patriot4: If we are then it better be for a gun we have licence to produce, because I don't see how usefull such a movement would be if you don't produce the guns. Moreover DICON is working on a verry modern rifle inspired by the ak47, it will be available soon. I think that guy in the picture is a commando.
Yea you are right about him been a commando....i did not just want to state it for his own security

Msauza: This is not a recycling, it is relevant to this topic. Do military tribunal of the so called most powerful militaries in Africa prosecute those who are found to contravene rules of engagement? The answer is no, some do and others not, hence I pointed it to Baga Saga whose atrocities have been decreed as crime to humanity against Nigeria government by the human right watch.
If u were right about human rights watch than the ICJ should have charged someone by now for war crimes! or dont u thinks so?

Fighter Pilot: Let them keep on with their counterfeits!!! It is the lives of their lives of their pilots they are putting at risk not ours.
Thank you Fighter Pilot. As i have said before i will engage no uncouth person in any conversation. I only wanted to add to the dossier of information on the modest progress made by the Nigeria Air Force, if that offends you enough for you to insult my country mens' efforts well i say agian thank. You are most civilised!

Air force fabricates aircraft parts

Nigerian Air Force yesterday said it has resuscitated many of its aircraft using locally produced spare parts.

The F-7 fighter jets based in Makurdi, Benue state and the Agusta 109 helicopters in Enugu, Enugu state were among the refurbished planes using locally made spare parts while the Alpha jets in Kainji, Niger state will have some of their parts produced locally.

The air force signed Memorandum of Understanding with 14 tertiary and research institutions on research and development in Abuja. Chief of Standards and Evaluation Air Vice Marshal Sadiq Abubakar said during the event that the service has produced several aircraft parts locally in conjunction with instructions of higher learning thereby reducing dependence on foreign companies.

He said the air force has locally produced hydraulic diaphragms for its helicopters which were hitherto obtained from Russia and Ukraine. The new diaphragms can last for over 50 flying hours without replacement unlike the Russian made. Now all our helicopters are flying, he said.

He said the electrolytes of the F-7 fighter jets were produced by the air force in collaboration with the Benue State University while the cameras of the Agusta 109 helicopters that were dysfunctional have now been fabricated including the camera recorders.

Re-engineering the F7 and the Alpha, a confirmation of what has been mentioned before
