Diamond bank charged my account a sum of 274 to a dollar for a transaction that was carried out earlier today. To get the full gist, I have been making a payment of $200 (unfortunately 300 isn't the limit but 200 unless this only applies to me as I cant authorise a transaction pass the 200 mark. Even tried 250, no way) each day for the past 4 days now just to be able to pay for some services which runs above a thousand dollars. For previous transactions (from the 21st to the 24th) it has always been within 254/255 to a dollar. But was blown away when I saw my bank notification for a rate close to 274. At the moment, am considering using another bank to complete the rest payment. Started out with Gtbank(from 16th to 19th) but they got on the high side with 270, switched to diamond which I began with a 248 rate, now 274. I wonder why CBN let banks get away with practises like this. Any suggestion on banks with favourable rates will be appreciated. Cheers

Have you tried sterling bank? They are 247 per dollar now.

Actually for this issue i need opinions from the house.
I have a relation, quite notorious for bad behavior, she is the type that would tanish the name of a people, like when they say igbo people are drug dealers or yoruba people are ritualists(no offense meant), this is the kinda person that causes that stereotype.
She asked me to help her with documents to sypport her application for a study visa and knowing the kinda person she waz, i declined. How ever, while i was away and been a relation, while at my house she accessed my room, took letterheads of the bank i work at and drafted herself letters saying she worked at the bank and i was her supervisor (we don't share surnames) as well as using statements of accounts which were lying around in my house.
Any how she was granted the visa and i am shocked to the marrow that neither i nor the bank was contacted yo verify the claims made in her documents, especially the letterhead issue as that could have easily gotten me fired at work in a country were job is hard to come by (see the part about the kinda person that can tanish a people's name?).
Any how she is now in Canada and recently called to gloat that when she asked me and i did not help, she took my papers and helped herself.
You can imagine, i want the dumb girl returned home and wish to write a letter to CIC that i did not authorize that letter and question why and how come neither i nor the bank was contacted to verify the claims in her documents.
What does the house think such a letter would achieve.
Note that one day, this kinda person would do something in Canada to give Nigerians there a bad name oh and na all of una for der this shit go rub for face.
Experienced people in the house please comment.

University of Regina accepts transcript via email nah. How are you sure those University of Illorin will even send it to correct address to Regina or will not send contradicting transcript co that sch commits blunder so much in common transcript. Pls send it via email to them and you will be fine.

I just withdrew 20 euro in Germany now with Stanbic IBTC master card and was charged 258 per euro. Yesterday GTbank charged me 272 per uro so I vex try Stanbic and they seem to be better.

It's not uncommon to get pp dispatched mail without approval mail especially for paper route applicants. Try and keep calm as much as you can.

Good morning to everyone and a happy new month, i just discovered a christian college through the cic page but to my suprise i was told by the school(college) that i can apply and get their admission letter without paying a dime, they dont charge for applicantion fee , only security deposit for accomodation is to be paid which is CAD$150 but i went further asking them that i do not plan for thier accomodation, so they replied that i shouldnt pay the security deposit of $150.
According to them, the tuition fee can be paid when i arrive the school in canada

now my question is, how will the canadian embassy see my issue when i apply to them for study visa. will the school be a red flag or will my admission process be seen as a red flag.

the school offers a 3 yr bsc program , diploma and cert program
do i stand a chance in getting thier visa if i go through such admission process.

Hello House! I just got a mail with an attachment saying my application to study has been approved but the doc does not have my name or uci number on the letter itself . I only just did my medicals on Thursday and I called the hospital today and they said I should call back at the end of the week that it usually takes 6 days to send. Also the status on my passport in vfs says it's still being processed. Please gurus in the house kindly explain I'm a bit confused and shocked ?

I paid my school 27k to send my official transcript to UPEI and now they are requesting for Engish proficiency test. This is the reason why i decided to check up on other schools and i wont like to spend money sending another transcript.

I got conditional admission into Thompson Rivers University with the condition I pay my first semester tuition fee before they can send my final offer letter. I decided to go to any other good, reputable school cheaper than TRU because I can't tell for sure how financial status may be later on as i proceed with the program. I have Simon Fraser University on my least though they don't have exactly the program i want, but the most related one they have is ok for you. Please tell me what you think about Simon Fraser Uni, i will also appreciate if you could recommend a very reputable school with good record that have environmental science/management program with a tuition fee of not more than 6000CAD per annum. Both Chinese and Europeans. I se I sit down for Advanced Microeconomics class wey I get A parallel six times from 200 level to 400 level for school. For the whole 1h 30m. Na only one line of equation and the definitions wey the man de talk for mouth I hear and understand. Funny enough e go just de skip steps assuming se you understand and the europeans go de tell am make e fire on. Before you try grasp one concept for eqn 3 or 4 my guy don reach eqn 17 or so. I had to go and meet him and pleaded with him to be a lil bit slow still for the next class it was worse off chai!

2016 peeps make una take note o. Experience isn't always the best teacher I tell people you can always make the experience of other people your best teacher. You don't have to go through the same experience to learn.

With the savings you'll make in two years by working and spending minimally you wont have to struggle when you eventually decide to relocate elsewhere after your studies.

You forgot to also inform them that we only have three attempt to write one exam. If person fail one course 3 times them go drive am commot from school - fail and fail out even if u don reach final year and failed one 100 level course 3 times. Other courses you passed up to final year are wasted.
