Bayo Akinloye The United States Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) says it has documented at least 19,890 deaths in Nigeria since June 2015, just after President Muhammadu Buhari assumed office on May 29, 2015. This is as the United Kingdom-based Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW) disclosed that Fulani militias killed 1,061 people in about 106 attacks on communities in central Nigeria in the first quarter of 2018. CSW said 11 other attacks on communities in the southern parts of the country by the militia claimed a further 21 lives. In a related development, the UK House of Lords on Thursday expressed worry about the inability of the Buhari government to end killings in Nigeria, warning that ethno-religious violence in the country may escalate to the Rwanda type genocide if the federal government remained complacent about it. The concern followed a debate on the recent killing of about 200 people in Plateau State by suspected Fulani herdsmen. The CFR, an independent body of experts dedicated to providing advice on policy options facing countries, put the cumulative deaths in Nigeria from May 2011 to May 2018 at 53,595. This statistics was obtained by THISDAY from a section of the organisation website, Nigeria Security Tracker (NST). According to the think tank, the NST tracks violence that is both causal and symptomatic of weakness of Nigeria political institutions and citizen alienation. It said the data was based on weekly surveys of Nigerian and international media and that they included violent incidents related to political, economic, and social grievances directed at the state or other affiliated groups (or conversely the state employing violence to respond to those incidents.) CFR added, Different groups in Nigeria resort to violence. The militant Islamist movement Boko Haram is active in northern Nigeria. Violence among ethnic groups, farmers, and herdsmen sometimes acquires religious overtones. A new generation of Niger Delta militants threatens war against the state. Government soldiers kill civilians indiscriminately. Police are notorious for extrajudicial murder. In the latest report, equally obtained by THISDAY, the organisation said, During the first quarter of 2018 CSW documented 1,061 deaths in 106 attacks by the Fulani militia on communities in Adamawa, Benue, southern Kaduna, Kogi, Nasarawa, Plateau and Taraba states, with an additional 17 lives lost in attacks in the south of the country. CSW also documented seven instances of violence targeting Fulani herders or communities in which 61 people lost their lives; two of these attacks occurred in the south of the country. The recent deaths in Plateau State bring the number of casualties recorded so far in herder militia attacks in central Nigeria in the second quarter of 2018 to 440. The organisation said the figures were obtained by its offices in the United Kingdom and in Nigeria using organisational records, a timeline issued by the Office of the President of the Nigerian Senate, #MiddlebeltMassacres in Twitter, news sources, and the United States-based Council on Foreign Relations’ Nigeria Security Tracker. It further noted that there was more to the violence going on in Nigeria often referred to as farmer-herder clashes“ than meets the eye. The report added, “However, attacks by herder militia are currently occurring with such frequency, organisation and asymmetry that the characterisation as clashes no longer suffices. Armed with sophisticated weaponry, including AK-47s and on at least one occasion, rocket launchers, the herder militia is believed to have killed more men, women and children in 2015, 2016 and 2017 than Boko Haram, in what local observers increasingly describe as a campaign of ethno-religious cleansing. CSW also said it had documented over 400 deaths in 46 attacks during the second quarter of 2018. In one of the most recent, at least 200 people were reported to have died in coordinated attacks on around 50 communities in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area in Plateau State, which began on June 22 and lasted until June 24, the report said. The majority of victims of the Barkin Ladi attacks were said to be women and children. The CSW report noted that 120 people were killed as they returned from the funeral of an elderly member of the Church of Christ In Nations (COCIN). Speaking on the violence, CSW’s Chief Executive, Mervyn Thomas, accused the Nigerian government of refusing to fish out the perpetrators of the violence. Thomas called for the formulation of a holistic security strategy to address the violence and other threats to national security as a matter of urgency. CSW extends its deepest condolences to all who have lost loved ones in the weekend of attacks in Plateau State. It is worrying that the authorities appear more focused on controlling victim communities than on tracing, disarming and arresting the perpetrators of this violence. We urge the state and federal governments to prioritise the protection and rehabilitation of vulnerable communities, and to refrain from victimising them further, Thomas said. He added, The number of attacks and casualties is staggering, and illustrates the appallingly high price communities in central Nigeria are paying for the absence of an effective official response to a force that not only constitutes a threat to national security, but also to national unity. We urge the government to guarantee the safety, protection and right to life of all Nigerians, regardless of creed or ethnicity. Meanwhile, in an impassioned debate in the UK parliament on Thursday following the murder of about 200 people in Plateau State by alleged herdsmen, the House of Lords warned the Nigerian and British governments that remaining complacent about the violent attacks could plunge Nigeria into the type of genocide that happened in Rwanda. In the parliament’s Hansard obtained by THISDAY, the debate which held between 2:16pm and 3:02pm, saw various UK lawmakers expressing concerns about what they described as ethno-religious cleansing going on in Nigeria and the inability of Buhari to stop the carnage and hold perpetrators of the violence to account. They noted that the violence, if not de-escalated, would have far-reaching effect on the 2019 general elections. During the debate, the lawmakers adduced reasons for the worsening violence in the country. Baroness Berridge alleged that the violence visited on farmers in the North and Middle Belt were a part of Jihadist movement. Berridge said, however, that the solution to the problem was in Nigerians hands, suggesting that the citizens should use the 2019 elections to demand an end to the violence. The 2019 presidential and parliamentary elections in Nigeria provide the best opportunity for Nigerians themselves to demand their government deal with this crisis… I hope Nigerians, especially Nigerian Christians, will realise that much more of the solution is in their hands than they perhaps realise, Berridge said in her contribution to the debate. Another member of the House of Lords, Baroness Cox, who said she had visited Nigeria “many times and seen the tragedies of death and destruction in Bauchi, Kano and Plateau states, noted that there were concerns that “the Fulani militants are now so well armed that they are possibly fighting a proxy war for Boko Haram with the shared agenda of driving Christians out of their homelands in the North and Middle Belt. Cox said, There is real fear that these developments are part of a strategy by Islamist fundamentalists to drive Christians out of their traditional homelands in northern and central-belt regions of Nigeria. I urge Her Majesty Government to respond appropriately to the very real possibility of religious cleansing. In her own contribution to the debate, Baroness Goldie said the violence could worsen and become politicised ahead of the 2019 elections, preventing elections from holding in some states. As Nigeria prepares for elections in 2019 there is a real risk that, without serious effort being made to stem the violence and address the root causes, the conflict between herders and farmers will worsen and become increasingly politicised, threatening peaceful solutions and elections in some states. It is imperative that there is a de-escalation of violence across all affected states, Goldie stated. She commended Buhari’s commitment to fighting extremism, but said, “The Nigerian government has not asked for assistance from the Commonwealth or from other countries. Another lawmaker, Baroness Stroud, asserted that the story of worsening violence in Nigeria was indicative of successive Nigerian governments’ failure “to manage the country’s wealth, and of a deeply ingrained culture of corruption. Lord Alton, who led the short debate, had warned that the Rwandan genocide could repeat itself in Nigeria, saying, “This alone should serve as a wake-up call. Are we to watch one of Africa’s greatest countries go the way of Sudan? Will we be indifferent as radical forces sweep across the Sahel, seeking to replace diversity and difference with a monochrome ideology that will be imposed with violence on those who refuse to comply? We must not wait for genocide to happen, as it did in Rwanda. Ominously, history could very easily be repeated. https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2018/07/01/nigeria-has-recorded-nearly-20000-deaths-under-buhari-says-us-body/?amp |
The Bishop, Catholic Diocese of Makurdi , His Grace , Wilfred Anagbe has demanded public apology from people saying , “ Benue people were responsible for the killings in the state , rather than Fulani herdsmen. ” Anagbe made the demand at weekend at St . Ignatius Quasi Parish , Ukpo - Ayar , Mbalom in Gwer East Local Council, during the atonement and purification of the parish. St . Ignatius Quasi Parish was the church, where the two priests , Rev. Frs Joseph Gor and Felix Tyolaha, as well as 17 parishioners, were killed on April 22 , 2018. The bishop insisted that the church needed the apology, adding that even if the church did not need the apology, he needed it as the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Makurdi , whose priests and congregation were gruesomely killed . He said : “ What baffled him most was that a good number of the people who tried to change the narrative were Christians and some of them were Benue indigenes. ” He said witnesses had testified at several fora that those who killed them were Fulani herdsmen because they heard them speak their dialect during the attacks. Governor Samuel Ortom had promised to construct a block of classroom at St Wilfred’ s Nursery and Primary School, Ukpo -Ayar , Mbalom , Gwer Local Council in honour of the slain priests and parishioners. Meanwhile, the governor has said the people of Benue North West would soon commence the recall process of Sen. George Akume for trying to change the narrative about killings in the state . He disclosed this yesterday, in Gbajimba, Guma Local Council. Ortom said he was disappointed that Akume has joined the state ’ s enemies, who were bent on changing the narrative that Benue people were killing themselves , without recourse to the fact that he is representing the senatorial zone that was most hit by the Fulani herdsmen attacks. Ortom said : ”During the attacks, various Fulani groups came out openly to claim responsibility for the killings . Some said it was because their cattle were rustled, while others said it was the continuation of the 1804 jihad. Why are some people trying very hard to change the narrative ? This is quite sad.” He said he would report Akume to the Tiv Supreme Council that he could explain to them better, by naming the people that were involved in the killings , since he had the intelligence report. https://m.guardian.ng/news/herdsmen-killings-bishop-demands-public-apology-from-persons-changing-benue-narrative/

First of all : introduction. NTA is the Nigerian Television Authority, largely federal government- owned. Once upon a time, nearly everyone in Nigeria was hooked up to NTA. Then came the deregulation of broadcasting in 1992, thank God. On the other hand , Channels TV which began broadcasting in 1995 is owned by John Momoh as Chairman/CEO , assisted by his wife , Sola Momoh, who is vice -chairman . Never thought I ’ d ever use NTA and Channels TV in the same sentence . In spite of the fact that someone I know calls Channels TV ‘ a glorified NTA’ or ‘ a slightly better version of NTA’ . Also, in spite of the fact that John Momoh is an alumnus of NTA . I stay away from NTA as much as I can these days despite its rich source and a real treasure trove for the Come Again ? section of this column . This is because NTA puts government first and journalism last. Channels TV ( Dstv 254) , on the other hand , ‘ has a well-earned reputation as a professional establishment. Its presenters had a clear mark of excellence , standing shoulders above the competition. Winning Best TV Station for the 10th time is a testament to this. Channels TV was the station to go when you wanted unbiased objective and informed news ’ . This was from two years ago . Channels TV has now won the award for Best TV Station, 14 times . If you think I was being unduly optimistic about the TV station, here ’ s what Channels TV says on its website about what it is set up to do: “Give an alternative medium of communication to the government-controlled media in Nigeria . Perform the role of a true watch -dog of the government and its policies and hold public officers accountable to the people”. Does this sound like the present Channels TV ? I wasn ’ t really interested in writing about Channels TV again; yes , again. That earlier quote was from a story I wrote for this column two years ago ( February, 14 2016 ) titled: ‘ How Not To Interview A Guest , Part 1 & 2. However, recent events have more or less compelled this write up . It began with reports that NTA , after acknowledging receipt of payment , refused to air the PDP presidential candidate , Atiku Abubakar’ s campaign ads. I simply waved it away . I would have been more interested in that story if there was any evidence that the broadcast watchdog , National Broadcasting Commission , would act . The NBC DG , Ishaq Modibo Kawu , was last ‘ seen ’ defending himself against an allegation of embezzling N 2.5 bn. Then last week happened . Over 100 soldiers were killed by Boko Haram . In the process of dismissing the deaths on Channels TV’ s Politics Today hosted by Seun Okinbaloye , Femi Adesina reportedly claimed countries around the world usually don ’ t release the names of dead soldiers , or implied words to that effect . Foreign journalists began to disprove Adesina ’ s claims almost immediately . Even at that, I shrugged Adesina ’ s comments off . This is Femi Adesina we are talking about , the man who has a collection of greatest hits such as Wailing Wailers , among others . However, by Tuesday , the story was different. There were claims that Adesina ’ s interview uploaded online had been edited to remove the controversial parts. Now, this is a new low for Nigeria ’ s supposedly best TV station. I am not surprised about the station trying to outdo NTA as a better promoter of the government, contrary to their mission statement . I first called Channels TV out two years ago when Maupe Ogun -Yusuf had an interview with the NCP ’ s Mark Onovo. She sounded like the militant press arm of the ruling party . Once in a while , I notice the presenters remember they are supposed to be journalists . I see the struggle . It must take extra power for them to dumb themselves down, the way they do, week in , week out, and interviewee after interviewee . Imagine a Festus Keyamo comes on your show crowing about all kinds of achievements and you , the interviewer, has to have a conversation like you live on the moon and only just stepped in for that interview . And just how scary the Nigeria Police gets when they decide to prove they know the law . You should see Channels TV guys when the guest is an ‘ opposition ’ politician. The other day , when Mustapha Chike -Obi was a guest on Sunrise Daily , Chamberlain Usoh and Nneota Egbe couldn ’ t ask him questions fast enough. For this reason, I ’ m willing to concede that perhaps , just perhaps , Channels TV deserves their title of Best TV Station, after all . All that hard work ! The question should be : ‘ Best TV Station in Nigeria , ’ For what? Doctoring videos? Just before concluding this piece , I decided to watch Sunrise Daily just in case something had changed . Immediately after the review , the next guest that was promoted was Garba Shehu , who is the better half of the presidential Aki and Pawpaw Show . No, I didn ’ t wait to find out what he said . I don ’ t blame presidential media aides for doing their job, the way they understand it . But I blame journalists for not doing their own jobs . https://punchng.com/thenta-nisation-of-channels-tv/

iammo:Agbaje is not Akpabio or Ameachi, and There is nothing to show or prove that Lagos has improved morethan the states you mentioned. All the things you want to brag about from Tinubu era of Lagos, can be seen in these states you emntioned. The rest boils down to the fact Lagos was a national capital and has 6 seaports, unless you can show us the sea ports, built and developed by Tinubu and his boys then Me thinks you shoukd just quit the lies. Infact Akpabio and Ameachi were better performers when compared to all the governors of Lagos from 1999 till date. Lagos was and would still be the nations finantial capital wether Tinubu was incharge or not thats a fact. Funsho Williams would have done a zillion times better than Tinubu did another facts. Deep down you all knw Agbaje is the best man for the job, just like he was since 2007 till this moment, but the strong tendercies to idol worship Tinubu would not allow you make admit it, there is no doubt the man has proven with his ideas and dispositon on things he has the capacity to transform Lagos. Even Fashola, Ambode all know this, thats why they akways rush to steal his ideas. He mentioned free wifis in markets, schools and Buses, Fashola stole that, He mentioned similar ideas and first five roads he would fix to ease traffic, Ambode ran away with it shamelessly. Bros I can careless what happens in Lagos, this comment is to put the record straight, stop the lies, Agbaje is the better candidate. |
The Police Command in Sokoto state on Saturday dispelled rumours of influx of Juhadists in the state There had been reports of such influx in some social media, especially in the late hours of Friday. The Public Relations Officer of the command, DSP Cordelia Nwawe, disclosed this while addressing newsmen on Saturday in Sokoto. Nwawe said, “our attention was drown toward a report that some unknown herdsmen were sighted in Gudu and Tangaza local government called Jahadists fully armed to destroy the peace in the area. “The situation was misreported based on our intelligence report. “The herdsmen sighted are reasonably believed to be Malians who reside in a forest in Niger Republic, sharing border with Gudu and Tangaza local government areas of the state. “The herdsmen are annual visitors to the nearby forest bordering the two local governments with their cattle and always stayed in the forest in Niger Republic. “Even though the number of their cattle increased exponentially this year to about 3,000 from the usual figures of less than 1000, it was discovered that they are not known to be violent. “Moreover, they occasionally enter the villages in the two local governments to procure food and other essentials and retire back to the forest,” Nwawe said. She called on the people living in the areas to remain calm and go on their normal business, assuring that police were always there to protect their lives and properties. The spokesperson added that the situation of the areas remained peaceful and enjoined the people to always assist police with useful information that could lead to the success of the command in the state. before it was Atiku cant even get a visa, he got one, then the narrative changed to he wont travel to the US. then he travelled, not its he had to quickly return Lol, BMC crew, we knw youvare all in shock. tune it down a lil bit. you are becoming a nuisance. |
buhariguy:Zombie so this is the new angle from the BMC? |
Lenadiva:yeah, they will be, seeing the preference of cows over the lives of Nigerians will not have them rolling in their graves but wailing as well. |
seunH:The ban was as a result of Obasanjo petition against him, people like Ameachi have greater fraud cases against them but travel without much hassel simply cos those who can influence their ban are not interested in their case. This is what I keep telling those are making noise about Buhari, Buhari is already gone, its his physical body thats still in Aso rock, the Presidency is off his hands, he will kicked out and nothing would happen, why? Those that made Yaradua, GEJ president are thesame folks that made Buhari president after he cried and gave up hope. You people keep hailing Tinubu, but if these bunch backed GEJ in 2015, it wont matter what Buhari and Tinubu does, Goodluck would have won and nothing have happened and would be by now preparing to hand over to whom they chose, fact is these people are no longer with Buhari. Most of this ignorant Buharideens, Buharist and Tinubu ethnic champions dnt knw nothing, to the extent of comparing Tinubu to Obasanjo? hahaha joke of the century. Let Tinubu and Buhari go and stop Atiku from going to the US nah. Bros If Nigeria is on fire today, world leaders would listen to what Obasanjo and TY Danjuma says first before allowing the lifeless one speak. If incase you have not adjusted to the fact that Atiku and Obi is your next president and Vice president respectively, better do or proccess your Visa to Togo asap. |
afroniger:we rather a president a nationalistic Obasonjo has his balls than your lifeless fossil whose balls are in the greedy sellfish and bloodsuckers fingers of Tinubu, Abbah kyari, mamman Daura and before i forget the Herds men. |
Why must he travel to waste our money? Send the Minister of enviroment. Most world leaders wont be i. attendance, this lifeless fossil sef. |
BeautifulMind2:Dnt mind them, they dnt even have an idea of whats up. 95% of the industries in the South East are owned by the people while that cant be said of the ones in Ogun. Truth is if I was from Ogun I would be very angry right now, With all this revenue Ogun state Citizens still cant be said to be better off than citizens from states in the South East. Trust an Ibo man, he will rather die than not have money for value, they wont pay all this revenue and not see it being put to good use. If the South East is generating this much, I knw the ibos will not tolerate the sort of nonsense the Governor of Ogun is doing in that state. Ironically, Kano and Katsina dont generate half as much, but takes home more govt subvention than Ogun, Oyo and Ondo put together |
Lol, it simply means the People of Ogun state pays more taxes than the entire people in the South East. This does not mean the Yorubas earns more income, live a better life or are wealthier than those in the South East. There is absolutely nothing to brag about, infact its only shows the Yorubas slave more for the govt. for less. Just 2 Nkrth west states like Kano and Katsina earns more from the Consolidated Revenue Account than Ogun, Ondo and Oyo put together. So wetin una gain with this news? You pay more tax with little share of the till is.not something to be proud about. Its an economic fact the poor pays more taxes than the Rich. Secondly on a deeper look , can we say Yorubas p generatea more revenues than Ibos? Dont think so, after all Its the lagos based Ibos that pay the greater chunk of the celebrated Lagos IGR. |
benj19921993:its a good thing you didnt mention God with the capital letter but some other gods. Maybe Ifa abi Sango? |
adioolayi:GTFUH! BMC crew can never be ablevto hide themselves. Who made it this petty? is not those supporting APC, issue based you say, on what platform has any of the APC folks talked about issues? none, they are on all platform insulting, comolaing or abusing atiku. If want issu base tell your people to bring it on na. Or better still google Peter Obi lectures on youtube. |
- Rotimi Amaechi has been summoned by the House of Representatives committee on land transport - Chairman of committee, Abdulmumin Jibrin, disclosed this on Thursday, November 29, after plenary in Abuja - Jibrin alleged that the committee has received a lot of allegations from credible sources against Amaechi and wanted to investigate the issues The minister of transport, Rotimi Amaechi, has been invited to appear before the House of Representatives committee on land transport over allegations of corruption and breach of process. Channel TV reports that chairman of the committee, Abdulmumin Jibrin, made this known on Thursday, November 29, after plenary in Abuja. Jibrin revealed that the committee has received a lot of allegations from credible sources against the minister and wants to investigate the issues raised. According to him, the lawmakers after a meeting of the committee believe that Nigerians should know about so much of the things being done behind the scenes. Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that Rotimi Amaechi, the minister of transportation, said the National Assembly’s refusal to allow government access to a $30bn foreign loan facility is responsible for delaying the complete overhaul of the country’s railway network. The minister of transportation made the claim when he appeared before the Senate joint committees on land transport and foreign and local debts, which is investigating the alleged abandonment of the eastern rail lines in the rail revitalisation projects across the country. Amaechi noted that the federal government has no plan to exclude the southeast region from the rail project, noting that the region was already captured in the 2018 borrowing plans of the federal government. https://www.legit.ng/1206813-reps-summon-amaechi-corruption-allegations.html |
Nov 29, 2018 The World Bank expects Nigeria’s economy to grow slightly less than 2 percent this year, largely driven by the non-oil industry and services sectors, as the approach of elections keeps foreign investors away, it said on Wednesday. . Nigeria emerged from a recession last year but growth remains fragile, with the government borrowing both at home and abroad to help fund its budget. It has raised almost $9 billion from the eurobond market since 2017 to boost growth. “Nigeria’s emergence from recession remains sluggish, and sectoral growth patterns are unstable. In the second quarter of 2018, the oil sector contracted by 4.0 percent,” the bank said in a statement. GDP grew by 0.83 percent last year after shrinking by 1.58 percent in 2016, its first annual contraction in 25 years. For this year, Nigeria’s central bank is projecting growth of 1.75 percent. Nigeria is largely dependent on its oil sector for government revenues and foreign exchange, but it has been constrained by a subsidy on petrol and other deductions, the bank said, noting that foreign investment was stagnant. stop playing the ethnic card Okorocha. Funny Okorocha was at a time the best performing governor until he joined the APC. Okorocha was used and dumped, to put it simoly APC is not and was never a national party but a Buhari cabal and Tinubu party. You were voted in via the APGA ticket by your people because they saw the good work of Peter Obi in Anambra state, but instead you switched against the will of your people to jumo up with the use and dump party. I pray Hope Uzodinma lives up to expectation of dumping the APC after 2019. |
Since they can not control The South south, they want to annex the only place they control Edo state as the capital. Who dash Edo? whats in Edo? So now the latest plot of the APC is to use Edo to take over South south abi? Tinubu will never succeed. |
POLITICS – A ccording to report reaching us reveals how Emir Of Ilorin Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Zulu Gambari on Friday in a shocking but revealing engagement threw is weight behind the earlier endorsement of the candidacy of Barr. Razak Atunwa. the Peoples Democratic Party gubernatorial candidate of Kwara State in the fast approaching 2019 elections, according to the Ilorin Emirate Council at the Juma’at service held at Ilorin Central mosque last Friday. The Emir who expressed is long annoyance to the way the Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki was treated while in the All Progressive Congress, a party which Saraki sacrificed life and limb to see to victory in the 2015 general election, said he would not let the injustice consume the embattled Senate President. The Emir said the issue of Saraki becoming the Senate President, if well handled, could have brought ease in the running of Buhari-led administration. He further admitted that the ridiculous performance of the Buhari-led administration cannot be unconnected to the rift between the ruling party and the 8th Senate led by Sen. Bukola Saraki. The Emir who said the good governance Kwara is enjoying is because of the genuine love Saraki dynasty have displayed to Kwaran and said: “even as we speak, good and potable water is available for Kwarans, all thanks to Governor AbdulFatai Ahmed leadership and many more.” He also added that the Buhari-led administration lacks the principle of royal dialogue and has brought the Emirate Council to a point where, if not for Saraki, he would have been in shame over the way investigation into the Jebba contract awarded was handled as it attack his person and the institution he represents. The Emir emphatically said “I believe in our Son” and wherever Saraki decides will be where Kwarans will go and if Buhari won in Kwara or gather even thirty percent of the total votes come 2019, he would step down and find respite in exile as he believes the good people of Kwara would do all it takes to vote against the second coming of Muhammadu Buhari and protect the Emirate as an institution of authority and advocate of good governance. Recall that the Emir is one of the machinery that was employed to engineer the downfall of the former Governor of Kwara State, Muhammed Lawal of the blessed memory. He has, on many occasions, declared is unwavering support for the dynasty even when such loyalty keeps it out of step with his subjects. It has also been occasionally rumored that the so many government contracts handled by the Emir were earmarked to him as a reward of his continuous support for the dynasty. Some people in different quarters of the state have described the Emirate outrage as a “shallow threat,” It, however, remains to be seen whether the Emir would fulfill his threat of going into exile after Saraki’s loss. https://mynationnews.com/archives/69803 |
jumper524:Buhari have been tested and is a humongous failure, Atiku left power since 2007, thats over a decade ago, Atiku have never been the President of Nigeria than your orefered cabdidate Buhari. Come May 29, Buhari would have rukked for 6 good years and still a massive failure. So where is your logic and conclussion from? You are subliminally supporting a 2 time president that has failed on both occassion over someone who has never been president before? Bros even that your 12year old neighbours son would do better than the lifeless one you are supporting. Going byvwhich track record? Pls shift. |
more propaganda and networks to soread their lies. I guess APC demonic saints have all formed their own Stations to get a piece of the stolen 24billiin US dollars of Baru like that 19Billiin NNPC gave to Channeles. |
gurunlocker: |
NonsoWow:Brown roofed inhabitant, just because you bare NonsoWow doesnt make you an ibo. lol. Afonja why are you more worried about Ibos than they are themselves? pls face your Failed APC. Ikeremmadu cant even win his state is he can he would be governor by now |
globemoney:you are not Ibo, if you are you would know Ibos are not as you think. I have known them long enough to understand their ways of doing things. Almighty Ojukwu couldnt even win his home state when he contested for the presidency, if Buhari picked Ojukwu as running mate, the best he will get in the East is a divided vote cos Ibos knw Buhari wont do or achieve anything, plus his disdain for Ibos is legendary. Ojukwu lost out in 2003 not cos his people dnt like Ojukwu, but they knew if they voted him then it means indirectly voting for Buhari. Cos their voting strength cant deliver the mandate. Now here is the point, wether Atiku picked Adeshina or any Yoruba against an Ibos, Ibos would still support Atiku over Buhari. Thats what you Yorubas dnt get. It has nothing to do with personal or tribal interest, but rather for peace and progress. Ibos knw a prosporous Nigeria means booming business and progress. A fragmented natiin means less business, no peace and turmoil. There have never been a time Nigeria is this divided, since the civil war, Ibos in the North East lost alot of the investements, the South East Not even the N/Central and N/East are in good terms with the North west cos of this failed divisive man Buhari. But as for you Yorubas, its not important, what matters is your position even if the country is thrown into a civil. or religious war, you rather that than join hands to douce tensions and direct the country towards a peace part. Anyways its only a fool that would think if Buhari is elected and after the killings and someone from the South west emerges that the Ncentral, North East, South south and East that bared the brunt would allow Yorubas have a peaceful reign. Keep decieving yourselves. |
globemoney:Obi was not picked cos of his popularity, he was picked cos of his capacity. Buhari was not popular until OBJ and the people who decides who got what in Nigeria brought him out and sold him to zombies like you. Its only Tinubus part of Yorubas that make so much noise about Obi cos of their fear Osibanjo position is threatened. Ibo dnt betray people, if they dnt like you they say it upfront, I have asked every average Ibo man I know and on.the street, if they cared what the South East governors do or say against Obi? Everyone of them said to hell with the governors. Ikeremmadu is not that influential accross the South East, even in his home state, if he was he should have been the govt by now. But Chime who is.now in the APC cliooed his wings. |
MobilityExpress:hows that your business? Atiku left power since 2007, Obi was exceptional as State gov perfect choice. Atikulating OBIdiently. |

Ogun is less developed when compare to Enugu, Imo Anambra, this is fact if you gone beyond southwest boundary.
