manipulate the scores of ielts and see the difference , how just 7 in listening can be 425 and 8 can be 475

well i believe even if you are on vacation theres a permanent residence you go back to when vacation ends. I filled all addresses i lived in and not vacation spots, how would one even remember that. besides you didn't live there. So my suggestion is to just fill every address you lived in from the recent to the oldest. In your travel history however, any stamp in your passport has to be explained so any trip you took out of Nigeria should be include, make sure you match the dates of entry and exit accurately. My 2 cents.

Hello guys sorry for the late reply, i believe this question as been answered just to add use address where u lived more dan 6months or more likely any country where u will have to do a police report ..u definitely need a permanent address there.

Is an applicant supposed to provide reference letters for all job positions stated in the work history in the last ten years ( irrespective of the noc code i.e 0,A,B,C or D) or for just the qualifying job.(with noc code 0, A or B) ?

noooo when you are get your ITA , you will see the references you need to upload , just the ones u got points for..its a point based system.

was your job a full time job ? or it was an agency. Personally i think getting this references is your right . If you worked there, the CIC format is not out of this world. Just your Position/Job Title , number of hours you worked weekly or daily , salary and so on..nothing special at all.

My advise to people in this category is to persist a bit , and if nothing changes get the best they can give you and do some form of letter of explanation. Like for me I was so lucky i even used nysc experience, there was no stamp but it was a letter head paper . I asked for my supervisors complimentary card . And I attached it to the reference letter , After getting my visa I found out cic did not contact any of my supervisor ..as long as the story you are telling makes sense. dont say u are an IT consultant and the job duties looks like a Network engineer just some added advise.

Yes Boss Acknwoledgment of receipt was November 21
got passport request December 29
infact the visa was created december 28th ..it was issued.
And vcole didnt use up to three months either

1) i asked here and someone advised to scan all pages including the finger print and passport photo attached side
2) I think i answered this earlier, reference letter written in ircc format would suffice, anything else such as payslips or ppa letter are supporting and not mandatory. as fusion23 advised, do not submit your discharge certificate.
3) Weird, seeing as you wrote your exam in 2017. Write the date on your trf.
4) Get your medicals done here, its cheaper....I think dupyshoo answered all of these medicals questions earlier and boldinc put up a post of qlife's price list and contact details, you can call them for further questions

I think pay stubs help , I wrote a letter of explaination for this and i believed it helped.

I totally understand you... What I meant was that I would be uploading data page of Canadian passport instead of PR card that Fusion uploaded.

I would also be adding utility bills and birth certificate.

Quick question tho... Linked in profile shows all past working experiences, but we claiming only one in eAPR cos of stress of getting reference letters tho all the info are in personal history... Could this pose a problem? @Fusion23... Did you claim experience from all the places you worked?

I only have two work experience I claimed points for , like when i was studying i did part time jobs ..i didnt add them to work experience or even work history..dats just my case thou..u cant study full time and work according to them

Just a little hint dont knwo if this will help , after i got my passport request just after one month i was scared because it was to early .
After I sent my passport a week later i ordered the GGMS notes : Luckily I already got my visa,
The GGMS notes are out about 189 pdf pages with so many repitions:

The process moved fast from accra office to London office

so may be luckily schooling in London helped, cos it was london that gave the final approval

without giving so much away just an hint

You cannot get USD from travelex before the day of your trip because you will have to go with your boarding pass and you only get your money at the boarding gate just before you board.

Infact, i didnt get my money till we were already boarding. I had to meet their staff halfway to collect the money and ran back to board. Almost missed my flight.

Also make sure you have your BVN card ready. They won't sell to you without it.

Was at Access today fiiled the pta form and they ewere like 50 percent bla bla bla ..and its a card they give to be so just hoping ..they said few days before my departure....so travelex gives u cash abi? also how do u pay a large sum to travellex ..cash or pos ? cos savings can withdraw more than 1m a day

It was for another trip. Stanbic gave me at #400 to 1USD. Travelex gave me at #377 to 1USD. Note that this was 3 months ago.

dont worry boss your application will fly , you have already submitted ba?
may be not one month like mine..am guessing 4 months, lots of people get passport request after 4 months
at all, at all less dan 6 months so just enjoy naija and the change before u leave.

You can either get PTA from banks or Travelex. It's a long thing, so brace up. Only few banks give and with special conditions. I was able to get 2k from Stanbic some months back with plenty wahala and another 2k from travelex.

Please what was the rate.....have you landed in Canada already?

I selected unemployed from the drop down list for any period in between jobs post graduation.

I can remember this ..when they want your activities for the last 10 years or since u were 18

so please no gap for example mine

December 2012- Jan 2014 Masters uk bla bla (studying)
February 2014 - April 2014 still in uk no job preparing to come back to naija (unemployed)
May 2014 - June 2014 Back to naija now looking for job (unelmployed)

july 2014 - till date job in naija (work)

so please no gap ..it has the format either you were working or studying ..and give small explanation as u seem fit

so the reference be like CV ..dont just out one or two bullet points.

@vcole Please can I send you an email of my reference I just collected from my hosp where I did internship... wanted to show you the method, they employed in showing my job title (house officer) and also my job duties.

Also, they didn't use the word 'fulltime' anywhere. I have payslips + employment letter as well.

My second issue is with my NYSC year of experience. do we get reference from the PPA (hospital) and add NYSC certificate? I am wondering if anyone used NYSC before and hope CIC don't get confused.

I used NYSC please please dont add nysc certificate and make life difficult follow the instructions if u have ITA..Instructions letter head the job duties shud match , if possible Complimentary card bla bla

They wont be contacted when you claim a relative in canada..you upload two addition files ..
first is proof of relationship..you can merge both your birth certificate showing same Parent Name

then proof of status the persons pr card or passport bio data

Ok everyone lets do this first of all am not immigration officer so i cant say except for luck..and may be everything went fast.

I contacted my work reference people and they said no verification sef.. thats the two reference i used.


SO NOW FOR THE HINTS.



1 Be favored by God ..i cant even rule that out I prayed for this.

2. Let ur documents meet specification

3. Pay all the money once the right of fee and bla bla ..its easy for me to say cos my broda in canada paid for me.

4 Use letter of explanation when not sure..i used nysc reference no pay slip ..i put a letter of explaination.

summary please please follow instructions

lets look at the instructions for proof of employment i have put the picture..now if u read and read well , then u still ask must the letter be on a letter headed paper? Well i dont know
in summary never give them one reason to doubt your application.if not na verification again..from whatg i noticed every application withing one month is on background check..or most ...and in three days medicals shud be passed already...

SO other factors have

good travel history

have a relative in canada you dont get any point for this...but it makes ur application fly

now look at the instruction for proof of employment again

then have added jara..with all the documents i sumbitted..
hope i didnt give out much perosnal info
