Nice explanation. The only unfortunate thing is that the "Prophetm0hammed" dude is a sponsored team lead, media arm in charge of ASUU matters.

Notice he uses "we" when he's talking.

What I'm sure is that ASUU's struggle is just and they will triumph.

It's just a matter of time, ASUU will come out victorious. Their cases against the federal government are very solid. Even if taken to Court the fedral government will lose.

FG is just trying to punish them and send message to other unions who might be thinking of going to strike in the nearby future.

The only sad thing is that federal government punishment of ASUU is also affecting the students which is bad.

btw, NASS said there won't be public holidays until the national budget is passed.

NEXT YEAR BECAUSE THIS YEAR IS COMING TO AN END AND CRIME RATE USUALLY INCREASE THIS PERIOD.

YES ASUU DEMANDS CAN BE MET UNDER 24 HOURS BUT GOVERNMENT WILL NOT DO THAT BECAUSE IT WILL MAKE THEM LOOK WEAK.

THEY WANT TO DRAG ASUU THROUGH THE MUD SO THAT ANY OTHER UNION THINKING ABOUT STRIKE WILL HAVE TO THINK TWICE.

NASS STATEMENT IS JUST TO URGE REFLECTIVE BODIES TO SPEED THINGS UP. THERE WILL ALWAYS BE PUBLIC HOLIDAYS.

Biodun said they are still consulting na.
I know it will take ASUU 5 months to finish consultations, infact they are yet to reach out to their members in Uranus and Saturn, due to distance barrier, that's why it's taking more time.

We can't do anything for ASUU until we hear the outcome of their consultations.

There is no consultation going on.

The consultation ended on 9th. After which they made their decision known via a letter from the union clarifying false allegations from FG (which claimed they agree to call of the strike) and further stating that the strike continues untill demands are met.

No meeting was arranged since then..as the supposed last week Wednesday meeting didn't hold.

Boko has always run its own agenda.That's why I laugh at the idea that APC is backing them. The APC nor PDP is not backing Boko. Boko is for Boko, and their aim is still as many people as possible under Shekau .

No sir. Their aim is to put an end to western education just as their name suggest. That's what they said.

Islamists are against western education. If Nigeria should divide, Boko-haram will benefit the most because they will own the North.

Until Nigeria have a president with zero tolerance for terrorists, Boko-haram will still be controlling the country.

It's hard to defeat this Haram people b/c they have informants in the Nigeria army. Any operation to be undertaken is usually communicated to them.

In fear of upcoming military raid (especially air strike ), they kidnapp hundreds of children to confiscate any attempt by the millitary.

Later, the turn those kids to sodiers and wives. The cycle of madness goes over and over again.

Way forward:

1. For his country to be economically stable and productive, our security unit must be improved. For a country of over 200 millions and a very large land mass, our security unit should not be less than 15% of our populations.

2. Religion intolerance - There has to be a strict rule against religion intorelance. Nigeria is not an Islamic state and will never be. So everyone should be PRACTICALLY FREE to worship whatever they believe in anywhere I the country.

3. Division: Whenever someone shout "division of Nigeria". All Politicians and some few northerners starts crying wolf. Why ?

4. Illegal immigrants: Now a days people from Chad, Niger and other neigbouring countries freely enter our borders. With no where to go some of this people live inside the bush and come out to trade one in a while.

Recently we have started calling them fulanis. NOTE: They are not of they fulani tribe in Nigeria. Most of this guys are immigrant they live up north and latter find their ways down south.
An average fulani man/woman is very fluent in Hausa language. This immigrants are not...they dont understand some core Hausa language. They are responsible for most of the herdmen/Banditry killings and even Boko-Haram

It can't stop on time. The best way will be to doge it while still applying the breaks. A total of four people in the front makes this impossible.
