SAD BUT TRUE;

“I remember I played against Manchester United
for Newcastle they could score at every moment
in a game, Here they did not have the big chances to score. Wayne Rooney had a free kick in the 1st half and that was about it. Yes they are a big club and yes, they can keep the ball, passes, passes, passes, but if you work hard against them and stay in a good shape they can’t do anything to pass through you or be adventurous.”

Yohann Cabaye of crystal palace (daily mail football)

“That’s the way they are set up, they prefer to keep the ball for long periods. They want to keep it away from you. But that means they don’t create as many chances or threaten you as much as they did in the past. The quality is still there, so you have to stay on your toes. And rather than come at you like they used to do, they try to move you from side to side and try to wear you down. But they didn’t have too many chances and we should have won.”

Scott Dann of crystal palce!

Cristiano Ronaldo has expressed his love, respect
and gratitude for Manchester United and his
former team-mates in an interview with The
Times. The ex-United winger accepted that the
Manchester-based club played a huge role in his
overall development.

The Red Devils signed Ronaldo from Sporting CP
for a reported sum of £12.24 million in 2003.
Gradually, the lanky winger developed into a
world-beater during his time at Old Trafford. He
credits his former team-mates Paul Scholes,
Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs for the help they
lent him to become the player he is today.
"Manchester was a huge education for me,"
Ronaldo told The Times. "There were guys who
always arrived for training one hour early.
Scholes and Neville were incredible examples.
Neville was the most professional player I saw.
This is why these guys played in the top level for
10 years.

"People like Giggsy, too. I learnt from them. I
would go to training early, too. I would do
exercise, strength, abdominals, core: many
things. That example from the older players, I
took it.

"Sometimes, you try something different and you
say, 'Ooh, if I do that, then the ball is going to do
this'. Everything was a lesson for me at that age.
Being at United taught me to train hard all the
time. To eat properly, sleep good, recovery
sessions, everything. You have to dedicate
yourself 100 per cent."
Sir Alex a great human being: Ronaldo
The Portuguese spent six years at Old Trafford,
and one figure who will always stand out for him
is Sir Alex Ferguson. Time and again Ronaldo
has reiterated his love and respect for the ex-
United boss. The Real Madrid star told in the
interview that SAF taught him how to make
decisions quickly.

He said, “I learnt a lot from Sir Alex, too. One of
the terms that I still remember today is 'decision-
making'. ‘You are great, but you don't have
decision-making. Pass the f***ing ball.' He
always told me that. 'Cristiano: pass the f***ing
ball.' I still have contact with him. He is a great
guy, great coach, great human being."
Ronaldo eventually left Manchester United for
Real Madrid in 2009, for a transfer fee
worth £80 million, which made him the most
expensive footballer, up until the Los Blancos
spent £85.3 million on Gareth Bale in 2013.
Ronaldo should stop with all these butt kissing epistles abeg! If he wants to come back he should just tell his agent to make shite happen! @ least we can all enjoy 3 solid years of jogo glory together before his eventual retirement @ 34!

I was a guest at a party organized by one of the bigwigs as far as politics is concerned is in the country.

We were doing our thing........drinking expensive wines and dancing to music by some of best Nigerian artistes when suddenly a big coaster bus drove into the expansive compound with two police escort vehicles.
We were just wondering who the passengers were only to discover that the bus was filled with young girls.

The oldest among the girls should not be more than 23....I believe most the girls were sourced from secondary schools. I came to understand that some of the Aides to these big men normally arrange for these young girls on the instructions of there Principals whenever they want to host their friends.

The Oga on whose compound we were partying just came out and selected some of the girls and took them inside. He then said to us "Guys pick anyone you like and go enjoy yourselves".

I was not able to sleep throughout that nite.....These are men who have daughters of the same age with the ones they are sleeping with.
These are men that most young people see as role models.

I lost my respect for these so called "elder statesmen" that nite.
Erm...my guy! As long as none of those girls were under 18 years of age then you have no reason to come here crying over spilt milk! They are adults and as you know "an old cow prefers to eat freshly grown grass"!

TIDE IS TURNING IN THE MEDIA FOR GAAL:

"They are playing in a very methodical and
purposeful way, and trying not to lose games,
but you need more than that. People talk like Manchester United were in a terrible situation when Van Gaal took over that they had to get back from. They only had 1 bad season. This wasn't a team that had struggled for 3 or 4 years and then had to try and rebuild. This transition is
expanding and expanding."

"The whole of Van Gaal's time in charge will be a
transitional phase now because they're not
going to get back to where they want to be
under this manager the way he's doing things.
They'll be in the top 4, will they win a
trophy? I don't think so."

"Van Gaal should also take scholes views on board. Scholes is right, what Manchester United are trying to do is not to lose games rather than win them. That's not really what people want to see. People want to see more flair, ambition and gambling going on from Manchester United."

"Van Gaal came back at Scholes on Friday and
almost said 'you haven't got the right to
criticise'. Why? Paul Scholes has got every right
to say what he said. He's a season ticket holder
at Old Trafford, a legend, he's a fan and one of
Manchester United's greatest ever players. I
agree with him."

"I think it's been embarrassing, He has been so
condemning of the officials. That for me is more
damaging to the football club than some of the
results. It tarnishes the club's reputation that Abramovich has been so determined to uphold. It surprises me how Mourinho has weathered that storm as some of his paranoid comments are ridiculous and embarrassing".

"These ridiculous and embarrassing outbursts
have to be reported by the press. Jose is
writing his own headlines and writing his own
death warrant".

"That's the long and short of it. This ridiculous campaign he has against the FA, referees and Wenger, is just embarrassing. The sooner he stops wasting energy on believing that everyone is against him, he can use that energy to much more positive use.".......John Cross ( the mirror)

"I think there is real concern on the board that he can't turn this around. Part of the problem at Chelsea is that people are concerned about him and about how he's coping with this. He's lashing out left, right and centre. The interviews yesterday were ridiculous".

"Because he has now talked so much about things going wrong, referee decisions, conspiracy theories and the whole world being against them, he's almost given the players an excuse."......Jason Burt........( daily telegraph )

satisfaction when I set up one of my team-

scoring one is the same thing.

People have to understand that I am not PSG's saviour and nor can I make the team win the Champions League on my own. I'm here to help, to add my own grain of sand. There's always going to be criticism but sometimes people criticize just for the sake of it because they get a kick out of it. Criticism can be damaging especially when you have only just arrived at a club and have just put in 3 or 4 good games.

I scored against Malmo in my first Champions League game with PSG and everyone was raving about it. Against Madrid, things didn't turn out so well and there were a million criticisms. Sometimes there is more criticism than is necessary but you have to adapt to it. A lot of things happened to me while I was at Madrid and I had to overcome them. I ended up winning major trophies and I hope the same thing happens here with PSG."

VAN VOLTRON?

“Players are human beings and they want to score goals but maybe they want it too much and maybe then the choices are not always good."

“Maybe Rooney is doing too much, because you never know as a player how you can improve your shape or your finishing. It can also create a lot of doubt and I try to influence that."

“But it can be too hard and then your mental
state shall be a little bit less and that has an
influence on everything and that’s the most
difficult thing as a manager and player to cope
with."

“When I was manager of Bayern, the striker was Gomez and he touched the ball 9 times on an average in a game, the highest 14

how the balls are coming to him, how he decides, how quick he is in dealing with the situation.”

Why do you analyse football like this?

Watch when Countinho does his magic and see how many Liverpool players are within 5 yards of him and how many are within 5 yards of one another.

This is a structure of attacking football. They all move forward as a unit and defend as a unit, making simple passes very easy to make and therefore Coutinho able to create magic.

On the contrary watch what happens when Hazard receives the ball and how many players are within 5 yards of him. 90 percent of the time, only Willian is. Both players are overloaded. What do you want from Hazard? To dribble everyone from 60 yards? Or Willian and Hazard to keep doing one-twos until they reach the edge of the box and hope they don't lose the ball?

Jeez, look at forking Ramires in midfield and look as snail as Mikel in midfield. How do you sustain an attacking moment when your midfield is shit?

You don't analyse players like this bros. Plus Hazard is not only what is wrong with this team. I mentioned at least 4 different tactical errors.
