There you go again. These almajiri schools have been a waste on you.

First of all, when the SE/SS alliance was being consolidated, Amaechi was unconsciously but diametrically opposed to it. It was Amaechi that started opposing GEJ, which was against the interest of the SE/SS alliance. It is the same Amaechi who doesn't seem to be constructing railways and commissioning railway stations in the SE and SS territories, which is clearly against the SE/SS interest.
Of course, you will not see the above points.

The SE/SS alliance can choose to reject any Igbo or SS man who seems to be opposing our collective interests.

Of course, the SE/SS alliance will be a little hesitant supporting individuals like Amaechi of the SS, or Okorocha of the SE.
These individuals are clearly from the alliance territory, but their allegiances may not be with the SE/SS.

When it is the turn of the SS to throw up a candidate, if they choose Amaechi over more credible SS people like Odili, Akpabio, Wike, Liyel Imoke, Donald Duke et al, surely the SE will be alerted, and be convinced by the SS that Amaechi is worth a shot. Once an agreement is reached, I am sure the SE/SS alliance will support him.

As for whether Amaechi can represent the SE, clearly he can't as he is not from the SE.

At the end of the day, your votes are only an inconsequential 5%. Remember that. You are smallest minority voters with the lowest turnout. Political liabilities.

Amaechi today, stands a better chance at the Presidency than any Igbo man alive. Fact.

No Almajiri or Osu School can change that.

To IPOB members, Nigeria remains a zoo.

And at no point have I ever given IPOB or Nnamdi Kanu blanket support. I admit that they are raising some pertinent issues which the Nigerian powers that be, have overlooked, causing some Igbos to be antagonistic towards Nigeria.

I am yet to received a fair justification for labeling unarmed IPOB as a terrorist organisation, while hugging and kissing fulani herdmen terrorists. This is just one of such contradictions. But this is by the way.

I believe in the past I did list three categories of Igbos in Nigeria (there may be more)
1. Those that want Nigeria restructured
2. Those that want a Nigerian president of Igbo extraction
3. Those that want Biafra

Try not to antagonize or alienate those that belong to groups 1 and 2, as that is likely to grow those in group 3.
Those in group 3 have already lost hope in Nigeria, hence some of them refer to Nigeria as a zoo. Those in 1 and 2 are fast loosing hope but they think that Nigeria can still be fixed. If you alienate them, don't be surprised if the call for Biafra takes on a more intimidating form by 2023. Igbos make no apologies. I hope you understand that.

To end, let me reiterate that the SW will not smell the presidency in 2023. It is either the SE or (North or SS)

In a nutshell, those in all categories, whether restructuring, Biafra, or Presidency, can only achieve their goals through DIPLOMACY. Blackmail and grandstanding will not work and has not worked, it only ends in tears and further marginalisation.

IPOB/Nnamdi Cownu is directly eroding any chance of that diplomacy especially with their zoo ideology, and as such, are the direct impediments and should be the number one headache of all Igbos regardless of category.

As for SE Presidency in 2023, forget about it. However Presidency is definitely moving south.

I hope that's clear.

With Rotimi Amaechi on the ticket, he will sweep the SS, especially if running against a northerner in PDP.

You are not fooling us if APC ticket come between Amaechi and Tinubu we will support Amaechi over and over again a hundred times

This actually means that Rotimi is the best candidate for the APC ticket, since he can sweep the south and get majority votes in the North especially with the backing of President Buhari, while giving the SE a sense of belonging that will foster and promote national unity.

This therefore adds credence to this thread and the OP's postulation.

All hail the Jagaban of Borgu Emirate, Niger State.

A trusted ally, a political bulldozer, an indefatigable strategist & politician extraordinaire.

We will handover power to the South in 2023 in the interest of national peace & stability, and every bright mind with any semblance of political IQ already knows that Tinubu will not run for President in the next elections for several obvious reasons, but will be VERY instrumental, alongside our darling President Buhari, in choosing PMB's successor.

Things will get clearer as they unfold but keep in mind that in this Nigerian politicosphere, the more you look, the less you see cool #Osibanjo #RotimiAmaechi

On point 100%. The reason Igbos are huge fans of political blackmail is because they know, aside from all others agreeing to 'dash' them the Presidency, they can never win a Nigerian Presidential election against any non-Igbo today because they have burnt their bridges many times over and turned them into ashes and dust.

So many brilliant posts on this thread.

In 2023, both parties will have no choice but to give their tickets to Igbomen, same way it done for Yorubas in 1999 for peace, equity, justice and fairness to reign.
However, if peradventure you guys decide to sabotage it, then you will be handing the presidency to the North on a platter of gold.

This will never happen. The Yoruba, unlike you, never called their country a zoo, their president a clone, or continuously rained insults on the rest of the country for 5 years and counting before they were conceded tickets of the two major political parties at the time.

So now you want sudden favours from the "janja_weed" APC after all your antagonism and rejection over the years? Lol.

The imminent harvest of the fruits of your seeds of hate in 2023 is the equity and justice, and not giving our presidential ticket to an undeserving section on a platter of gold.

Pre-2015/IPOB, your fantasy might have been considered, but right now we would rather have two camels as candidates than to have what you suggested.

It is because the existence of Nigeria as a united nation is hinged on power rotation between the North and South, and both parties know it.

Let me give you a task and I want you to undergo it diligently.

From now on, try to frequent northerners discussion on social media about Tinubu and see the vast support he enjoys from them.

Who will defeat Tinubu or Osinbajo with a majority vote margin in the North? Atiku?

What is the total vote Atiku ever had since he has been contesting elections in Nigeria? How many percentage of votes has he ever won in the North? What is his political worth in the North?

Buhari is the only one that enjoy a mass followership in the North after Ahmadu Bello. Buhari consistently got millions of vote since he started contesting in the North even with mushroom party. Besides Buhari in the North, currently no other candidate can get the kind of vote like Buhari in the North. If Buhari supports a Yoruba candidate in APC in 2023, I can tell you the candidate will perform better in the North.

The North are not hateful like the Igbos and the Yorubas will approach them as allies and not necessarily emotional tantrums.
Do you know how many of those Northern governors are Tinubu allies?

Personally, I want Osinbajo to contest because he stand a higher chance of winning more than 85% of Yoruba vote and will have a good margin in the NC and SS too. Then we just need to pick a good vice (Zulum) in the core North and get some percentage there to crown it.

Very wise submission.

You can only amend the constitution with a 2/3 majority vote in the National Assembly. To do that, you have to convince your representatives to move a motion in that regard, and then lobby for the required support for the amendment.

This is why the biafra referendum remains an audio pipe dream because instead of trying to legally amend the constitution to allow a referendum, the secessionists tread the path of blackmail and bridge burning instead of building to get the required votes to allow amendment and the referendum they dearly seek.

A Force Majeure is simply a rebellious attempt to subvert the democratic process of constitutional amendment as stated above, and often comes with avoidable unwelcome violent consequences. A force Majeure is literally defined as irresistible compulsion or superior strength (e.g what Ojukwu thought he had until he realized otherwise & fled to Ivory Coast in women's clothes) or an "act of God".

Don't be deceived and do the right thing.
