kabe1: In a separate interview with the CNS on board the ship, while speaking on maintenance of the newest fleet, Vice Admiral Gambo averred that efforts are on to acquire another one to compliment NNS KADA.
“This landing ship should come in pairs and we are making efforts and the government is determined to provide a sister edifice which would enhance our operations. We are expecting to get another one anytime soon.
Here is the video were he made the comment.
Sincerely i did not expect the ship will be this big until i saw the videos. Would NN go for lst 80 as the sister ship like they did for the hydrographic vessels or are we to expect another lst 100. Time will tell.
QuietMynd: Later on, you will see some Africans siding with Ukraine and even insulting their fellow Country men because of Kremlin like that dimwit insulting his father at home.
Whalesharkcroc: Guys, have a look at our NNS Kada again. The Red marks look like missile/rocket launchers. I may be wrong though, but my my eagle eyes sighted them. They have the shape and design of launchers.
It will be strange and probably impractical to have missle launcher statationed at the points you highlighted.
Tinfoil: Might you have any details on the upgrades? If they still have analog cockpits then it would be best to retire all of them, save fuel-money, and buy a lot of transport helicopters.
African countries would be better off with UAVs than fighter aircraft because they cost less and would be more useful in a conflict against a peer state. Only N African countries can afford enough munitions to sustain a war for about 2 months
kabe1: Defense Attaché of the French Embassy in Nigeria, Colonel Guillaume DUJON during his visit to our facility was pleased with the landmark achievements at Proforce Limited.
Food don come for our twitter defence blogger - France came to spy on Proforce
jl115: nobody is blinded by patriotism.. We are fully aware of the short comings of the SANDF... Which thankfully unlike other countries I shan't mentioned is funding related and not doctrine related... The problem is your sheer obsession and jealously wrt SA and the need to highlight all that is negative about the SANDF which 1 isn't uncommon in 1ste world militaries and 2 at least we have excellent transparency and we are able to see every single problem inflicting our military
,if we wanted to we could've inundated this thread with negative news and stories about the NDF on a daily basis, but we choose not to but rather focus on the positives.... Now get over your obsession and focus on your own military
Stormtrooper11: I had an educative, heated conversation with someone recently. He was telling me about the NAF using these specific munitions in Liberia and Sierra Leone but I doubted it because I felt the Alpha Jets couldn't launch these bombs.
Probably, we have never used it in our territory due to its repercussions.
youghs: We hardly see NA personnel with beryl riffle which is said to have been adopted as the standard rifle. Only NDA cadets and AFSF uses it. Then all of a sudden we are seeing several NA Soldiers field the AK Alpha.
Cant remember the army authorities saying it has been adopted as standard issue unless you got this from twitter
