llade:yes o many thanks to the two of them for so much enlightenment |
DoctorTim:u hit the nail on the head bro. Stuff like this happens almost every Saturday morning |
luvola:My brother pls stay where u are keep working hard and building yourself, and then when you move you'll move big. The fact that you work on the mainland is a very big advantage. Use it to develop yourself (certifications, online courses, etc). That53% rise might not be worth the move to the mainland; the stress of getting to and from work plus the pressure of a "performance" based contract job may not be worth the move. |
onatisi:Your head correct my brother, well spoken |
Fhemmmy: |
Fhemmmy: |
SkinnyDude:dont worry yourself my brother just move ahead with your life and keep socialising. these things will fall in place. you'll see |
Mistermamus:this early morning ? |
rikamann: INNOSON MOTORS TRIED! God bless everyone who made this possible.Nice bro, truth is we are highly gifted in this country; i for one appreciate every region/tribe cos i think every group brings something to the table |
I drive an EOD 2003 i think, V6; though it consumes more fuel but the driving pleasure is really good, i think i'll be sticking to 6 cylinder cars |
@omo tier1, manny4life, donedo, e.t.c. Wow guys that was quite a roll! The rest of us got lost on this thread ages ago. We should have some respect for peoples professions irrespective of wether thrust generates lift or not. Anyway its nice to see that black boxes can be analysed in Nigeria, and also that we have pros like you guys working for some high tech companies out there. We hope that you can all come back home soon and help add some value to our aviation industry |
priscaoge: When will all this gist end? (PHCN=Please Hold Candle Near)So many empty promises yet we stay in darkness.Next page jare*Mistchewwwwwwwwwwwwwww*My dear it will happen, power projects are massive and multi phased; people are rejoicing because the groundwork needed to move our power sector forward has been done by GEJ's administration. Look at telecomms, try and compare nitel to etisalat or mtn and you'll see what we re talking about. We wont have 24hr light overnight but at the rate they re going, we'll see significant improvements very soon |
Laudate II: Having an airport is a good start, but it is important to have adequate number of international flights taking off and landing at the same airport. When will the international airlines set up operations there? They will come trust me, if you know the number if our south eastern brothers in dubai and the far east for exmple you wont bother about the viability of that airport. Ethiopan will soon start operations and i suspect emirates too. |
guys, we are not hating, we only believe nigerians deserve the best considering the wealth we have. When you talk of infrastructure development, we expect to see a large number of high quality roads, bridges, health centers in rural communities, etc. Most of the buildings shown here are government offices in umuahia, how will they elevate the quality of life of abians? |
Airforce1: Igbo police officers are well behaved and values human life unlike there colleagues from South WestPlease dont say that kind of thing again, the rot in the police force has no ethnic pattern whatsoever, im not from sw but i think ur comment is not only incorrect but its inciting. We have too much of that on NL please |
Peeps please when you have dealings with police, just be wise and mature and calm whether you are right or wrong, no matter how annoying and provoking they are. These guys are irrational and unpredictable |
Seun: I don't think you understand what Internet forums are about! Nairaland Forum is a place to share information, and not to hoard it!Come on guys im sure he was just joking |
...i think GEJ has really done well for this country, though he is on the quiet side but truly a silent achiever!my only concern is that non of the investments seems to be going to the north where i honestly think is most needed!this must be a price the north is paying for their self-inflicted instability!
Not really bro, the minister of agric has been making some positive changes and northern farmers are benefiting. Also, if the power sector reforms remain on track the textile industry (which has a strong presence in the north) will be revived. I believe that things will get better and there'll be something for every region |
Lets look at it this way: With the kind of resources we have, we deserve a level of infrastructure comparable to what obtains in developed countries. Those on this thread who hold that view are not necessarily haters but just want us to have the very best. But then, lets commend the Govt for positive developments no matter how small. If all elected/appointed government officials were to post the kind of performance seen by Stella Oduah (Even if some are not satisfied with her efforts) I think our dear country would be far ahead of where she is today. |
13volts: FURTHER UPDATESWelldone to those villagers, this is the kind of response required for this kind of problem, not the disgusting rubbish the northern elders are saying |
Nezan: When one read all those hate-filled posts on nairaland, you begin to wonder if our youths ever read their history books.I posted something earlier about hate filled responses. Any way, as per people insulting northerners, i dont sanction that but you must understand that they are venting their anger and heartbreak arising from the slaughter of so many innocent men, women and children by boko haram, a group which appears to have some covert support from some of the northern elite. |
Some people have complained about responses on this thread being hateful. The problem is this: Northern Muslims have propagated a philosophy of intolerance and superiority towards southerners (christians and muslims alike) for decades as displayed in the "born to rule" concept. Recent attacks by BH and the responses by Northern Elders are not helping matters at all, more so if we are to remain one, our northern (muslim) brothers need to shift paradigm completely. A situation where a northern muslim refuses to be led by a southern muslim cleric cannot bode well for a country that preaches equity and oneness. The muslim north does not tolerate the rest of us and thats why at the slightest provocation they resort to senseless killing of southerners/christians because they believe we are infidels not worthy of living. Finally i commend our Yoruba brothers and sisters, i think the Northern muslims should take a cue from the way Islam is practiced in the south west, only then can we find true peace in the North and complete acceptance by southerners |
Fulaman198: The thing is that many Nigerians generalize, they don't even realize that majority of Boko Haram isn't Hausa or Fulani but Kanuri. Most Southern Nigerians could care less, to them Hausa, Fulani, Touareg, Kanuri are all the same. That is pure naivety. My brother, there's a lot of naivety about other tribes/cultures; i think all regions in the country are guilty of it. Thats why i feel this thread is one of the deepest i have ever seen on nairaland. I also think we should have much more threads like this; it will go a long way in promoting understanding and tolerance. Welldone to you Pagan 9ja, may God bless you |
Welldone nigerian police, we appreciate you and encourage you to do more |
