Car assembly means jobs,taxes and cheaper cars. Car parts are made in china and assembled in the US, so i don't know whats bugging some people. When you hear car manufacture or any kind of manufacturing for that matter, it entails the assembly of parts from different companies eg tires from pirelli in italy, engine parts from kia, electronics from toshiba, music/speakers/video from bang and olufsen etc. Same with smartphones, processor from quallcoom, antenna/nfc et al from blackberry, camera from carl zeiss etc. And lest i forget, nice policy thrust from GEJ. His trade/investment minister spent time/energy on this...

Lol, i nor too blame d guy. We will do 1st degree for like 6yrs due to strike, masters for 5+yrs due to yeye supervisor, phd for 10 yrs. U go don old before u START real research work. So most lecturers end up stealing their students work or devise other means of getting research papers because they r too old to get stuff done. Its as if most nigerian lecturers r scared of losing their jobs to their students n frustrate them as much as possible. Education should be about ability, not a paycheck.

Mr Boyo has been consistent in his message. We collect income in dollars from oil sales. Share dollars so that the incoming dollars will compete with avialable naira for price. Thats what happens in a free market economy. Its simpe demand n supply. More dollars against available naira, price of naira appeciates. To prevent corruption, distribute dollar certificates so banks will give available naira. The banks can now cash their certificates at cbn, but govs cannot cash such. But what cbn does instead is print naira to cover the dollars earned at whatever rate they decide, while hoarding dollars and limiting supply. This creates an artificial dollar scarcity, increasing its price. This is a drama that occurs every month!
