Thanks for the enlightenment. However, I would appreciate if you can shed more light on the following:

1. How would somone know the starch content of the harvested root?
2. Is it the higher the starch content, the greater the price or vice Verser?
Usually yes, but its more of importance to industrial users. Sorry i don't know how the tests are done.
Religion / Re: The Failure Of Atheism To Account For Existence by gabe: 3:33pm On Oct 08, 2017
The crux of the matter is the postulation is wrong. That it leads to an infinite regression of causers is a pointer. That for it to make sense, you have to add an exception to the rule ie God is another pointer. beings, things processes do not always have a single animated creator. Some things or processes are made when several factors act at the same time or at various times on the same subject/object. These actions by these factors may be a one off and may never happen with the same variation again. Take a rock for example. Molten magma may be forced out by internal pressure within the earth. The particular viscosity of the magma may decide how far it flows and when it hardens. it's shape may further be acted on by other weather conditions like rain and wind. Several factors, one rock. The big bang is another example. High temperatures, gravitational forces and so many other factors led to the giant explosion that birthed our universe. The conditions that made this happen may never occur again. But from our evidence, it wasn't just one causer.

Religion / Re: Respect For Other Religions? by gabe: 11:49am On Oct 08, 2017
Good point. This respect thing is hard eg so many people are finding it difficult to respect church leaders who rob their members continually in the name of tithes to buy private jets and palatial properties while their members live in squalor. Key word is continually. You already have millions stashed in your bank accounts. Then you morally coerce the poor widow struggling to feed her children to give you her 'widow's mite'. Every sunday. She sells groundnuts or pure water all through the week. Then you make her bring the money as tithes or seed sowing. I really can't respect that.

You try so hard to box the existence of the universe into 2 erroneous choices. science tells us the known universe started with the big bang. Please google and read. Now, you and other creationists insist it was created by an uncaused causer. Your Causer has to be specially uncaused to escape the infinite regression caused by your faulty logic of all things having an animated, personal creator, which has to be more complex than its creation. The problem here is an uncaused causer negates your postulation. An exception negates your rule. Who's to say there is only one uncaused causer? So many things were created by processes, not a creator. Rocks, for instance, are created when molten magma melts. The earth exerts a gravitational force on all bodies by virtue of its mass. Aside from your faulty logic, there is also the nagging issue of proof, which creationists NEVER provide.

used it before. you need to change sand more frequently than wood shavings though. I observed coccidiosis in my 2nd batch, which responded to treatment so I had few fatalities . 1st batch was ok, no coccidiosis.

I'm new to cassava production and I'd like to take it up as a business. I need expert advice pls. From site selection to post-harvesting operation.

NB: is it true that one pick up truck is one ton? smiley
What is the current price per ton?
1 pickup is about 4 tonnes. prices range from 12k-30k per tonne based on starch content (for industrial buyers). A pickup goes for 50k at my place in benue currently. mostly bought by garri producers.

Like i mentioned somewhere, the mysteries of the anointing is not common knowledge. Trust me.
Healing is never a big deal for Jesus. The power of God is inexhausible. The trouble is with the human vessels, who are channels of God's power. For a man to host certain dimensions of power, he must have the capacity to contain and dispense it.

I will use this anology. The anointing, which is a measure of God's capacity to produce an effect closely resambles electricity. If you pass high tension voltage directly to a 100W bulb without stepping it down, it will destroy the bulb. Alternatively, you could add more load to the circuit such as heavy duty machinery to use the power. The power of God, which is entrained in the anointing has unlimited capacity. For it to produce the effect a man might desire, it must pass through a vessel with the required capacity. God only releases the quantiy of power a man has built himself to carry. The limitation is always with man, i.e., the vessel and not the supply. The Holy Spirit of God is the custodian of the anointing.
so no single human being has been found worthy of wielding such power? I hear...

Family / Re: Is It Right For A Married Woman To Be a Close Friend With Single Guy? by gabe: 7:04am On Oct 01, 2017
FortifiedCity:
There is this very young and beautiful married woman. She told me she is 28 years. She's been pregnant once. I assisted her brother get a small job lately. Before then, anytime i see her on the road, we greet. If she wanted to buy something, I'll pay with a clean heart and walk away. Ever since then, she's shown me her appreciation in words. Somehow we started talking on whatsapp lately. She gave me her number.

But now, she's telling me that she prefers keeping guys as friends. In fact she has offered to come and cook for me today but I told her I am not around. I was very open to her that her being so close might tempt me to touch her that it's better she stays far from me or we talk whenever we see on the road. I told her this to scare her away from coming close but it's not working.

She says that me telling her that will not make her be free but she still insists that she'd come to my house. She said she'd like to be free with me, jumping on my bed and playing around but she just likes me as a friend.

Is it wrong to be a close friend with a married woman?
Please guys what do you think?
short answer, no. Don't allow your village witches succeed please. Some married women can be very available because of frustrations in their marriage. Doesn't mean the devil will not use your head to roast groundnut if you fall into the trap of sleeping with a married woman.

plastics are easy to dispose off. It just cost less to make new plastics. Political will+ strong personal commitment to recycling will soon remove all plastics from the garbage space. political will involves building recycling plants or giving private investors tax breaks and incentives. Personal commitment involves everyone sorting his trash and and delivering all used plastics to the collection points of the recycling plants. Also, plastics can be thermally broken down to produce less toxic fuels for waste to power plants. If we are determined, we can turn the mountains of waste in Lagos, Onitsha, Aba and all major cities to wealth, resulting in a cleaner Nigeria.

Here is another way to view faith and how tangible it is.

NEED

You have 2 million naira and you want to buy a car. You go online and search for one and you find the perfect one for you.

PRAYER

You call the seller and your communication with him shows that yes it is perfect for you then he says you can come check it out.

WORKS

you book an inspection appointment and on that day you go check it out physically and you like what you see. You then promise to come the next day to pay and pick it up which you do.

FULFILMENT or JUSTIFICATION

you pay and pick up the car keys and drive away with it. It is now yours.

Faith is the cash you have in exchange for the vehicle. FAITH REPRESENTS THE VEHICLE YOU ARE YET TO HAVE. FAITH IS THE VEHICLE!

you trade it in for the vehicle and then the vehicle becomes a reality.

We apply this physically daily in practically all areas of our lives. The difference is because we are physical so we relate more from the physical side which is why many can only see this side. God however is a spirit so would speak from the spiritual side but the application is the same.
in this case, you acted based on evidence you have SEEN online, or confirmed otherwise about the reliability of the seller. Faith is more like giving your money to someone you know nothing about ( things not seen) to get you a car and hoping he does...

This thread is interesting, if only for the fact that people haven't started insulting each other! long may that continue. i'll just like to point out the evidence for common ancestry is so staggering you won't even know where to start. Phylogenetic studies seem to be the strongest evidence we have so far. Simply if organisms have a common ancestor, they should all have genetic imprint common in all organisms. Studies into ribosomal RNA (rRNA) especially the 16S rRNA by Carl Woese and many others shows its existence in all organisms. rRNA has the remarkable ability of preserving itself intact no matter how many times it is replicated. Similarities in the rRNA sequences of all living organisms point to common ancestry. Now, there are so many other proofs like all eyes sharing a similar set of light sensing proteins called opsins (puts paid to the idea of irreducibility complexity of the human eye) or the homoebox set of genes present in all vertebrates. Google is ur friend.

OmaniPadmeHum:

Please read well. We have noticed you work. I said she should be punished if her actions are unprofessional in the flights. Or if the video goes against the principles of B. A. If her opinions, which aren't based on facts but mere sentiments, hurt their business, then they have a right to call her to order.

But please I am not endangered. I am not a sorry case. Don't pity me because I am black and punish a woman who says I have a Big black whatever and tells me they have run out of beef, whether true or false. I don't need that. There is a thin line between sanctioning her for unprofessional conduct and her just being plain silly on an android App. Tell her she shouldn't complain about any customer. Not just because she says blacks are this or that.

If I could, it is what I would advise B. A. and ensure they do.

I understand your point about the stewardess, but ignoring racism when it's blatantly manifested is a no. How do you think 'driving while black' and the shootings that provoked BLM started? Stereotyping. All blacks are drug dealers, pimps and always carry guns which they use to shoot each other, or just shoot anyone they see, cos you see, they 've got no sense. So police officers always switch to the default stereotype mode when they see a black man. They don't instinctively hate black people. They just shoot first because their stereotyping had sunk into their subconscious and they won't want to get shot first. That's why it's important to fight the thoughts and words of racism because they become actions. Eg if Buhari says most Nigerians abroad are drug dealers and criminals, which sane country would want to give visas to drug dealers and criminals? it's important to present a counter narrative to racial stereotyping.
