Lol malachi to the rescue. I swear Malachi 3:8-12 is more important to these pastors than the whole gospel of Christ. So no matter what you give, if you don't tithe, your blessings are not secure abi? Continue decieving people for private jets

freewill donations was under the law as well. same principles in different generations. tithes ,offerings, freewill ,alms ,fasting, praying etc. its parallel . you can't take one and condemn the other except there specific scripture that says otherwise
do you agree it is wrong to threaten people with ruin just to scare them into paying tithe?

He condemned the Pharisee but endorsed the tithe . That’s good enough for every honest man

It existed before the levites came . The work of God must be funded in every generation .

Paul was clear enough here .

1 Corinthians 9:13-14
Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar? Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.
Exactly. By free will donations as recommended by Christ, all the apostles and early christian leaders not from tithes coerced from christians by psychological blackmail.

Imagine Peter Obi behind Obiano. He pushes the political angle while Ifeanyi Uba pushes the business angle, rebranding APGA as not just an igbo party, but one that is the most economic and business friendly party. Labaran Maku can push the northern angle, though the primary aim is to capture SE first. Peter Obi had the opportunity to do something great with the APGA Ojukwu left in his care with all the good will he had, but he blew it for PDP mess of pottage.

It has become OT now? But when daddy freeze was posting his trash with OT it was ok Abi.

Error ! Jesus says to give tithe .

Matthew 23:23
. You should tithe, yes, but do not neglect the more important things

Matthew 22:21 (KJV)
They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's.

1 Corinthians 9:13-14
Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar? Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.

You tithing champions have stock quotes you take out of context to justify your position. The only time Jesus talked about tithes was condemning the pharisees and their practice of hypocritical giving as evidenced in their tithing even herbs. He knew levites depended on tithes for their sustainance and it would be suicidal to ask adherents of the old law to stop sustaining them. He however, gave NO directive on tithing to his followers. He always advocated selfless giving. Same as his apostles. Same as Paul. Same as all early church fathers in ALL of christian history. Please feel free to check all the 'eternal principles' quoted by your G.Os in books copied from their american republican evangelical mentors and give ONE example where Christ, ANY apostle, Paul or any early christian leaders gave clear directives to christians to tithe. Or maybe your G.Os and pastors are more intelligent than Christ and his apostles on instructions about giving

Under the law money was used for tithes and offerings

Leviticus 27:27
And if it be of an unclean beast, then he shall redeem it according to thine estimation, and shall add a fifth part of it thereto: or if it be not redeemed, then it shall be sold according to thy estimation

Leviticus 27:31
31 And if a man wants to redeem any of his tithe, he shall add a fifth to it.
See how you are quoting OT laws just because it's tithing. Laws Christ refused to burden his followers with. To justify 'principles' described not by Christ, his apostles, Paul or any early christian leader but by books written by your G.Os copied from their american pentecostal mentors.

Religion / Re: Paying Your Tithe Is Biblical by gabe: 9:35pm On Nov 17, 2017
hardasan:

The entire passage talks about the switch from the levitical priesthood back to priesthood after the order of Melchizedech and it also states that as there will be a switch in priesthood, the law will also change.
Christ is the new High Priest after the order of Melchizedech.
Christ changed the law by bringing grace.
Christ said this of the law :

Matthew 5:17-20King James Version (KJV)

17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Christ and (or) the apostles have stated clearly what grace changes.
Christ never condemned tithes. When speaking on tithes, he told the pharisees: "these ye ought to have done and not leave the other undone " Ie. They shouldn't have left out righteousness deeds like love, peace, mercy etc to practice only things like tithing.
How convenient! Christ came to fulfil the law and so didn't condemn tithes, but he also didn't condemn circumcision and keeping the sabbath. In fact, there is no record Christ paid tithes in he bible, but he was circumcised and he most certainly observed the sabbath in its true form. You are very happy to obey the law of tithes, but don't bother about circumcision and keeping the sabbath which are covenants between God and his people. You can't just pick and choose what laws to obey just because Christ is 'the new high priest'. He brought a new covenant, which also covers giving. Paying of tithes is giving under the law, it was compulsory. The new law of giving entails giving out of love, not compulsion as Paul specifies in 2 Corinthians 9:7-8. This argument of tithes have sprung up because some pastors threaten their flock with disaster if they don't pay their tithes. People who don't pay are humiliated, scaring others into doing so. There is nothing christian about that.

OP stop telling lies. Most scholars do NOT agree that the empty tomb is a historical fact. Only christian scholars agree that the empty tomb is historical. Jews, Muslims, atheist and other scholars that look at it all disagree.

The empty tomb is not a historical fact . What we have for the empty tomb are ONLY MYTHICAL stories written many decades after the alleged events. Do you know what a historical fact is?

I know you guys can't stop telling lies for Jesus.

Leviticus 20:30-34 is explicit on tithes. Freeze should read that. Now, the argument is if jewish laws on tithing
should be translated to christian rules on giving.
