Don't tell me that they are still allowing flights from Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone
Haven't we learnt a lot from Patrick Sawyer's incident?
Screening of passengers is not enough, the guy who took Ebola to the US was also screened but started showing symptoms few days later.
All flights from these regions have to be banned now!!!!

I think the reason why Linda Ikeji stuck with blogger is because it is very hard to hack into like they did to sahara reporters, you will have to hack into google server itself

Nairaland / General / Re: Strange Aircraft Responsible For Building Collapse-TB Joshua by garri4all: 12:02pm On Sep 14, 2014
Journalists, who initially tried to cover the collapse of a building inside the premises of Synagogue Church of all Nations, owned by Prophet T.B. Joshua, saw hell in the hands of the church members.
The church members descended on journalists, who tried to take any photograph of the collapse building. Some journalists got their cameras smashed and other were seriously beaten for attempting to steal some shots of the collapsed building. A particular TV station had the windscreen of its car smashed by the members. What they were trying to hide is still difficult to understand.
By the next day, obviously having read the reports on some of the newspapers, Prophet T.B Joshua surfaced and tried to do some damage control. He invited journalists, who had returned to cover the rescue effort, despite the treatment they got the previous day, to his office in the church premises for a meeting. First he instructed all the cameras to be turned off on the grounds that he doesn’t want his face to be seen and that he was not properly dressed. Then he went to blatantly deny his church members were responsible for the treatment meted to journalists the previous day. He blamed the act on the people of the community absolving his church members. And then out of his ‘benevolence’, he apologized for what the ‘people of the community’ did.
Done with the apology, he then went on to detail what could at best be described as a conspiracy theory as being responsible for the collapse of the building. The building itself had been partially completed and people had been living in it. By this time it was a four-storey building. And then sometime this year, the church decided to add two more storey. People were living in the building while work was going. That accounts for the huge number of causality.
But Prophet T.B Joshua sees things differently. He told journalists that five minutes before the building came down, a mystery plane had hovered above the building about four times.
Please take your time o listen to the video as Prophet T.B. tells his tales.

Education / Harvard Student Accused Of Making Campus Bomb Hoax by garri4all: 9:06pm On Dec 18, 2013
BOSTON (AP) — Bomb threats that led to the evacuations of four Harvard University campus buildings this week were made by a student trying to get out of taking a final exam, federal prosecutors said Tuesday.

The student, 20-year-old Eldo Kim, sent emails saying bombs had been placed around campus to Harvard police, two university officials and the president of the Harvard Crimson newspaper, according to a criminal complaint filed by the U.S. attorney's office.

The messages said shrapnel bombs would go off soon in two of four buildings, including one where prosecutors say Kim was supposed to take an exam at 9 a.m. Monday. The buildings, on Harvard's campus in Cambridge, just outside Boston, were shut down for hours before investigators determined there were no explosives.

Kim, who lives in Cambridge, is to make an initial court appearance Wednesday. It was unknown if he had an attorney.

Investigators from several agencies searched the buildings for hours before determining there were no explosives. One of the buildings was a freshman dormitory; classes are held in the other three.

Harvard said in a statement it was "saddened" by the allegations in the federal complaint but would have no further comment on the ongoing criminal investigation.

An FBI affidavit filed Tuesday says Harvard determined Kim had accessed TOR, a free Internet product that assigns a temporary anonymous Internet protocol address, using the university's wireless network.

The affidavit says Kim told an agent on Monday night he had acted alone and sent the messages to five or six Harvard email addresses he picked at random.

He said he sent them about half an hour before he was scheduled to take a final in Emerson Hall, one of the buildings threatened, the affidavit says. He said he was in Emerson at 9 a.m. when a fire alarm sounded and he knew his plan had worked, it says.

Kim said he sent the emails from his laptop computer using TOR and Guerrilla Mail, a free Internet application that creates temporary and anonymous email addresses, according to the affidavit.

Kim's LinkedIn profile says he is an undergraduate scholar at Harvard's Institute for Quantitative Social Sciences. The institute's website says he is a research assistant who has worked for a professor analyzing partisan taunting and also writes for the Harvard International Review and dances as a member of the Harvard Breakers.

The maximum penalties for a bomb hoax are five years in prison and a $250,000 fine, prosecutors said.

Bandit C.:

I studied Business Administration at Mannheim University in Hessen Sir. Student insurance is quite cheap here. Around 85 Euro in a month.

Many M.Sc courses are actually offered in english as Germany is diversifying in the international dimension.

One thing is sure. When you study in Germany, you are like a force anywhere you appear. Your knowledge would be unprecedented. Studying here is so worth it. They hold nothing back in making you a force. Trust me.

Here in Österreich, tuition fee for international students is 750€ per semester and insurance is about 50€ per month.
I'm shocked that you said education is free in Germany. I will really like to ask you, is it free for M.Sc courses offered in Englisch too?

I studied in Germany. Started from undergraduate school. I speak fluent German and know much about school and work in Germany. If you have any questions, be it about English or Deutsch in Germany, l would be glad to answer.

For a starter, University education is free.

Hi Bandit,
I'm studying in Austria and I want to cross to Germany for my M.Sc once I'm done with my B.Sc
What parts of Germany is education free? How much is the student health insurance per month?
What university did you finish from? What did you study?
Are there M.Sc courses available in Englisch?
I hope to get a reply

Food / Why Are African Restaurants Not As Popular As Asian Restaurants? by garri4all: 10:52am On Sep 23, 2013
This is just something that I have noticed. In Western countries, Asian restaurants are very popular but you'll hardly see an African restaurant. Even when you see one, the people there are mostly Africans and this is why they are not familiar with the African cuisine.
The Arabs are very famous for their kebabs, if they have small money like this next thing na to open kebab kiosk/shop.

That advert is not done directly on CNN, its done on dstv, they are only viewed when you are in nigeria, Dstv uses the advert time of any other CNN advert to show UBA advert but its always in time with the main advert CNN is doing at that particular time. wink

No you are wrong, I live in Austria and I see the UBA advert too whenever I watch CNN. I usually see Zenith and UBA advert on CNN International. It makes me freaking happy as it draws me closer to home and I usually tell my friends and anyone who cares to listen that those are Nigerian banks. grin
