Btw, I've done my interview... It was rigorous and tough but to His Glory I received a mail from them to fund my account on the 2nd day after interview.

Here's the issue, I've mailed (regular mail) two different Block Account Opening Form on two different occasions to the DB apart from d first one I sent via the Embassy.

The first ever response I got from DB after almost a month I sent d form via the Embassy was after I mailed them complaining I've not received my account details. To which they responded that I filled an outdated form as a result my account won't be opened. Why wasn't I informed earlier so I could do something about it but nay, I had to mail them to get that response...

I sent them another form, they responded after about 5 working days, saying it can't be opened again because I didn't tick if I was born in the USA (even though I ticked I wasn't a US Citizen).

I sent yet again, a thoroughly and completely filled form which I examined for hours before sending it again via DHL. I even had to show many of my colleagues to help me cross-check just to be sure I did it correctly this time to avoid stories that touches.

My e-family, it is 3 weeks since I sent the last form, no news from DB. I sent my brother to their office in Hamburg (where I sent my form to), he met a brick wall ( he said that place is an enclosed office, no form of banking activities i.e customers/staff bank activities. It is strictly for their staff.)

Having met a brick wall, he had to channel his inquiries to his own branch (he banks with Deutsch Bank). He was advised that I send a mail to the department responsible for d Block account (which I've done twice with no response from them). Again I tried filling non-customers contact form on their website but it was saying my Date of birth wasn't available (probably on their data base or something).

I place a call to my brother, I also gave him a number I got from DB website, so he could talk to them directly this time... On calling them, he dropped my details (My name & DoB) to them. They responded that my info wasn't on their data log. I became perplexed... Mind you, I was hearing all the customer agent was saying because my brother linked me up on phone immediately he got connected to the agent. After all the explanations brother was giving to them ( I was supplying every other personal info as regards my ordeal with DB the agent was asking him which he doesn't have) and at the end she said I should send them another form again.

Like seriously, how could a Bank be this unethical and indesciplined to the extend that a renowned Courier company like DHL will deliver a signed package to them and it won't be recorded and as a result got lost or something... Am beginning to question the competency of some DB staff most particularly the person that signed and receive my form when it was delivered to them.

House Pls, what is the way forward? Is it really possible that such thing could happen... not having my info in their data log. What of the first mail they sent me that I didn't tick 'if I was born in USA'? Does it mean it isn't on their record that my form had been worked on before? What has gone wrong... is it that the customer agent didn't understand the complain or my brother didn't relay the info comprehensively to him/her?

Pls I need advise on what to do. Sending another form what is d guarantee the same thing won't repeat itself again. This would be the third time if I should send them another form. It is really heart-aching to think that someone's incompetence is causing me this untold problem.

Maybe you sent it to Lipzip cos all account opening is now processed in Hamburg DB office. Lipzig has been discontinued and Hamburg is now in charge as the address can be seen on the new application form.

Oga, please first of all clear your case too before "poknosing" into another man's case. The issue of futurewiser and futurewise11 is still fresh in our memory. Why will you run someone down like this as if you are the VO or you are working in alien's office or you are God. We have heard and read about someone that received the mail without funding on this same platform. As a matter of fact, this guy (Avicola) and I had our interview the same day, only two of us are there for student visa interview that I know of. His debacle started at the gate when he signed at the back of questionnaires instead of the proper application forms. The security chief (aka igbo) man had to give him another application forms to fill and signed( 1st favour). When we entered, we have some chit chat, I asked him if he knows about nairaland, his username before I revealed myself too. He had his oral interview and test before me; I was right there. After his interview and test, we discussed everything that transpired during the interview cause it took little time before his passport was returned back to him and a long stretch before I was called upon for mine. He left when I started my own interview because the VO told me to ask him to go; else, I guess he was planning to wait for me. During our discussion after his interview, he was discouraged because of what transpired; to the extent that the VO told him that he just want to use the opportunity to enter Germany; that he is not ready to study in Germany at all which prompted the VO to give him test which is not common for an Msc student. He said he didn't complete the test too which brought about some kind of discouragement to him. He tarted talking about the possibility of going to South Africa because going through the southy embassy has little stress unlike German embassy that will ask questions upon questions and later test. I encouraged him within my best ability and asked him to believe that with God, everything is possible. He has already paid for accommodation, I saw the receipt and it seems he said his course/school coordinator has also contacted the embassy before the interview regarding the timing or something which I can't really remember again. I believe this family will remember his post here on the day of the interview, infact, he has given up on the Germo matter going by his post on the day of the interview. I and other people replied and encouraged him on this same platform. The records are there for you or everyone to see. Now why would someone that has given up on something come back to this same thread to lie about getting visa if he didn't? What do you think he will stand to gain in telling lies of getting something he didn't get? What will the whole house stand to gain from it if he is telling lie? When has it become a crime to follow,comment on other travel threads or have plan B? you shouldn't have concluded that way bro. Even if he is telling lie about getting visa mail, who will be the major beneficiary on this platform? It will only look like someone that planted 10 tubers of yam but lied that he planted 100. When he has finished eaten the real 10, he will surely eat the fake 90. In a nut shell, I don't see reason why he will lie about something as big as this. Finally, if I were you@Avicola, I will just copy part of the mail sent by the embassy and paste it here for the doubting Thomas to see. Accept my congratulations. Shalom.

We have to be sure and confirm that you honourableseyi is still not the same person as Avicola with different username to camouflage before we can believe your bulky story cos we have seen one person posting in different usernames on this thread. Pls keep your story for another day.

This Jesus is kind, this God is wonderful, he answers prayers. I just got the mail to come to the embassy to get my visa with a three month insurance and my passport.
Imagine , I haven't even funded my account. Imagine, I felt I didn't do well at all, prayers changes things. God bless you all , honourableseyi is a witness to my interview. I had my interview on 22nd september, this makes 10 days and not even 10 working days.

You can deceive the full house but not me. I am intelligent to refuse this attention seeker's post here. Here are some of your post on south Africa thread recently and 30th September. I know how careful and efficient Germans are and your visa cannot be approved without proof of financial means. Even if Embassy approved mistakenly, remember foreigners office too will review it. Applications without prof of financial means are marked incomplete online and sent as ''incomplete'' For your information not only one VO reviews your application before it is fwd to Germany for further review and approval. Please go back to your south Africa thread and stop seeking attention here. I wonder why people will just behave like this ,,, smh...

I have not used it but know about 5 guys that did and they all got thier visas though a little bit more time consuming to process than those using block account so estimate 4 weeks of your interview but maximum 5 weeks your visa will be out from experience

That is not true. The only hurdle you have to cross is getting to C1 proficiency level, if you are to apply.

it can be waived with the help of a lawyer from Germany stating why u cannot get up to c1

Guten tag to all d men them in d haus, I av a really down spirit writing on ere today, was at d consulate earlier today as I was told to come frm d mail I got last wk. I thot I was goin to write a test as d V/O had told me last wk when I had my interview, but to my dismay I was handed a refusal letter with d reason for not having sincere intentions but I can appeal it. And on the letter I was addressed as mrs as to d mr in my form and on my passport and other documents. Now I need your advise as to what to do and how best to channel my appeal. My Brother's own was actually test he finally was asked to come and write. I will advise you never give up and appeal immediately.

Why do you think so? From my experience those being rejected are sent email in PDF file while his was sent on normal email write up. The email started with your application has been received. others with bad news starts with in the a.m. also his said come to counter 6. others dont. his also said is being processed by our colleague. others are already processed and refused so no need to say being processed again. They cannot give you time to come next week or 2 weeks time cos they dont know where you are now. I doubt if really the other guy was asked to come next week specifically.

My man put your mind at rest. The invitation is for your aptitude test, that is the reasoning you have been given a specific time( 8-9am, next week). If you compare your mail with that of futurewise brother, you will notice a lot of differences in the two mails.
For instance
1. Nothing was mentioned about the completion of your application process unlike futurewise brother.
2. You got a week to come to the embassy unlike futurewise brother who was given an infinite date.
3. The time frame (8-9) you got indicates the embassy want to engage you in a serious business unlike the other guy who was give a wide range of time (8-11am).

What I asked was just a question. You answered as if one does not know the importance of abolition of tuition fee. That the issue of accommodation should be looked into does not warrant such response.

Go to Canada and USA and see what your fellow students are paying for accommodation plus tuition and you will thank God for Germany.
