be lazy, back up your claim.

For some reason, you also imagine Northerners do not reside abroad and generate revenue. I'm typing this from my flat in England and I know the volume of transactions I make with Nigerian banks weekly.

Lol.

Lagos' economic contribution which makes up over 90% of those figures for the SW, is the product of the contributions of all Nigerians including to a very significant extent, northerners. Two of Forbes billionaires are northerners doing business and generating revenue for Lagos.

Agriculture, of which leather alone forms 40% of, trade and services.

Dollyak:
In mathematical terms the gdp per capita of the southern states is so much bigger than the northern states. So effectively, the real population (northerners) might give a higher gdp but it will still fall well short.
All you need to verify this data is to look at the region with the most contribution to the national purse. You can't fight data.
1. Anything per capita is denominated/based on population, so a less populate south is bound to have higher figure than the North as resources are not spread as thinly.
2. The southern contribution to the national purse is majorly in the form of oil revenue, which is a natural resource, and is not a reflection of your economic state.

Don't get it twisted.

I'm a product of a Northern dad and southern mum, who met through the NYSC. A lot of southerners were weaned of their stereotypical views of the North only through the scheme and vice versa. Though it has faced its challenges which are not unexpected in a diverse country like ours, it is an understatement that the scheme has united rather than divided Nigerians.

One Nigeria.

Per capita? Again I can see the effects of poor education in your reasoning. Dangote and a couple of more political thieves doesn't make the whole north rich.
I hope you are not the typical 'best', the north has to offer this country. Anyways, I am sure the northerners are great people apart from their elites.
Miss, the same statistics of northern population which you disagree with, are the same numbers used to measure her income per capita...

So you don't agree northerners are more in number, but agree that they are poorer statistically when their huge population is the basis for the comparatively lower income per capita?

Can you see how ethnic bias can blur clear reasoning ? Darling you know nothing about the spending power of northerners.

Crime › SHOCKING: Men Caught Hiding Indian Hemp Among Biscuit Cartons by fulanimafia(op): 1:08pm On Mar 28, 2016
The efforts of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to clamp down on drug traffickers received another boost as the agency arrested men who drove a truck full of Cannabis sativa (Indian Hemp) among cartons of biscuits and cheese balls.

The suspects who are 27-year-old Iheanacho Chinweuba and 33-year-old Uche Enuosa were both arrested around Odeda area of Ijebu-Igbo in Ijebu North local government area of Ogun State. Their truck which was impounded was discovered to be containing 3,542.25kg bags of Indian Hemp.

The NDLEA boss in Ogun state, Bala Fagge stated that the drug traffickers were bringing in the hard drug for consumption for the residents of Ogun and Lagos states. Bala Fagge said: “A white Mercedes Benz Truck with registration No: Lagos KJA132XN was intercepted at Odeda axis of Ijebu-Igbo, Ijebu North Local Government. “The truck carrying biscuits and cheese balls was found to contain 295 big bags of dried weeds of cannabis sativa weighing 3,542.25 kilograms. Two suspects were apprehended and are assisting in further investigation.” The younger of the suspects, that is Chinweuba is an indigene of Nsiala-Ngwa local government area of Abia state. His accomplice, that is Enuosa hails from the capital of Delta state, Asaba.

They both revealed that they were on a mission to distribute the Indian Hemp in Ogun and Lagos states before they were intercepted. The hard drug was perfectly wrapped and placed at the interior sections of the truck’s container, while the exterior section was filled with the over 300 cartons of biscuits and cheese balls. Chinweuba stated that he was married with kids. He said: “It was joblessness that led me to this. All my hope was on this cannabis shipment because I know that if we are successful, my family would be happy this season. “The cartons of biscuits were to hide the drugs but it is unfortunate that we were arrested and my dream has shattered.” While in Enuosa’s words, he said: “I am a plumber but due to lack of work I decided to drive the truck. I have no savings and the only way I can travel home is to engage in cannabis business.”
