PMB will end up doing more for the SS than a dozen Jonathans could ever do. I've said it that Tompolo might end up leading PMB's next campaign in the south.

UncleJudax: For the sake of argument, apart from Buhari (military), the likes of Tambuwal, El rufai et al, have always been there.
The north have either occupied the first or second position since the return of democracy, 1999. True? false?
I am not bothered by any of these, my only concern is with people celebrating political appointments (great feat huh), which have never had any positives in their lives.
For what? Just because the beneficiary comes from their region, tribe etc.
Very myopic, to say the least. First of all, it is wrong to assume the appointments won't have any effects on their lives. What then is the function of government? Secondly El-Rufai was one of the best FCT Ministers in our national history, Tambuwal had a succesful tenure as Speaker, and PMB has an indelible reputation for integrity and is steadily proving his worth in governance. Has Gen. Buratai's appointment not become a thing of joy for those suffering from the insurgency for instance? Those hostages that have been released certainly think so. I understand if the past military regimes and corrupt PDP governments have informed your stance on this issue. However my brother, people have reasons to celebrate when merited appointments are made in a responsible government. |

UncleJudax: Yes, poverty exists wprld over. However the poverty in the north is termed, Abject...look up the word.
Oh please, military or civilian, northerners have always been well represented in every government ever constituted in Nigeria...who doesn't know this ?
No matter how lopsided, I hold no grudge, never, my posts attest to that, in fact we are on the same page on how to maximise the dividends of democracy.
I lived in the north for almost a decade, it is only right that these appointments improve the lives of the citizens and not only the elites. You cannot justify your assertion that jack-booted soldiers that were in government to loot and loot more were representing the interest of northerners just because their name was Col. Sani. How do you think we got hooked on oil at the expense of our resources? Why do you think our national economy is not diversified? It is all because of lazy, cerebrally weak and visionless military governments, so it is unfair and borders on insanity to imply that those selfish soldiers were representing their people. Now you are seeing real northern leadership with the likes of PMB, El-rufai and Tambuwal. If the North remains the same after their tenures, then your assertion that northerners have dominated government without commensurate development, would be valid. |

Mynd44: I do believe and hope the PDP will settle this ish...these workers are humans with families and they are about to be sacked while those not sacked will have their pay cut not a good thing.
As for the PDP falling, I hope they don't oooo. Nigeria needs a good opposition party, KOWA cannot provide that so the PDP should sort out their issues The PDP seems fundamentally flawed as a party. 16 years of impunity and corruption has permeated its fabric and only a transformative change can rescue that party. It created an ecosystem of fraud and lawlessness which enabled it to thrive, but that system is falling with PMB's emergence. All in all, I agree a virile opposition is needed. |

UncleJudax: Hahaha. It is not as though I was gonna man a position in Buharis's govt. Why would I have the need to console myself? Lmao!
You guys love living in denial. Abject poverty in the north is of course not your concern. Has anything really changed? Hasn't it always been about the North, since 1960?
I repeat, these positions do not translate to development. If they did, Nigeria would be a different place altogether. I know it, you know it.
However, for some reason you prefer to play ostritch. Hehehehe. Goodluck And what about the poverty in the east and and SS? Only a lunatic will expect that holding government positions will translate to wealth for all citizens. Is there no poverty in America? The point is that there will always be poor northerners and poor southerners regardless of who is in government. The fact is positions in government attract development in a responsible government (not the military regimes you deceptively call northern governments), and of course policies that will favour such regions will also be enacted, especially in the Nigerian context where quotas exist and are bent at will. |

UncleJudax: In reality, the majority of Nigerians, regardless of geopolitical zone, tribe or religion, are the 5%.
Politicians are what they are, politicians.
That the North have always been more than adequately represented in every central government hasn't changed the situation in northern Nigeria. Political appointments/ positions are different from the will to perform.
You guys gbadun pettiness. Self consolation 101, wailers take notes. |

Between OPC and other militants stealing crude from the pipelines Jonathan gave them license to protect, and Diezani starving the refineries of crude oil and diverting it so that their fraudulent and evil oil swaps and offshore processing agreements can continue.... How then were the refineries supposed to function? Good riddance to the economic saboteurs. |

The fall and fall of a party that once boasted of ruling for decades.
While they were witchunting the APC when they were in power by invading their offices under the guise of national security, the APC led government clearly does not need any such flimsy excuses to put forces on the ground inside the PDP Headquarters. |
