In Lagos, it can come anytime even after one month, what matters is that a notice was given, the tenant still maintains the right to complete the tenancy or move out early and get a refund. A tenant that was given a 6 month notice in month 4 and the notice covers all the way to month 10, has been duly served. After the rent expires, the only notice left is a 7 days intention to recover. Just did this for 2 tenants last year and the judge gave the order easily.
