Rough idling

No idling on cold start.

Loss of power.

Oil leaks.

Exhaust always leaking.


Main suspect is fuel pump and MAF, will service injectors, replace plugs, check fuel pressure, modify exhaust by attaching a flexible exhaust net near where it breaks all the time, will also check engine mounts.

The owner was around thru out the repair process and job has been completed. But I have these pics for the house, when there's constant breaking of your exhaust pipe, and you are sure the problem is not from the engine mounts, you can introduce this flexible part.

House, i quite appreciate this forum please my honda civic hybrid is constantly developing fault after fault. Recently it developed engine drop, it occurs very regularly, i am tired of giving mechanics money. they call it one name after the other, some say it is slow-run, others say it is engine drop, yet another still call it break and quench. I am not a pro when it comes to car issues but i am truly tired, what can i do.

I'm 100per sure you are not telling us what really happened.

A change from 20W50 to 5W40 would have little or no effect on the noise you were hearing. How did changing a seal disrupt your original timing settings? Well happy your car is running fine but as I said your story is incomplete.

Please,gurus in the house, your solution to this problem is highly solicited. My toyota Rav4 2001 4 cylinder 4 wheel drive makes this persistent kpom sound each time it is being driven.The sound is not heard when the car is in high motion but when it slows down it is heard as frequent as every minute.The sound seems to be coming from the back tyres but a check on the tyres shows it is not from the tyres.

It could be anything from strauts to sway bar links to bushings, to a loose bolt or exhaust touching the body.

If in lagos come for free diagnosis.

KPOM stands for Knock Position Override Mechanism. When the KPOM sensor goes bad, you begin to hear funny noises like Kpom..this is different from the kikiki and kakaka sensors and not to be confused with the grrr sensor.

Thanks alot everyone ...siena gazzuz u guys did well.....a couple of factors caused d noise missed timing and wrong oil grade now got all that fixed ...timing set correct oil spec the engine roared like before and very quiet too.....

What oil did you use previously?

I came across a classic bmw car on Olx and I have been in talks with the seller. He's legit enough but the car is immobile/ grounded as a result of a faulty OHC according to the seller.

Sad thing is I'm far and would only want to travel down, pay and pick up the ride.

I need a mechanic who can go help inspect the car, give feedback of repairs, possibly get the car fixed before I come for collection.

Pls I need a good and honest AC technicial for my car a camry 2003 model around Gowon estate ipaja area precisely Abesan estate, I have refilled the gas twice and yet within two weeks the thing starts blowing just ordinary air, asked the last AC guy that worked on it if there was any leakages detected or if the compressor was bad he said non of the above that the car need more gas that if there was any leakages that the oil he added to the AC compartment will block any of the openings. After doing all the fixes he suggested, barely two weeks later the thing has started blowing ordinary air again. Help needed thanks in advance.
